Dallas, Texas 1963
(A/n: In case the tittle didn't give it away, I thought I should mention I couldn't find any inspiration/ come up with original ideas for the rest of season one so I decided to time skip to Season 2.)
It had started out just like any other day of 1963 in Dallas, Texas: hot, bright, and sunny with an undertone of racism with a dash of sexism. It had only escalated from there.
Nova had spent the past two years preparing herself for the end of the world. The days she would spend with Klaus and Ben, and entertain his occult. The evenings she worked on probability maps and locating the others. So far she had only been able to come into contact with Diego and Vanya, but in the end she decided it was best to leave them out of it besides the updates she was constantly sending.
Instinctively Nova turned her head as she heard her name being called. A light carefree smile graced her face for the first time in years as she ran towards the brunette boy.
He wrapped his arms around her waist and tried to use her momentum to swing her around like a scene from a movie. Much to Five's disappointment, Nova being taller than him now made it more difficult than he thought it would be. As if to entertain him, Nova used her powers to help him out. Five set her down as he completed the turn and buried his face into her perfectly curled hair.
Nova smiled softly. "I knew you'd come for me."
Instead of answering, Five pulled back and tried to kiss her only to be stopped by her finger. In a fake serious tone, Nova let out a sigh. "I'm not into younger men."
Five tossed her his classic 'shit eating grin'. "Well, good thing I'm older than I look."
Smirking, Nova shifted her hand so she was pulling him closer. "Hmm good thing." Heat rushed to both faces of the 'teens' as their lips connected and Five pulled Nova closer by her waist. After an eternity, they pulled back.
Nova smiled softly as she linked arms with her fiancée. "Well, come on then. We've got a lot of catching up to do."
Five's eyes lit up at the temptation. "Nov, there's no time. We did it again."
Her face fell slightly. "Of course we did. You can tell me all about it... after you shower. And I bought you some new clothes. The end of the world can wait 30 minutes."
He relaxed slightly as the blonde lead him through 1963 Dallas, Texas. "Join me?"
She smacked him playfully. "You wish."
"God, you have no idea." As they grew closer, she covered his eyes with her hands. With anyone else, the brunette time traveler would've fought against it every step of the way. Instead he only tensed first a second before relaxing and letting her guide him. "Tada!"
He let a ghost of a smile cross his face. "Nice place."
She tucked a perfectly curled strand of hair behind her ear. "Thanks. Sorry about the mess, we just moved in. Now go on, we can talk after you tidy up. Promise."
