Christmas Eve

The warmth of the fireplace painted the walls of Todoroki's room with flickering golden hues. Momo felt the heat rise in her cheeks as Todoroki gently held the mistletoe above their heads, his mismatched eyes soft and steady. The weight of the moment was almost overwhelming, and she braced herself, her hands clasped tightly together.

Todoroki hesitated for a second, as if contemplating the leap they were about to make. Then, slowly, he leaned forward. Momo felt her breath hitch.

Before their lips could meet, the door burst open again.

"Yo, lovebirds!" Bakugo's loud, unapologetic voice shattered the moment like glass hitting the floor.

Todoroki froze mid-motion, his expression quickly shifting to irritation. Momo's face burned as she practically jumped back, clutching her chest in shock.

"What is it now, Bakugo?" Todoroki asked, his usual calm voice tinged with frustration.

"Dinner's ready, Frosty! Quit being a recluse and get downstairs before the nerds eat all the good food!" Bakugo barked. He glanced between the two of them, smirking as if he could sense the tension in the air. "Or... were you two busy?"

Momo flailed, waving her hands in denial. "N-no! We were just—uh—talking about mistletoes!"

Bakugo snorted, clearly unconvinced. "Sure. Whatever. Just get your butts downstairs. And tell the sparky idiot to quit yelling, or I'll blow him out of the damn house."

With that, he stomped away, muttering about how everyone was acting weird tonight.

Momo stared at the door, her heart racing. She could barely believe what had almost just happened. She turned back to Todoroki, who sighed deeply and placed the mistletoe on the nearby table.

"Shall we go?" he asked, his voice gentle but his expression unreadable.

Momo nodded, feeling her heartbeat begin to steady. "Yes... let's." As they walked back downstairs to join the others, the festive chaos of the group enveloped them. Denki was trying to plug in lights, only for half of them to blow a fuse. Kirishima and Mina were posing for selfies in their matching Red Riot gear, while Tsuyu quietly chuckled at their antics. Mineta, in his ugly sweater, was arguing with Bakugo about dessert portions, and Naruto was trying to mediate.

The warmth of friendship filled the air, and though Momo's mind lingered on what had almost happened upstairs, she couldn't help but smile. This was what made their group special—moments of chaos, humor, and love that brought them all together, no matter how many years had passed.

"Icy hot, Ponytail Wheres the tree?" Bakugo asked sitting on the couch by tokoyami and denki

"We forgot It..." Todoroki said. He grabbed Momo's Hand leading her back upstairs

Todoroki and Momo ended up away from everyone to go get the Christmas tree box out of todorokis room so they could set It up with their friend.

In todorokis room with the fireplace lit the two were getting rather suggestive... Momo realized, The two were on Todorokis bed, He was on top of her while she was laying down,

Todorokis mind was racing this may be It,

They might kiss on Christmas now all they needed was a...."MISTELTOE LOVEBIREDS!"

Denki ran In the room throwing a mistletoe landing It on Todorokis head. Todoroki shook It off.

Mineta was laughing "Kiss, Kiss, Kiss" The two chanted from the door way the two were laughing with their eyes closed.

Todoroki quickly climbed off of Momo.

Denki opened his eyes seeing this and covered his eyes like a kid. "Whoa sorry dude" He said "Leave my room" Todoroki said. Mineta ran. Todoroki sent shivers down his spine and denki walked away winking at Momo he mouthed "Go get em tiger"

 Todoroki sighed facepalming.

"Im sorry Todoroki" Momo was overthinking the whole situation. "Were me and Todoroki really gonna?"

 "No" She shook It off.

The thoughts In her head would not win. "Its Christmas you should be outside with the others and your family. "not dragged In here with Me." Momo said hands on her chest as she got up from the bed putting her shoes back on

"Momo..."

Momo's cheeks lit up as todoroki took her hands In his

"Is It fine If I call you that?" He asked.

Momo didn't respond. She couldnt respond, her heart was bursting, the butterflies were swarming around In her stomach. "Your bright red are you okay?" Todoroki asked.

Momo shook her head tears of joy coming out.

She thought that she was finally speacial enough for him to call her by name.

"Y-yes! Its fine" Todorki smiled. This was the first time Momo has seen his smile, It was majestic, beautiful and he smiled at her. Of all people her. Todoroki grabbed the mistletoe off the floor

"Can I?"

 Momo nodded bracing for Impact.

 A kiss.

It was scary.

It was one singular kiss.

how bad could It be? The twos lip joined, On Christmas Eve. Their lips met in a gentle, tentative kiss. Momo's eyes fluttered shut, and she felt a warmth that had nothing to do with the fire. It was sweet, soft, and over in what felt like an instant.

When they pulled apart, Momo's cheeks burned, but she couldn't stop the smile spreading across her face. Todoroki looked just as flustered, his usual calm demeanor replaced by a rare softness.

"I... hope that was okay," he said quietly, his voice barely above a whisper.

Momo nodded, her hands clutching the hem of her pajama's nervously. "It was perfect," she said, her voice shaking slightly.

The door suddenly creaked open, and Denki poked his head in. "Oh, come on! I knew it! I knew you two were gonna kiss!"

"Denki!" Momo gasped, her face turning an even deeper shade of red.

Todoroki sighed, his hand instinctively rubbing the bridge of his nose. "Denki, leave."

"Fine, fine," Denki said, throwing his hands up in mock surrender. "Just saying—best Christmas present ever. I'm telling everyone!" He grinned mischievously before darting off down the hall.

Momo groaned, covering her face with her hands. "Oh no... now everyone's going to know."

Todoroki reached out, gently placing a hand on her shoulder. "Let them," he said, his voice steady. "I don't mind."

Her breath caught at his words, and she peeked up at him from behind her hands. He was serious, and there was something comforting in the way he looked at her—as if nothing could shake him.

"Come on," Todoroki said, offering her a hand. "Let's go help with the tree before Denki tries to plug it in and electrocutes himself."

Momo couldn't help but laugh, taking his hand. Together, they walked back to the living room, where chaos had erupted. Kirishima and Mina were trying to untangle a string of lights, Tsuyu was hanging ornaments, and Bakugo was yelling at Mineta to stop eating the popcorn garlands.

Denki spotted them and grinned. "There they are! The lovebirds!" he teased, earning a sharp glare from Todoroki.

"Denki" Todoroki started, but Momo squeezed his hand, stopping him.

"Let it go," she said with a small smile. "It's Christmas, after all."

And as they joined their friends in decorating the tree, the warmth of the holiday and the joy of being surrounded by loved ones made everything feel just right. For the first time in a long time, Momo felt truly happy—and maybe, just maybe, she'd found a little Christmas magic of her own.

The warmth of friendship filled the air, and though Momo's mind lingered on what had almost happened upstairs, she couldn't help but smile. This was what made their group special—moments of chaos, humor, and love that brought them all together, no matter how many years had passed.

Todoroki, standing beside her, nudged her arm gently. When she glanced at him, she noticed the faintest curve of a smile on his lips.

"Merry Christmas, Momo," he said softly.

Her heart swelled. "Merry Christmas, Todoroki."

The night went on, filled with laughter, memories, and the undeniable warmth of being surrounded by the people who mattered most.

The night unfolded like a perfect Christmas dream, alive with the sound of laughter and the chaos of old friends reconnecting. The Christmas tree now stood proudly in the corner of the Todoroki living room, glimmering with lights and mismatched ornaments from both childhood and their adult lives.

Denki had, predictably, managed to blow another fuse when plugging in the lights, but Kirishima saved the day by rewiring the string in record time. Mina dramatically posed under the tree for photos, showing off her Red Riot-themed pajamas, much to Kirishima's embarrassment but obvious delight.

"Looking good, babe!" Mina teased, flexing alongside her boyfriend, who turned an impressive shade of red that rivaled his hero gear.

Tsuyu was busy sorting through presents with calm efficiency, stacking them neatly under the tree while occasionally swatting Mineta's hand away when he tried to shake one. Bakugo sat grumpily on the couch with Tokoyami, who had been surprisingly silent, sipping on hot chocolate while Bakugo muttered something about "keeping these extras in line."

Momo found herself standing near the fireplace, sipping from a steaming mug of tea Todoroki had made for her. The earlier moment in his room replayed in her mind, sending a soft blush to her cheeks. It was the sweetest Christmas gift she could've asked for, even if Denki's antics had somewhat spoiled the mood.

Todoroki, meanwhile, stood by the tree, carefully hanging a delicate snowflake ornament with an unusual focus. His serene expression seemed almost untouched by the lively commotion around him. Occasionally, his gaze flicked toward Momo, and though his face remained neutral, there was a warmth in his eyes that hadn't been there before.

"Oi, lovebirds," Bakugo called out, snapping them both out of their thoughts. "We doing presents or what? I'm not sitting around watching Sparky fry another light socket!"

"Relax, Bakugo," Kirishima said, throwing an arm around him. "It's about the holiday spirit!"

"The only spirit here is the one I'm about to kick out if they don't hurry up!" Bakugo growled, glaring at Denki, who was balancing a candy cane on his nose.

Everyone laughed, the air filled with playful banter as they gathered around the tree to exchange gifts. The pile was a mix of thoughtful, quirky, and downright ridiculous offerings—everything from hand-knit scarves to gag gifts like Mineta's neon-green socks with frog prints, which he proudly declared were "Tsuyu-inspired."

As the night wore on, the group settled into a comfortable rhythm. The warmth of the fireplace and the soft glow of the tree lights gave the room a magical quality. The chaos of their younger years had softened into something nostalgic yet vibrant, like they'd never truly left their days at UA behind.

Momo leaned slightly toward Todoroki, who had taken the seat beside her on the couch. His hand brushed against hers as he handed her a gift—a small, neatly wrapped box with a simple silver ribbon.

"For you," he said quietly.

Momo's heart skipped a beat as she carefully unwrapped the gift. Inside was a beautiful, intricately designed bookmark, engraved with the Todoroki family crest and her initials.

"I noticed you still read a lot," Todoroki said, his tone steady but soft. "I thought... maybe you'd like it."

Momo's eyes shimmered with emotion as she looked up at him. "It's perfect. Thank you, Todoroki."

He gave her a faint smile, one that sent her heart soaring all over again. "Merry Christmas, Momo."

"Merry Christmas," she replied, clutching the bookmark tightly as the laughter and joy of their friends echoed around them. It was a night they would all treasure—a night filled with warmth, love, and the unbreakable bonds of friendship.
