Act 7; Is something wrong, Tsukki?

"OI, GO HOME AND REST!" Ukai, the volleyball club's current coach, yelled from the store. "Tch." Tsukishima lightly stated, walking away from the conversation with Kageyama. "Let's go, Yamaguchi."

"Coming Tsukki!" Ren lowered her gaze, trying to run what just had happened in her head, while the blonde and the freckled boy turned away, leaving.

Wait... isn't that our coach? He works here?

Well, he did say something about running a store...

"We'll be leaving then," Nishinoya saluted Daichi playfully, as the captain nodded. "You better be ready for tomorrow's game," Tanaka pointed at himself, "because we won't go easy on you." Ren grinned, excitedly. "Neither will we."

--

"H-Hinata-san..?" The female lowly called the overly excited ginger. "Why doesn't Kageyama like being called King?" Hinata put his hand on his chin, as he walked, trying to think. "His old team at Kitagawa Daichi gave him that name. King of the Court."

Ren's eyes widened, before gasping slightly. "That's such a cool name though..."

"Right? But you shouldn't call him that. Otherwise he'll go all angry on you and give you the cold shoulder." Hinata explained, but not as thoroughly as Ren had wanted. But it was good enough. "Th-Thank you, Hinata-san. If it bothers Kageyama, then I won't call him by that." Ren bowed, rushing, before heading towards this 'King'.

Leaving Hinata alone, the short ginger sighed. "...Kageyama?" The black haired genius turned around, from facing the store. Ren bowed as quickly as she could. "I'm sorry about earlier..."

Kageyama's face heated up, out of embarrassment and he had turned away, praying that no one had seen it. "You don't need to apologize-"

"We're heading home. Make sure you get plenty of rest." Daichi reassuringly advised the bunch to go. "The match is tomorrow." Sugawara smiled, resting his arm on Asahi's shoulder. Daichi, Asahi and Sugawara, all went in the same direction, south. As soon as this had happened, Kageyama turned to Ren, "I'll be on my way then."

He walked off, in the direction of the third years. Sugawara spun around, a last time, before smiling, and waving. "We look forward to playing with you, Yoshida-san!" Ren returned the heart warming smile with her own. "We do too."

Ren watched as they disappeared from sight, as she turned around, to encounter Hinata, getting his bike ready, facing the opposite way. "I'll get going too, then! See you tomorrow, Yoshida-kun!" Ren chuckled slightly, "you too, Hinata-san." While Hinata rode off into the distance, the sun set, making Ren stare in awe at it.

I need to get back home.

...Where was it again?

Ren took out her phone, and took off the phone case.

Good thing I wrote it here.

She turned the case to face her, reading her address.

The problem is... I don't know where I am...

--

Coach Ukai started to close up shop, before hearing a slight noise on the door.

What was that, the wind?

He sighed, turning off the lights of the shop, before screaming at the sight of a figure at the glass door. "Coach Ukai! It's me!" The figure knocked once more. He then squinted his eyes, to see a female with their hair tied up, wearing a coat. "...Yoshida-? Wait, what are you still doing here?!" He opened the door to have the girl trip in, falling on the floor.

Is that... even possible..?

She got up, and wiped dirt off her clothes, pouting, "I-I'm kind of lost..." Ukai then sighed, rubbing his temples and placing a cigarette in his mouth. "Geez, can you even lose your house...- Where do you live anyways?" Ren pulled out her phone and took off its case, giving it to her coach. "I see... It's not too far away."

He ordered, "take a right, through the street over there." Ren nodded, as he gave her farther directions, gesturing where to go.

Yamaguchi looked up at his friend, remembering how bothered he was today. So he thought, what better time than to ask now?

"Is anything wrong, Tsukki?" The tall blonde looked over at his shorter friend, and he sighed.

Tsukki sighed? That means he is really bothered.

"Yamaguchi?" The freckled boy gazed up towards Tsukishima, who had continued to look forward. "Yes, Tsukki?" Yamaguchi was surprised that Tsukishima was going to ask him something, since he rarely ever did.

Is Tsukki going to ask me for advice?

"Let's say, a specific someone is bothering me. That their entire existence was so irritating-"

"Is it Yoshida-san?" The tall megane nodded, as Yamaguchi started laughing. "What are you laughing at?"

"Ah, nothing Tsukki. This is so like you," the freckled first year then looked back at his taller friend, whose cheeks dusted pink from embarrassment. "I remember you did this with Hinata and Kageyama." Tsukishima then opened his mouth, "shut up." Yamaguchi smiled, gazing back upwards.

"What part about her bothers you?" Tsukishima then said in the blandest tone he could give, "everything." Yamaguchi chuckled slightly, "I can't help you like that, Tsukki." It took a little while for Tsukishima to speak up, but after a bit, he did. "She's extremely timid and persistent. It's annoying. She acts like she's modest, but on the inside, she's just like the shrimp."

"Ah, Tsukki," the shorter one called out. "You've gotten used to Hinata, haven't you? It may take a while, but you'll eventually get used to her too, since she may join our club." Silence covered the conversation, until Tsukishima finally broke it. "I guess so." Yamaguchi sighed, with slight relief in his tone.

--

Finally.

Ren plopped down on her bed, and throwing her bag onto the floor.

Coach gave me the right directions, but I took the long way around.

It was almost 10pm and Ren still had needed to get the formations for the team ready; although, she had got the main idea down. Ren untied her hair, letting it fall to her shoulders. She then plugged her phone onto the charger, setting her alarm to 12:30pm. After taking a shower, Ren washed her uniform, knowing that she had needed it to be clean, as well as her.

11:20pm

Should I call mom, or text her?

Ren sat near the bed, picking up her device, sighing.

Text it is.

"Are they always this late?" Tanaka exclaimed, crossed arms. "Tanaka, there's still time." The bald second year clicked his tongue, looking over at Sugawara. "Yeah, but only a few minutes."

The first years stood quietly, patiently waiting for their 'so called' captain for the day to come. Daichi turned to Ukai, who had fallen asleep, out of boredom. Snapping his fingers, not only did the captain wake up the coach, but also disrupted the indecent thoughts of his team. "Guys, there's no worries." Coach Ukai sighed, placing his hand on his head, as Takeda, the adviser, read out a new speech that he had been working on.

That girl... She probably arrived late last night-

"S-sorry I'm late!" The coach's mind cleared when Ren, busted through, breathing heavily, leaning on the door. Sugawara and Daichi both raised their hands and placed it on their necks. "You're not exactly late..."

"Yeah, its 3:29..." Tanaka added to Asahi's sentence, with a little annoyance in his tone. Ren sighed out of relief, trying to catch her breath. "I didn't think anyone would be here early..." She held her breath, with the most unbelievable excuse for her late wake up.

"You're not exactly early either." Nishinoya chuckled, resting his hand on Tanaka's shoulder. "It was our fault. We didn't tell you that we come half an hour early for preparation." Daichi sighed, as the clock hit half an hour after 3, as Ren looked down, disappointed in oneself. "That's alright," the coach started, "I guess we'll prep until 4 then."

Ukai announced, shortly before calling over Ennoshita and Kinoshita. A small voice spoke out in shock behind her. "She's tall..." Ren turned, only to view a figure who had quickly bowed, most probably out of embarrassment. The female of the team, immediately bowed as well, but hit her head into his in the process.

"Gosh, I'm so sorry!" She apologized, eyes wide, while rubbing the top of her forehead. "N-no, that's alright." Sugawara and Daichi stood there, speechless.

She hit her head while bowing...

"Yoshida Ren... It's nice to meet you," the girl spoke, looking down on the figure. "T-Takeda Ittetsu, I'm the volleyball club's advisor." He bowed again, "it's a pleasure to meet you." She smiled, shortly before looking around, puzzled at the silence of the gym. Takeda looked at her, dazed.

She gets distracted easily...

"It's awfully quiet here; where's Hinata-san and the rest?"

"Daichi told them to be patient and wait." Sugawara smiled, as he gestured over to the corner of the gymnasium. Ren gasped ever so slightly, clasping her hands together. "Thank you, Sugawara-san." She was amazed by the silence of the team.

No fighting between Tsukishima and Kageyama. Hinata's not throwing ridiculous remarks. Yamaguchi is... Well, as always. Ren walked towards the group, relieved, before a voice spoke out, "wow. The test hasn't even started and you're leaving a bad impression." Tsukishima insulted, making the 13th of the team flinch.

She tapped her fingers together, only to look away at the ground. "Y-you think so?" The blonde let out a small "tch," before turning the other way in disinterest. Yamaguchi observed his friends behavior, knowing that he was annoyed. "Alright, now that that's done, let's get to the positioning."

Ren offered, taking out her little notebook. "Tsukishima-kun, Yamaguchi-san, I'm going to have you both start in the back."
