It was already 8pm and Kalaiyarasi was getting antsy.. "Veetla pondaati thaniya irukaale, office lendhu seekram varanum nu konjamaavadhu feelings irukka ivarukku!!? Namma thalai ezuthu" she muttered to herself as she settled on her couch to catch up on her favourite soap on the TV. It didnt seem to help her as the Periyanni started a sob-fest in the story; she checked her mobile.. 8:20PM!! "Are you kidding me Maara... yov... innum ena office manangati.. dho irukku unaku.." she called him..

"Enga irkeenga!! 8:20 aachu.." she didnt say anything else

"Hey sorry d... dho anje nimisham..on the way..drive panitruken..5 mins la anga irpen.." Maaran answered in a hurry.

"seri bye!" she said blankly

"Hey aprom.." he continued.

"Aprom??" her face brightened.

"...Semma ya pasikudhu..dinner readya??"

"Ahn ahn..elaam ready dhaan... hmmph" she hung up.

Maaran was home at 8:30 and once he freshened up he directly went to the dining table and she dutifully got his dinner plate, place it and left without saying a word. Maaran gobbled up his food in extreme hunger and once he was done realized his wife didnt speak a word with him. "Kalai... hey Kalai.. ena d kovama??" he asked in a husky tone as he walked to her.

Maaran sat helpless; he knew he was late, he knew he had a valid reason; he has logical arguments to support himself but he couldn't stand his wife's angry-sad face. He knew what he had to do. With a naughty grin he went and sat next to her on the couch.

She exhaled angrily and turned her face to the other side. He then went to the other side to see her face and she now turned her face against him. This went on for a few seconds and then Maaran made up a loud fake sneeze "Achchouuouououuuuuu!!"

Out of habit Kalai went on to say "God bles..." and stopped abruptly realizing she was angry and wasn't going to talk to him. "Hahahah en niruthivittai Kalai.. un varthaigalai keka ododivandha ennai emaatradhe" Maaran started teasing her. Kalai couldnt help but smile.. "Pesi tholaikren.. God bless you!! shabba... idhukulaam onum korachal illa..aana lateaa vara vendidhu" she smiled putting her arms over his shoulders and looking at him with so much love.

"Aww.. avlo love aa en mela!! Seri.. suppose andha few seconds ninnu pona heart, God bless panra gap la apdiye enaku ninnurchuna?" he asked her and realized his mistake at once.

She pushed him away instantly, with wide angry eyes and swiftly walked into the bedroom with cartoonish sparks emitting from her. "Pochu da.. Maara..unaku vaai la dhaan sani! Thirumbavum kovama..?!! Chellam..hey iru d.. na velaadinen..." Maaran went calling after Kalaiyarasi while getting ready to fake a sneeze once again!!
