SummerSlam
"I mean as much as it sucks not to have a match it sure is nice to just be able to relax.", Seth spoke as they all got ready.
The tag team champions didn't have a match on the card, however the United States championship was on the line on the pre-show before the actual pay-per view started, Dean going up against Rob Van Dam.
He was booked to win, retaining the title by disqualification thanks to interference by Seth and Roman.
"I understand, but we'll be out there supporting our boy so it's all good..", Roman paused for a second, zipping up his tactical vest. "Right Dean?", he looked over at the eccentric member of their faction who was staring aimlessly infront of himself as he taped his hands.
"Dean.", Seth spoke in a more sterner tone finally getting the attention of him.
"Yeah, of course.", he nodded with his trademark smirk. Ripping off the tape he stood up, throwing it into his bag and picked up his US title. "I'm going for a walk, warm up and stuff."
"Okay, see you up there?", Roman asked, meaning their usual place before they get escorted with security to make their entrance through the WWE Universe.
Dean said nothing more then a simple 'yes' as he headed out the door. Seth and Roman traded looks with one another, noticing his rather strange behavior. Well, they knew Dean was a strange individual but even this was strange for him to be acting like this.
They had noticed this past week he had been distant and quiet, it was unusal for him to be like that, especially to his stablemates.
As Dean headed out of the locker room, he placed his title around his waist, securing it. Walking the backstage halls of the Staples Center he turned the corner only to find Kaitlyn.
She was lacing up her boots, headphones on, her head nodding slightly to the beat of the music she was listening to, ignoring the world around her. With a smirk appearing on his face Dean put one foot forward before stopping in his tracks.
Dolph Ziggler had gone over to her, tapping her on the shoulder causing her to jump in surprise but then burst out laughing when she saw who it was, swatting his arm for scaring her. Taking a breath Dean scowled as he stepped back, leaning against the wall, arms crossed across his chest.
There she goes again, giving him that smile she gave him on Raw this past Monday. He probably told her some lame pick-up line he's probably tweeted a dozen times. If Dean could roll his eyes constantly at this guy, he would turn into the new Undertaker.
'How could she just let him be all over her like that? Does she not know any self respect?'
Dean's thoughts were broke when he felt the presence of another person beside him, looking slightly to his right his suspicions were confirmed when he saw the Divas champion AJ Lee and her bodyguard, Big E Langston standing beside him.
AJ had a sneer on her face as she looked over at her former best friend and ex-boyfriend. "Ugh, they deserve each other.", she spat in disgust.
Dean's jaw tensed at her sentence. Nobody deserved Kaitlyn, not Dolph Ziggler, not anyone. Nobody was good enough.
Nobody but him.
"He doesn't deserve her."
AJ let let out a 'hmph' before looking at the United States champion, her head tilted to the side as she observed him. "You're jealous, aren't you?", she smirked.
Dean's gaze on the two people infront of him turned to the short diva, exhaling deeply before he replied to her. "Don't you have someone else to bother or some shit? You're annoying me."
AJ laughed at his response, looking at Big E who looked unimpressed, not laughing along with the smaller woman. "Yeah, I do. I should probably go polish my baby before
I show it off to the world.", she patted the butterfly belt as she lifted it to her face, kissing it. A faraway smile appeared on her face before she looked at Dean again, grinning at him before skipping away, her bodyguard following behind her.
'That girl needs to get laid, big time.'
Dean really thought AJ did need to get laid, because he always sees her hugging and kissing that stupid title. Turning his attention back to what he was originally doing he noticed that Kaitlyn was now alone, Ziggler must have left her when he was watching AJ and Big E walk away.
Hearing that it was almost time for the pre-show to start by a worker passing by he decided to head up to meet Seth and Roman.

"That was amazing!", Kaitlyn grinned as her and Dolph made it back behind the curtain. They had won their tag team match against AJ Lee and Big E Langston, it was a closure match, if you could call it that. One to end all the drama and frustration what went on between them.
"Totally! That spear was epic!", Dolph replied, his voice tremulous with excitement as he flashed his dazzling smile at Kaitlyn.
"I just..", she shrugged breaking out into laughter. "Awesome.", she nodded finally settling on a word.
"Calm down, Miz.", Dolph smirked bumping his hip with hers before pulling the two toned diva into a hug.
As Kaitlyn hugged Dolph she noticed him, leaning against the wall with a smirk on his face, his eyes boring into hers. Pulling away, Dolph's smile never faltered as he looked at her.
"I'm going to go shower and stuff, catch you later? Maybe we can go out for food or something?", he asked hopefully.
"Sure, that'll be nice.", Kaitlyn nodded with a smile.
Dolph said nothing more but placed his hand on her arm with a smile and nodded before walking off, leaving Kaitlyn standing there, the smile what she had only moments ago disappearing. She didn't say anything, waiting for him to say something first, as he was always the first to speak between the two of them.
"Well aren't you two cute.", he spoke, the snide tone evident in his voice.
"Someone sounds jealous.", Kaitlyn scoffed causing him to frown, moving himself off of the wall as he slowly made his way towards her.
The girl he hadn't seen for a whole month when she left him.
"What do you want, Dean?", she asked. Saying his name after a month left a bad taste in Kaitlyn's mouth.
"You didn't call."
Kaitlyn just stared at him blankly.
"Or text.", he added.
She continued her blank stare, adding a shrug. "Sorry, was I suppose to? I thought I told you it was over that day I walked out of your hotel room.", Kaitlyn replied in a matter-of-factly voice. Dean's jaw tensed at her words, his hand clenching into a fist at his side as he took a deep breath.
"You didn't mean it.", he denied.
"Oh, I meant it Dean. I meant every word, it's over. I don't want nothing to do with you anymore.", she shook her head.
His head tilted slightly to the right as he stared at her.
"You're only doing this because of Ziggler, aren't you?", Kaitlyn asked with a smirk, it widening when noticed Dean's facial expression falter slightly. "Wow.", she laughed. "Do you know how stupid you sound?"
"Stupid? No. I just don't like it when people put their hands on what's mine."
"I'm not yours!", she snapped. Realising she had a sudden outburst in a corridor where people could be watching, Kaitlyn composed herself. Then her face fell, realising what she had also done. Looking slowly up at Dean she noticed his facial expression had changed.
It had darkened.
Grabbing her shirt Dean pushed Kaitlyn up against the wall forcefully, his breathing quickening, as did hers as she stared up at him with a panicked expression. Letting go of her shirt he placed his hands either side of her head, trapping her.
"Don't you ever dare raise your voice to me.", he said lowly. "Do you understand me?"
Kaitlyn nodded in response, not breaking eye contact.
Dean took another breath, which seemed to calm him down to a better state. "Kaity, my beautiful Kaity.", he spoke softly as he tucked her hair behind her ear, a small smile tugging on his lips. "You were always mine, you just didn't know it. I'm warning you, stay away from Dolph Ziggler."
Shaking her head at him, Kaitlyn disagreed. Upon seeing this Dean let out an audible sigh, looking down briefly before looking back up at her.
"You can't control what I do, and who I'm with.", Kaitlyn spoke, her voice slightly shaky.
"Like hell I will."
"You can't."
"Watch me.", Dean sneered.
Kaitlyn looked at the man infront of her in disbelief, not believing what he was saying. He wasn't like this, Dean was not ever like this.
"What happened to you?", she asked, her voice just above a whisper.
Dean's brows furrowed at her question.
"Where is my Dean?", Kaitlyn asked again.
Her 'Dean'. The 'Dean' she had grown to love, the one what cared. The one what promised he wouldn't hurt her.
Dean didn't respond, only stared at her with the same expression. "If you go near him again, you won't like what I'll do.", he spoke before removing his arms off of the wall, stepping back before walking away.
With a dull ache in her shoulder, Kaitlyn watched as he walked away from her.
