*Friday*

It was Friday and we had work today and Saturday together. Ray and I relationship was really starting to grow. We talked all the time, at work, at school, and late at night when we were tired. I wanted to get to know the real him , and that was exactly what I did. I was glad that it was the weekend. Today seemed like it flew by, because it was already time for work. As usual, I got dressed for work and I picked up Ray on the way. We had our normal talks about our day and how we thought work would be like. Besides from any other day, today Ray was happy. He was genuinely happy with a bright smile on his face. Maybe he really had a good day. Ray and I arrived at work. As we walked into the door everyone was screaming and acting crazy, I looked at the tickets and they were spitting out orders. Ray and I grabbed our apron and money, as we rushed orders out the door.

Friday nights were always busy, so we did not talk much, unless it had something to do with work. By the time work had slowed down, it was time to closed. I have not had any time to check the clock, since we were so busy. I grabbed a broom and started sweeping. When I was done sweeping, I cleaned my area, and turned my money in. Whatever money I had left, that was my tips for the night. I would have 10 to 20 dollars left, and Ray would only have eight or so. For some reason, girls would make more tips than the guys, but it did not bother him. Ray and I cleaned the floors and our areas really good. It was nearly midnight and I was ready to go.

"Hey we are leaving!" Ray shouted to the manager.

"Y'all sure everything is clean?" The manager asked.

"Yes sir!" I said.

"Alright you two can leave," he said waving bye.

Ray and I headed for my car, as we both hoped in. I started the engine, as we drove off. Ray turned on some music, as I drove to his house. It was a quiet drive to his house, but Ray still had a smile on his face. I turned my blinker on and turned down his road. When I saw his house, I pulled to the side of the road, and put the car in park.

"Thank you for bringing me home Lexi," Ray said taking his seatbelt off.

"Don't thank me. We live close to each other, so I don't mind," I said facing Ray.

"I have been meaning to ask you something lately," Ray said quietly.

"Sure what is it? You can ask me anything," I said nervously waiting for his mouth to move.

"Will you..." he paused.

"It's okay take your time," I said trying to reassure him.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" Ray asked as he gently ran his fingers through my pony tail and grabbed my hand.

"I-I-I," I paused. "I'm sorry I just been waiting for you to ask me. Yes Ray, yes! I would love to be your girlfriend," I said hugging him.

"Thank you so..." I started to say as I was cut off by Ray. I was about to thank him but, instead he grabbed my face and kissed me. We did not make out, it was only a kiss. A kiss that started it all. Ray's lips were so soft and gentle. The kiss was romantic. He did not force me, but instead he lead me. When our lips touches, my heart began to race. My lips could simply melt onto his.

*KNOCK KNOCK*

Ray and I both jumped when we heard knocking. Ray pulled himself away from me and opened his door.

"Come on bro we got stuff to do," Ray's friend said.

"I'm coming give me a minute," Ray said annoyed at his friend.

"It's fine you can go, I will see you tomorrow," I said thinking about our kiss and his lips.

"You sure baby?" Ray asked.

"Baby?" I replied.

"Yeah it's your new name for me," Ray exclaimed.

"I like it," I said starring at his lips.

He leans over and kisses me once again. This boy was good.

"I saw you looking at my lips. I got to go baby, call me when you get home," he said getting out of the car.

"Bye handsome," I shouted as he shut the door.

Ray shut the door behind him and I headed home for the night. I could not stop thinking about his kiss. I took a shower and ate dinner, but I still could not stop thinking about him. So I did what he said, and that was call him.

*RING RING*

Ray: Hello?

Lexi: Hey handsome!

Ray: You made it home safely?

Lexi: Yeah I just can't stop thinking about our kiss!

Ray: Oh Really?

Lexi: Yeah really!

Ray: I miss you and them lips baby.

Lexi: Oh stop it!

Ray: I'm tired baby.

Lexi: Aw okay, me too

Ray: Goodnight beautiful

Lexi: Goodnight, see you tomorrow cutie

*Saturday*

     The next day, I woke up that afternoon around one o' clock and we had work at five. That was exactly four hours until Ray and I had work. I usually slept this late anyways, since I do not leave work until midnight. My parents were already awake, cooking and doing their own things to even realize I was awake. They knew I liked getting as much rest as I could on the weekends with school. As I dragged around the house and did my daily routines, my mind wandered off into thoughts about him. My mind was stuck on him, but what about my heart?

*DING DING*

Ray: Good morning baby
Ray: Wake up sleeping beauty :)
Ray: It's almost 12 babygirl. I miss u
Ray: I had fun last night being with you

All these messages were for me. He gave me butterflies in my stomach. My heart would begin to race a little. My mind would freeze or go blank when I was around him, but now he is my boyfriend.

Lexi: Good afternoon love. Sorry I slept so late. I had fun last night too :)

Ray: Thankfully your awake, or else I would have to ride my bike and come see you :)

Lexi: Are you always this sweet to girls?

Ray: Only to you baby girl!

Lexi: Your sweet but, not as sweet as me.

Ray: I agree with you :)

    Ever since Ray and I started dating, we would do the same daily routine like we did. I would pick him up from his house and we would ride back and forth to work together. We tried to spend as much time as we could with each other when we had time. The days soon turned into weeks. Although, it has not been a month yet. The more time we spent with each other, the more we grew on each other. Ray and I were together, but we were best friends. Everything was perfect with him, he helped me forget all the bad in the world. He would show me the good things in life. I never wanted to be apart from him, he was my happy place.
