i cant help but want you
Maybe it was better this way.
Percy and Nico didn't belong together, obviously. If they did, the fates would have put them together already.
So maybe it was better like this, and maybe Percy just needed to move on. But, how could he do that?
He'd have to ignore Nico.
Sure, it would be hard and it would most likely be painful, but it was the only way to get through this, right?
Percy slid on a light blue coat as he stepped out of his cabin and into the cold air. He was glad his mother had let him stay at camp year round, at least for this year.
He was taking online classes. Which was dangerous, as monsters could track him, but they wouldn't be able to get into camp anyway.
Maybe he could get a phone, so he could contact his friends. He missed Grover. He would usually just IM them, but that wasn't an option because the gods haven't been letting any calls through lately.
Percy walked to the dining pavilion, his hands stuffed into his pockets. He got a glimpse of Annabeth. Her eyes were bloodshot and she looked like she wasn't getting much sleep lately.
Percy hated that he was the reason for that.
He turned away when he noticed that Annabeth had been staring back at him.
He continued through the pavilion and grabbed a simple red apple. He made his way through the crowds of people and walked out of the pavilion, deciding to eat in the amphitheater instead.
The amphitheater was colder than the rest of camp, and was luckily empty. He took a seat next to the fire pit and peered up at the sky. He asked himself why.
Why? Why was he made this way? Why was he a demigod? Why does he always have to fear death? Why were the Greek gods real? Why where stupid myths that he learned about in school true? Why was the world so stupid?
