"Ah, what took you so long, Yoshida?" Nishinoya hummed, with a hint of worry to his tone. "Yeah, we we're about to come back and get you ourselves!" Tanaka added, making Ren's cheeks heat up as an answer. "Ah, no worries guys." She started as she looked ahead of her while jogging, "I was just tending to some things."

She started jogging at the same pace as Tsukishima and Yamaguchi, making sure she was at the same level as them. It kind of annoyed Tsukishima, so he started running further ahead, followed by Yamaguchi, which had been followed by Ren. So it ended being a non-stop cycle, until the blonde gave up and just jogged slower. "RYAA!"

The team looked ahead to see Hinata and Kageyama speeding off, probably racing one another again.

It never ends, does it?

"Hinata, shut up! You'll get worn out if you yell pointlessly!" The coach yelled, as Hinata ignored him and ran ahead, making even louder sounds than usual. It continued on, until the ginger disappeared from sight, making everyone stop in their tracks. "What an idiot..." The tallest of the team breathed, as Yamaguchi chuckled.

"Geez, that kid doesn't tire down, does he?" The coach sighed, having Daichi place his hands on his hips. "I highly doubt Hinata knows where he is going." Kageyama held his breath, trying to hide the fact that he was worn out as well. "Allow me to look for him-"

"I'll look for Hinata-san, don't worry, Kageyama." Ren spoke out, almost immediately noticing Kageyama's fatigue.

Does Kageyama even get tired?!

"If you insist, Yoshida." The coach rubbed the back of his neck, "meanwhile, the team will continue on." The team choired an "osu" in unison, before Sugawara spoke out. "Yoshida-san may not know where we are headed, so I will tag along as well." The coach nodded in approval, before the team went ahead.

"He went..." Ren pointed to the front, "that way?" Suga nodded, as the both ran ahead. Ren didn't lie on whether or not she had needed help, since she was honest with herself, and knew she had no clue on where she needed to go. But she thanked Sugawara for helping her.

"Ah... A fork in the road." The third year looked both left and right, before stopping. Ren halted as well, before signing. "I'll take the left, Sugawara-san." The platinum blonde nodded, as he took the right.

Where to go...

"Damn it, Hinata-san. Did you have to run off?" She muttered under her breath, as she took a left again. Ren ran a bit faster, since she wanted to find him as soon as possible. She felt scared, since she could easily get lost in a place like this. The girl slowed down her pace, and took a right to see some people. And to her surprise, it was Hinata and a few others.

"Hinata-san!" "Kenma!"

Ren's voice clashed with another, causing Hinata to turn to her, and a blonde kid to turn to a tall, black haired male behind him. "Yoshida...kun..." Ren rushed towards the energetic first year, as she was about to scold him. "Ah, it's Kuroo." The stranger spoke out, in a soft, calming voice.

Ren glared into the tall male's dark eyes, before he gave a small smirk. "Until next time, Shoyou." The shorter male named 'Kenma' warned, before turning to Kuroo, causing him to pull his 'cat-like' gaze away from the young girl. "Don't go wandering wherever you like."

"Sorry."

The bunch spoke out, before walking off. "Next... time?" Hinata spoke out dazed before Ren snapped back into reality, pouting. She then raised their hand up to his head and flicked him. "There you guys are! You know how long it took to find you?" A familiar voice called, making Ren and Hinata bow down. "Sorry, Sugawara-san."

--

"Nice receive, Yamaguchi!"

"Nice one!"

After 5 successful receives, they switched onto Kageyama, then Hinata. After a while, they had finally finished, everyone breathing heavily out of tiredness, except for Hinata, who had seemed to be getting more pumped up with every volleyball he had hit.

"Azumane-san? After, but not before afternoon practice, could you hit some light tosses from me?"

"Oh, um- Sure!"

The hyper first year leaped at the opportunity, "me too!" Only to get rejected.

"Anyways... What sort of team is Nekoma?" The first year prodigy questioned curiously, getting a reply from the coach almost as soon as it had been asked. "I don't know about their current team, but in the past they didn't have any outstanding offense players, and they had no gaps in their defense." Ren chuckled slightly, before blurring out, "not like our team then."

"It's nothing like us!" He grinned, before getting back to the point. "As you'd expect from the team called 'cats', they're flexible." Ren's eyes glittered in delight, since she would be seeing a match with a really great team against a really great team.

--

"Coach, coach!" Ren annoyed the blonde haired store owner, until he yelled back. "What?!" She was planning on asking which setter would be used for the line up, but the thought kind of depressed her, and so she slouched down with a darkened expression. "Nothing..."

The coach sighed as he took a sip from his drink. "That's the third time, Yoshida." She nodded slowly as she tightened the grip on her shirt. "I-"

"Ukai-san!" A voice called from behind, causing the coach to stand up and face it. "What is it, Sugawara?" Ren looked at Sugawara, who had seemed to be determined to achieve something. "For us third years, there's no next year." His voice echoed out, causing Ren's eyes to widen, as well as Ukai's.

"That's why we want to win as much as possible. We want a ticket to take us to the next stop. And if it's Kageyama who deserves it more than I, then you should choose him without hesitation." Sugawara spoke, shocking the people around him. Ren smiled warmly to the coach, but it seemed like he was still troubled.

This guy..-

"Sorry for saying something like this so suddenly, but even if I'm a substitute, or even when Kageyama's exhausted, if it increases my chance of playing with Daichi and Asahi, none of that matters." Silence fell over the hall, and Ren had sighed as she listened to Sugawara's speech. "Sugawara... I've been taking you too lightly."

Yes you have, coach.

Ren thought as she sighed once again in relief, I guess I don't have to ask him anymore, huh?

"I'm an experienced coach, so I'll do anything I can to make you guys move forward."

--

"It looks great~" Ren cried after another long day of work. After she was plated, she ate really quickly, and got another one. At this point she really didn't care what people thought of her. "How can they have such a big appetite?" Tsukishima said sluggish, as he looked at Hinata and Kageyama, then back to Ren again.

"I'm going to puke-" Yamaguchi stated before getting scolded by their senpai. "Even if you force it down, eat! What if it gets hot? You'll shrivel up and die!"

"Hey, Yamaguchi, are you going to eat that?" Hinata asked as he reached tor something on the other first year's plate. "Oi, Let Yamaguchi eat!"

--

"Sensei... They're ready." Kiyoko softly told, as she pointed to a box on the floor. "The uniforms."

"Uwahhh!" Hinata fangirled as he took out his. "Noya-san's the only one that stands out!" The libero pointed to himself then, "because I'm the star player!" Hinata then yelled out "I knew that!" After he was lectured by Kageyama.

He has a single digit number.

The ginger sulked as he investigated the setters Jersey. "That's the one the little giant wore." Sugawara said cheering him up. "Little... giant?" Ren asked, as she watched everyone unravel their uniforms. "Did you do this on purpose, coach?!"

"No, it's just a coincidence..."

"It must be fate then." He held it up in front of him. "He just said it was a coincidence." Kageyama said bluntly, as Hinata pat him on the shoulder, "don't be jealous, Kageyama."

"Why would I be jealous?!"

"Speaking of little giant." Ren got engaged in what the coach was about to say. "Even when he was here, and the strongest of the team," he sighed, "we still never beat Nekoma."

Ren raised an eyebrow, wondering how great this Nekoma team was. "So let's go out there and revive our school reputation!"

"Osu!"

--

"Here." Kiyoko held a plastic bag in her hand, before giving it to Ren, "What... is this?"

"Since we have an extra uniform, we'd like you to have it." The captain smiled, as Ren acquired it in her arms. "Go try it on." Suga advised as she did what she was told.

--

"Good, good, it fits well." Daichi smiled, as she turned around in it. Aside from it being a male uniform, she loved it. She missed the feeling of the Jersey on her. "Is it okay, Sugawara-san? Daichi-san? I mean- I'm not exactly on the team..."

She remembered telling Daichi and Sugawara specifically. "...I don't want to join a girl's team. More specifically, I don't want to play for real on a team. Whenever I end up playing for a reason, I weight all the blame on myself. So I'd like to assist, just to help people out with the sport, even if I'm not the best, Sugawara-senpai, Daichi-senpai."

"Obviously, now you can wear it whenever we go to a game." Sugawara smiled, making her smile back. "There's a number after mine?" Yamaguchi sounded relieved, as Ren grinned with an idea. "Yeah, you're number 12, right Yamaguchi-san?"

He nodded, as she quickly ran up to Tsukishima, taking the chance to cheer him up, since he has been looking as gloomy as ever. "How do I look, Tsukishima-kun?" She smiled, as his expression didn't change the slightest. "As always; an idiot." Ren sighed, how could she think his reaction would change?

"But you do look more like a boy." He snickered, making Ren chuckle a bit, much to the blonde's surprise. "My, my. I wonder if I had said yes to becoming Tanaka-senpai's girlfriend or Noya-senpai's, what would the other teams think?" She smiled sadistically, only to get the same smile returned back at her. "You wouldn't."

She grinned, tying back her hair, "it was just a plot."

Tsukishima sighed, as they got back to cleaning. "Yoshida-kun! You look great!" Hinata and the second years complimented, making her avert her gaze and smile. "But you do kind of look odd wearing the sleeves and tights under. Isn't that hot?" The first year hopped, making Ren shake her head, gesturing that it was all fine.

--

The entire team woke up early in the morning, walking to the front of the gym. Ren was shaking with excitement, scaring the others quite a bit. She then passed by the coach, and pinched her nose due to the scent. The odd combination didn't work well, and Ukai noticed this. "Sensei... Do I still smell of tobacco? I sprayed Febreez..."

"N-not at all! You smell like lavender."

"Line up!" The captain of the team ordered, having everyone obey him.
