Thirteen's POV

We arrived. I got out of the car and looked up at the lab. I inhaled sharply as started walking towards it. "Save energy," I mumbled. 

"Just let me do all the heavy lifting until we get down to the gate, alright?" Hopper said. "Y-yeah..." I said stepping over a dead body. 

I shuddered and kept close, next to Hopper. "Now, just follow me." He said leading the way. I followed closely while looking around cautiously. 

Mike's POV

I sat in the car watching carefully as Max swerved around on the street like a drunk man. Steve groaned but I didn't pay too much attention. 

"Nancy?" I heard making me look over. I gave him a confused look. "Wha-how do I even look like her?" I asked.

Steve went to grab his head, but Dustin stopped him. "No, don't touch it," Dustin said removing his arm. 

"You put up a good fight." Dustin praised. "He kicked your ass but you put up a really good fight," Dustin said. 

"Oh, my god!" Steve yelled trying to get up. "Steve, you need to relax. She's driven before." Dustin said. "Yeah, in a parking lot!" I shot back annoyed. 

"Hey, it counts!" Lucas said turning around. "Would you assholes shut up! I need to focus!" Max yelled. Steve kept freaking out. 

"I told you he'd be freaked out, but no, you didn't listen to me," I said. "Make a left!" Lucas yelled. "What?" Max asked. 

"Left!" Lucas yelled pointing. She turned and hit a mailbox before turning too quickly. Steve held onto me like I was his lifeline. 

I couldn't breathe. Everyone screamed. "Get off of me!" I yelled trying to get out of his death grip.

She pushed the pedal to the metal and before we knew it, we were there. "Hello!" Steve yelled. "Woah!" I said breathlessly. 

"Told you, Wheeler. Zoomer." She said turning off the engine and getting out. We wasted no time getting out of the car and grabbing the protective gear. 

"Guy's..." Steve said but we all ignored him. We put on handkerchiefs, swimming goggles, and gloves. We made our way to the hole and went down. 

I looked at the map I drew and looked which way we were going. "Uh... yeah, I'm pretty sure it's this way," I said pointing to my direction with my flashlight. 

"You're pretty sure?" Dustin asked. I rolled my eyes. "I'm a hundred percent sure!" I yelled getting annoyed. 

I started walking but got stopped by Steve. "No, dipshit! If you die I'm getting the blame." He said snatching the map out of my hand. 

"I'm leading you now," Steve said. We all followed while stepping carefully. "Okay, so... if we go here we should end up there," Steve mumbled to himself. 

Thirteen's POV

A slight noise came from down the stair, making us stop. "Wait here," Hopper said going down the steps. I waited to see his face turn to shock. 

"Hey, Doc." He said. I started walking down while Hopper helped the doctor. He looked up at me. "Oh, yeah, you guy's haven't officially met," Hopper said fixing his leg. 

"Thirteen, this is Dr. Owen. Dr. Owen, this is Thirteen. She's been staying with me for about a year now. Hey... maybe when this all said and done. You can help her." He said. 

Dr. Owen groaned when he tightened the belt too tightly. "She should have a normal life." He said getting up. "Think about it will ya?" He asked now leaving. 

I stared at the doctor before catching up to Hopper. I kept looking back at Dr. Owen. He stared at me then closed his eye's. 

Mike's POV

"Okay, turn here," I said. Steve huffed in annoyance, but he turned where I said too. We kept walking until hearing Dustin scream. 

We ran back to see him fall over. "Dustin?" I asked. "It got in my mouth! Shit!" Dustin yelled coughing and spitting. 

"Holy shit," Steve said as we watched in horror. Dustin soon dialed down and looked at us. "I'm okay." He said. 

We all groaned in annoyance and started walking away from him. "Real funny," I said. "Wait!" He said trying to catch up. 

We turned once more and then we were there. "I think we found your hub," Steve said. I looked at it in disgust. 

"Let's drench it," I said grabbing the bucket of gasoline and opening it. We all started to spray and dump gasoline all over the place. 

Third Person

Thirteen walked down the hall but stopped abruptly due to a sound. Hopper looked at her then to the door. "Stay here." He said going up ahead to see how many Demodogs were left. 

Hopper walked to the door all stealthy before peeking over to see at least ten Demo dogs. He took a deep breath while waiting for the right moment. 

Thirteen stood there in the hallway terrified. Her breathing increased as she looked up ahead at Hopper. 

Meanwhile, at the tunnels stood the party and Steve. "Alright, you ready?" Steve asked them. "Yeah," Mike said. 

Everyone geared up as Steve took out his lighter. "Light her up." Dusting said. Steve looked over and lit up his lighter. 

"I'm in so much trouble." He said looking at the flame. Will was still choking Joyce as the monster was fighting its way back in its host. 

Nancy ran up and grabbed the poker from the fire and slammed it down into Will's stomach. Will screeched and thrashed around. 

hopper went around as the Demodogs geared up to pounce on him only to stop when Steve threw the lit lighter into the tunnel, setting it on a blazing fire. 

That was enough to make the mind flayer come out of Will and exit into the cold night. Hopper watched as the Demo dogs all screeched then ran off to find the fire. 

Jonathan turned off all the heat and rushed to Will, making sure he's alive while the party and Steve run as fast as they can to the exit. 

"It's safe now," Hopper said to Thirteen. She came in and looked at the damage she caused over a year ago. 

"Chief, do you copy." Everyone heard. Hopper grabbed the supercom and put it up to his mouth. "Yeah, I copy." He said. "Close it," Jonathan said. 

thirteen stared at the gate a bit longer before walking to the broken glass and stepping over it. "Careful," Hopper said. 

Thirteen's POV

We slowly went down a bit to get to a clear spot. I stood there still a bit frightened. I looked over and saw Hopper's hand was free and grabbed it. 

He gripped my hand as we stood there slowly going down and see more of the gate. "It's okay. I'm right here." He said. 

Mike's POV

We kept running as fast as we could. Steve looked down at the map and shined his flashlight. "Here!" He yelled. 

I felt like I was slowing down. I looked up then down before something grabbed my leg and made me fall face first into the hives. 

I screamed. "Help!" I yelled as I tried to squirm free for it to be no use as it wrapped itself around my body trying to take me away. 

Thirteen's POV

Hopper pressed stop on the machine and I let go of his hand. We stood there looking at it. I took a deep breath before focusing on the gate. 

My hand slowly going into a fist as I started to feel my nose bleed. I wanted to focus on nothing else but closing the gate and that's what I was going to do. 

A shadow then appeared from the other side making me lose a bit a focus. I slowly became more nervous than when I already was. 

Mike's POV

I screamed trying to get it off of me as it wrapped around my hands and started to go for my neck. 

"Hold on!" Steve yelled grabbing me. The rest of them grabbed me making Steve let go and grab his bat. He repeatedly hit the thing until it broke. It screeched and went away. 

"You okay?" Dustin asked as they helped me up. "Yeah..." I said. "We need to go-" Steve said before getting cut off by a screeching noise. 

We all jumped back before Dustin went up to it. We began to protest but all he did was hold up a hand. "Trust me." Dusting said stepping closer. 

"Hey, Dart." He said. We all sat in silence as we watched Dustin kneel down next to Dart. "Will you let us pass?" Dustin asked only for Dart to snarl at him. 

We all jumped back again except for Dustin. He stayed calm. "I know... I'm sorry about the cellar thing." He said. "He's crazy," Lucas said getting a smack to the back of the head by me. 

"Shut it," I whispered yelled. "That was a stupid thing to do to a friend." He said. Dart looked away and made a few noises. 

"You hungry? I got nougat. You're favorite." He said showing Dart a Muskateers bar. He opened it up and sat it down in front of Dart. 

Dart sniffed it before eating it up. "Go," Dustin whispered. He didn't have to tell us twice. We all started going past Dustin and Dart but stopped to wait for him. 

Dustin got up and looked back at Dart. Dart looked back for a moment only to go back to eating nougat. "Goodbye, old friend," Dustin says before we start rushing to the exit once more. 

Thirteen's POV

I stare at the gate to see not really any progress made. I close my eyes and think of Kali. "Try thinking of something that angers you," I remembered. 

Flashes of painful moments came to me. I exhaled before raising my hand up and opening my eyes. The gate started to close. 

I stood there focusing while thinking of things that angered me. Hopper yelling at me flashed through my brain making it go quicker. 

Mike's POV

We stopped once hearing noises. "What was-" "They're coming I said cutting off Max. "Move!" Steve yelled as we dashed to the exit. "Here, here!" Steve yelled seeing the rope. 

He grabbed Max and lifted her up. She grabbed ahold of the rope as Steve then lifted up Lucas then me. Lucas grabbed my hand and lifted me up along with Max. 

I turned around and went to grab Dustin's hand but he wasn't coming up. "Dustin!" We all yelled reaching our hands down to grab him. 

Steve and Dustin hugged each other and we all prepared for the worse. I shut my eyes but no screams came out. I opened them to see the Demo dogs going past them. 

We watched them all go past them. I started thinking about Thirteen. "Thirteen," I said as I watched in horror. 

Thirteen's POV

I felt the blood dripping down both my nostrils as I thought of more things that angered me. My breathing became heavier as I heard Hopper's gun go off. 

I started to think of Papa. I glared at the shadow mind flayer as it started to come out. My eyes widened before stomping really hard and using both of my hands.

I screamed as I slowly made my hands come together. it was like I was closing it by just doing that. My ears then felt warm as my blood boiled from anger. 

"Die!" I screamed out with all my might as I felt my energy running low but still kept fighting on. I closed my eyes as I cried trying to get any energy. 

Mike's POV

We turned around to see the car headlights get significantly bright. We all covered our eyes and closed them tight like the sun was going to crash into us. 

I turned away and looked out to see all the other lights from the distance was brighter than the sun. 

Thirteen's POV

I continued to scream as the gate then finally closed. Everything went dark. It was over. I fell back but was caught by Hopper. 

He grabbed me and engulfed me into a big hug. I was too tired to move. I was unbelievably drained. 

I rested my head on his shoulder as I cried. "You did well." He said stroking my long hair. I slowly raised up my hands and gave him an actual hug. 

"I... sleep..." I said about to pass out. "Go ahead." He said making me smile lightly before going into complete darkness.

Mike's POV

We all watched as the lights went dark. You could only see the partial light from the sky until everything came back on. Just not as bright. 

Will's POV

The light's came back on and everyone was looking around while I had a smile on my face. "What was that?" Joyce asked. 

"Thirteen..."
