What's Best For Business

'Never trusted Triple H to begin with. #SummerSlam'

The tweet that became the catalyst for this match.

A three-on-one handicap match, The Shield vs Dolph Ziggler.

This was the authority's way of punishing Dolph for what he said, even though other individuals had the same opinion yet they weren't being punished like this. It made Kaitlyn think that maybe Dean himself go to the COO of the company, Triple H and say that he wanted to punish Dolph, but used the tweet to cover up what this really was about.

This wasn't about the tweet, this was about sending a message to Kaitlyn to show her that he was true to his words.

That he wouldn't like what she would do to Dolph if she kept hanging around him.

The smirk on Dean's face as he stared down Ziggler in the ring confirmed her suspicions even more.

He started off the match, Roman and Seth stepping on the apron.

"You wanna show off? Show off.", Dean spoke over the crowd before they locked up.

Kaitlyn knew that Dolph probably won't come out of this match as the winner, I mean let's face it, he's facing the most dominant stable in the company today, it was a three to one chance that he was going to win. Plus, they never do things by the books, they'll find some way to punish him.

As the match went on, Dolph put up a fighting battle, but with the frequent tags on frenzy offence of The Shield.

It ended with a spear from Reigns and then a triple power bomb.

Letting out a huff, Kaitlyn stood from her seat and headed off to find Dolph. She wanted to tear Dean a new one, but that would have to wait until later, her mindset was currently on the blonde who was just in the match. Finding the doctors office, she knocked on the door, hearing 'come in' before opening the door, walking in.

Dolph was here.

"Are you okay?", Kaitlyn asked walking up to him with a look or concern as she took his hand in hers.

Dolph gave her a small smile as he nodded his head slightly, "Yeah, I'll be fine. Nothing too much to worry about, I called it coming.", he shrugged.

"They shouldn't do that."

"It's the authority, they can do what they want basically.", Dolph shrugged, letting out a sigh.

Kaitlyn sighed, not wanting to tell Dolph the reason she thought he was called out for this match. Knowing that The Shield have somewhat some form of authoritative control was a scary thought and a danger, not only to just Dolph, but to every superstar on this roster.

Superstar or Diva, no one seems to be safe anymore.

"Are you going to be okay?", Kaitlyn asked placing her hand on his shoulder. Dolph looked up at her and gave her a small smile in reply. "I'll be alright."

Nodding slightly, Kaitlyn removed her hand as she looked down. "Urm, I'm gonna go. I'll see you later?"

"Of course."

Kaitlyn gave him one last smile and a kiss on the cheek before she exited the medical room, her face falling into a look of determination as she headed off down the corridor.

"Good job, boys.", Hunter smiled admirably at the stable standing infront of him. "Just got one more job for you and then you're done for the night."

"Impressive work out there taking care of Dolph Ziggler and Big Show.", Stephanie nodded in agreement.

"All in a days work.", Seth shrugged with a smirk causing them all to laugh. "So who else needs taking care of?", he questioned looking between the COO and the Billion Dollar Princess.

"Daniel Bryan, we need you to ambush him as we lure him down the ring, you'll know your signal when to attack.", The Game explained.

The Shield looked at one another, nodding in understanding.

"And don't worry, you're getting paid triple for this job.", Stephanie added.

"Nice.", Dean commented.

Hunter nodded in agreement as he exchanged a glance with his wife before turning his attention back to the three men infront of him. "You may leave now gentlemen, we'll see you soon.", he shot them a smile before they exited the office, closing the door behind them.

"Three hits in one night, boys. Let's make sure we put the beat down on this troll.", Roman smirked.

"Damn straight!", Seth nodded in agreement.

Dean smirked at the exchange between his two stablemates until his vision locked with the two toned female who was wondering backstage, seemingly with a mood on her. "Hey, you two head up I'll catch you in awhile.", Dean patted Seth's arm as he gestured for them to continue on.

Seth and Roman exchanged glances before shrugging and headed off, leaving the United States champion behind by himself.

Dean stood there as he watched Kaitlyn walk around, like she was searching for someone. "Looking for anyone in paticular?", his voice caused her to snap her head in his direction, her face darkening in expression as she paced quickly towards him.

"Who do you think you are?"

Dean scoffed as he leaned against the wall, "Excuse me?", he asked raising a brow.

"You heard me you son of a bitch, who the hell do you think you are?", Kaitlyn repeated, her voice slightly deeper with anger.

Dean let out a short laugh, a humoured grin appearing on his face. "Darlin', I have no idea what you're talking about."

"You are so full of crap.", she shook her head. "The attack on Dolph."

"What about it?"

Kaitlyn scoffed as she looked at him with disbelief. "You expect me to think that wasn't your doing?"

"Just took orders from the boss, doing what was best for business.", Dean replied in a flat tone.

It was now Kaitlyn's turn to let out a laugh as she heard his words.

'Doing what's best for business.'

Triple H's new slogan he had been throwing around since today like it was never going to go out of date.

"Bullshit.", Kaitlyn replied bluntly after she had composed herself. "I know you had some leaway in that, you wanted Ziggler in a match didn't you?", she questioned his motives.

The look on Dean's face looked like he wasn't going to deny it, a sly smirk on his lips as he looked down. He was impressed that she figured it out so quickly, then again, he always knew that Kaitlyn wasn't one to let things go over her head just like that.

"I'm impressed, darlin', well done."

"Oh, don't patronise me.", she narrowed her eyes at him. "Why are you doing this?", her voice lowered to mumble.

Dean pushed off the wall to stand infront of her, no space left between them as he let out a sigh, rolling his shoulder as he looked to the side, asif he was in thought of what he would reply with. Looking down at her, his blue eyes locking on her hazel ones he answered her question.

"I think you already know the answer to that, don't you?", his voice lowered to a husky tone.

Moistening her lips by running her tongue over them swiftly, Kaitlyn bit her lip slightly as she stared up at Dean. An instinct swiftly kicking in the back of her mind, something what she hadn't felt for awhile.

Her breathing quickened as Dean raised his hand to move a strand of hair before placed his hand on her face, his thumb rubbing slowly across her cheek. Kaitlyn's hand came to rest onto of his as he started to lean in, only for his lips to come in contact with her cheek.

Quickly pulling away, Dean let out a frustrated sigh as he glared at Kaitlyn. She turned her head back to face him, the look of anger making a reappearance on her face.

"Like I said to you last night, if you go near him again, you won't like what I'll do. Today was just a warning."

"And like I said to you last night..", Kaitlyn smirked at him, speaking in a snarky tone. "..You can't control what I do, and who I'm with. You don't own me."

Dean let out a simple 'hmm' as he played with his dog tags, seeming unphased by her words.

"You need me more then you know, but when the day you finally see that..i'll be here waiting patiently.", he stated simply before walking off, leaving Kaitlyn standing there confused yet alone, just like last night.
