Chapter 11: It's not my right
I hear a tap on my window, making me wake up and look at it. Blaze had a wide grin on his face as he pointed at the lock. I got up and opened it.
"Think you can stay awake for 48 hours?" he asks. I looked at the clock, rubbing my eyes.
"Do I have to?" I yawn.
"Yes, we can get you over that fear of needles and we could go to a party tonight. Then we can go to an abandoned amusement park tomorrow, get on a Ferris wheel and go to a wide field where we can watch and name the stars," he smiles. "Now get ready, I've got breakfast in the car."
I took a quick shower and wore a gray knitted sweater and jeans with brown boots. Once I was out Blaze wasn't in my room and the door was open. I put my phone and wallet in my pocket and went out of the door.
"Okay, I trust her with you..Again. Just take care of her and avoid trouble. Get into another police chase and I'll kick you out of her life" I hear my brother sigh from his room. I went in his room to see what the fuss was about.
"Cat, hey. I asked permission from your brother so neither of us get in trouble" Blaze gives me a wink before ushering me out of the house and into his car. He opens the door for me and goes to his seat.
"So, where's breakfast?" I ask. He laughs and reaches into the backseat, giving me fries, waffles, and hot coco. I looked at him and smiled. "You're the best"
"I know, princess" he smirks. "Eat up, we're going to get you an acupuncture session and then we'll have a walk around town, watch a movie, eat lunch and then get that tattoo. By night, we go to a party" he says all planned.
"What have you done with Blaze?" I asked, surprised.
"Why? Do I seem more attractive when I've planned everything out?"
"Maybe" I smirk. My reaction takes him off-guard and he looks at me, slowing down.
"What?" he asks. I stay silent and eat instead. He pouts and starts speeding up.
"We have a 2-hour appointment with the acupuncture thing, my treat" he says after a while.
"So early?" I asked.
"Yep, they're open 24/7" he shrugs.
"And the tattoo?" I asked again a bit too excited.
"I have the best artist in town to work on that, where do you want it?"
"Long but slim wings on my lower back" I blurt, unable to contain my excitement.
"It'll hurt like a bitch though" he admits.
"How do you know that? You don't even have a tattoo" he parks the car in front of a spa and smirks, tugging his pants down a bit. There I saw a candle.
"Why a candle?"
"I want to light people's paths"
"Smartass" I laugh.
"Well?" he wiggles his eyebrows. "Let's match, you could have a heart with a halo and wings and I'll have thorns and the devil's tail on a heart." he grins.
"Sounds wonderful" I grin back.
-*-
We were on our way to the Ink-spire, the tattoo place Blaze was bragging about. He was teasing me about getting scared of the needles but let me tell you--
I fell asleep.
I guess the acupuncture points really did relax the brain. We hop out of the car and went into the place with the bell over the door ringing.
"Hugh!" Blaze shouts.
"Blaze? Wow, it's been so long" Hugh comes out of his office, wiping his hands clean.
"A special request for matching tattoos" Blaze winks.
"Is this your girlfriend?" Hugh smiles at me and I smile back, respectfully. He was muscular with raven black hair. He looks around his early 20's.
"Not yet" Blaze throws a smirk at my way. "She's a tattoo virgin, by the way"
"I'll keep it gentle as I can, you'll treat her after this right?" Hugh asks like it was obvious.
"We have a lot of fun stuff to do after this," Blaze replies as he sits me down, then he tells Hugh the design and where I told him I'd want it. Blaze sat in front of me, lifting his shirt off and winking at me. Hugh calls his assistant to do the tattoo on Blaze.
"You might want to hold my hand for this," Blaze holds his hand out.
"Does it hurt that much? Are you sure this isn't one of you games to hold my hand?" I said, skeptic. I felt the needle at my back and I cry out in pain, immediately taking Blaze's hand. "O-Okay, it hurts like a bitch."
"I told you so," Blaze laughs then stays still once the assistant starts drawing on his back.
"Oh shut up, Weston," I groan and bit my lip as the needles prick me again and again.
"You're hot when you're pissed," Blaze winks.
"The only thing pissing me off right now is your face"
"Is that so? I guess you won't need this--" he takes his hand away but I held it tighter.
"Okay, I give up, don't let go please. It hurts," I plead, holding my tears back.
The pain lasted for 40 more minutes and Blaze placed a cold towel over it for a while to ease the pain.
"That will take 2 weeks to heal completely, so you need to wash it often to prevent infection," Hugh informs me and I simply nod in reply.
"How is it?" Blaze asks, his back at me. I reached out for his upper back and traced the lines. It was beautifully done and I couldn't help but admire it. He turns to me and puts his shirt back on. "Now, how about that party?"
-*-
We could hear the music blasting from a block away and I'm getting concerned of the people trying to sleep since it was so late already.
After an hour of partying and drinking we decided to sit down on the couch.
"Want some more drinks? Soda, water, punch?" Blaze asks.
"I'll go get it myself, it's just by the pool right?"
"Yes, are you sure?" concern laced his voice.
"Yeah, I'll meet you back here, okay?" I insisted and he nods at me.
I quickly went to the drinks and no, this wasn't cliche that my drink was spiked and I was raped. I got the drinks without any harm. I came back to Blaze only to see the worst.
I take back what I said, this was cliche-- when you see the one you like kissing someone else. I felt my heart tore to shreds. I left the drinks on a nearby table because it doesn't mean you're upset, you don't have to be civilized.
But, why was I upset?
He isn't mine
He's not my boyfriend, why should I care if he kisses another girl?
It's not my right..
