Izuocha Extra Chapter pt.3

Koda sat on the edge of a low, broken bench in one of the hotel's eerie, dimly lit hallways. His hands fidgeted with the loose hem of his jacket as his eyes darted toward the small cluster of moths fluttering silently near the overhead light. Normally, their presence would have been a comfort, a sign that his quirk was working and that the animals trusted him.

But this time, they felt... wrong. Detached. Almost mechanical.

He tried again, closing his eyes and focusing all his energy on reaching out to them. He pushed the familiar warmth of his thoughts outward, the way he always had when he wanted to communicate with animals. Yet the connection didn't come. The moths didn't respond.

They never did.

"I don't get it," Koda whispered, his voice trembling slightly. "How can something... block my quirk like this? It's not natural."

"None of this is," Deku said softly as he approached, his footsteps careful on the creaky floorboards. He crouched in front of Koda, his green eyes filled with concern. "Whatever this curse is, it's not just physical—it's warping how we interact with the world. It's like the laws of nature don't apply here."

Uraraka joined them, sitting beside Koda and placing a comforting hand on his shoulder. "But quirks are tied to who we are, right? Like, they're part of us. If this place is strong enough to interfere with that..." She trailed off, biting her lip.

"It means it's stronger than anything we've ever faced," Deku finished grimly.

Koda looked between them, his voice barely above a whisper. "What if... what if it's not just this place? What if it's something bigger? Something we can't fight?"

Deku sat back on his heels, his mind racing. "You mean... like the doomsday theory?"

Uraraka's eyes widened slightly. "I've heard about that. The idea that quirks are becoming too powerful, too unstable, and someday they'll... collapse or something."

"Didn't we Midoriya deal with that with Shigiraki already though?" Iida asked adding to the conversation

"It's not just a collapse," Deku explained, his voice taking on that analytical tone he always got when piecing things together. "The theory suggests that quirks are evolving so quickly that eventually, they'll spiral out of control. The balance between humans and quirks will break down, leading to chaos—or even extinction."

Koda's face paled. "You think... that's what's happening here?"

Deku hesitated. "I don't know. But this "curse—it feels like it's exploiting something fundamental about our quirks. Like it's testing how much we can take before we snap." Iida Interrupted

Uraraka frowned, her hand tightening on Koda's shoulder. "But why? What's the point of all this? Why trap us here, why mess with our quirks?"

"Maybe it's a warning," Koda said quietly.

Deku,Iida and Uraraka turned to him, surprised.

"Maybe it's showing us what could happen if things go too far," Koda continued. "If quirks get too strong, or if we rely on them too much." He looked down at his hands, his voice heavy with emotion. "I've always thought of my quirk as a connection. A way to understand and protect the animals around me. But here... it's like I've lost a part of myself."

Deku's jaw tightened, his mind working furiously. "If that's the case, then we need to figure out how this place is doing it. If we can understand the curse, maybe we can stop it—or at least fight back."

"But what if we can't?" Uraraka asked softly. Her voice was steady, but there was a flicker of fear in her eyes. "What if this is just... what's coming for all of us?"

Deku reached out, taking her hand in his. His grip was firm, reassuring. "Then we don't stop fighting. "No matter what." Iida finished

Koda looked at them, his gaze lingering on their joined hands. Despite the weight of their conversation, there was something comforting in the way they leaned on each other.

"But how do we fight something like this?" Koda asked. "If it's bigger than us, bigger than quirks..."

"We start by sticking together," Deku said firmly. "By protecting each other and finding out what we can about this curse. We've faced impossible odds before, and we've always found a way."

Uraraka nodded, her expression determined. "And we will again. We're not going to let this place win."

For a moment, the four of them sat in silence, the weight of their discussion settling over them. Then Koda looked up at the flickering moths, his jaw tightening.

"Maybe... maybe my quirk doesn't work right now," he said quietly. "But I'm not going to let that stop me from helping. If we're going to figure this out, I want to be part of it."

Suddenly Iida sat up sparking his engines up "Were getting out of here" Iida said with determination.

Deku smiled, his green eyes shining with resolve. he smiled at Iida bursting away then waved "Bye Iida" The three waved him off "Hes right we cant let these people win" Koda said "That's the spirit, Koda. We'll find a way out of this. Together."

And as the three of them rose, ready to face whatever the cursed hotel had in store, a faint, ominous sound echoed through the hallway—a reminder that the battle was far from over.
