Hazel

I ran up the hall of the ship, calling Leo's name. He never answered! I checked the machine room. Nope. Kitchen. Nope. I even checked the bathroom. Nope! Finally, I reached the long corridor where all of our bedrooms were.

"Leo!" I cried frantically. I skidded to a stop right outside of his bedroom. Bursting through the door, I called,

"Leo! We have to go! There's a hydra on the top deck! We need your help with burning the heads!" Leo stood there, sort of half awake, half asleep.

"What? Waz wrong?" He asked groggily. I frowned.

"Hydra? Top Deck? Fire?" I asked him angrily.

He cocked his head, confused. An idea dawned on me.

"Flashback?" I asked quietly. He nodded.

"Again? Leo, that's the 4th time this month!" I cried.

"Sorry! You of all people here should know that you can't control them!" He yelled, obviously frustrated. He put his head in his hands and sat on the bed. I sat next to him.

"Leo, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you upset." I said. He shrugged.

"I just feel kind of helpless. I mean, I can't get rid of these!l" I nodded.

"How about we get rid of the hydra, than talk?" I proposed. He looked up.

"Ok." He said. I put out a hand. Leo pulled himself up, and lit his hands.

" Let's kill someone hydra!" He called, running up the stairs. I smiled, and ran after him.

"I got this!" I heard Jason cry. Than I heard a guttural cry, probably from the hydra.

" I don't got this!" Jason yelled right after. By than, I was at the top of stairs. The Hydra was huge! It had 14 heads so far, and had purple scales, and teeth the size of my arm.

"Where was he?" Annabeth asked, running up to me.

"Leo? In the main engine room." I lied. Annabeth frowned suspiciously.

"Why couldn't he hear us?" She asked.

" Machines were too loud." I lied again. Annabeth nodded slowly, than ran back to Piper at the rigging. I surveyed the battle. Annabeth and Piper were holding the rigging still, while Leo climbed up carefully, probably to burn the heads in a surprise attack. Coach Hedge, Frank, Percy, and Jason were distracting the hydra on the ground while Reyna, Calypso,(Leo's girlfriend) and Nico steered the ship to keep it on track. I ran over to Reyna.

"What should I do?" I asked her. Her dark braid whipped around as she faced me.

"You and Nico should get the Greek fire out from below the mast. Than, wait by the rigging just in case Leo can't get the Hydras head quick enough." She said. I nodded, and Nico and I rushed to go get the Greek Fire. He lifted the loose board, and I grabbed 7 of the 30 jars.

"What's wrong?" Nico asked me as I handed him 3 of the jars. I shrugged.

"Nothing. Just trying to get rid of this hydra." I told him. He raised an eyebrow.

"What?" I asked him, annoyed. He frowned.

"You aren't telling the truth." Nico said. I sighed.

"Later, okay? Not now!" I cried, as I rushed to my position. Percy was soaking the Hydras heads with tidal waves summoned from the ocean below, but it was getting angrier than needed. 6 of its heads roared, and spit at Percy.

"No!" Annabeth cried as she rushed to Percy. My mouth hung open in shock. Hydra spit can be deadly! And he was hit by 6 heads!

"Mcsizzle in da house!" Leo called as he jumped into the air and burst into flames. Pelting fireball after fire ball at the hydra, he yelled, and hooted at the angry monster. Frank flew up in his eagle form, and turned into a dragon! He soared above us all and blew flames and smoke at the hydra. Jason summoned a bolt of lightning, and hit the hydra down the middle, severing 7 heads. I rushed to Annabeth.

"Is he okay?" I asked. Annabeth sighed through tears.

"I don't know, Hazel." She sobbed. Nico rushed over to us.

"Not dead yet, Annabeth." He soothed. Wait, soothed?

My brother, Summoner of Spirits, Ghosts, and Evil Death Spirits soothing? Now I knew something wasn't right.

"Help!" Jason yelped as he soared past the hydras remaining 5 heads. Coach Hedge slammed his club on the hydras toe. The monster growled, and lunged at Coach, who jumped out of the way just in time! Leo, riding on Frank the Dragon, jumped up behind the Hydra, and shot flame after flame at its head.

"Frank! Look out!" I cried. The monster turned and shrieked, before Frank turned into a human in mid air, and plunged down onto the hard deck.

"Frank!" I screamed running to him. Frank opened his eyes.

"I'm okay, Hazel." He said. I let out a sigh of relief. Leo dropped to the floor, panting.

"It left." Leo noted. I nodded.

"That's odd behavior, even for a Hydra. A venomous spit with 6 heads?! That's irregular." I stared at the spot where the Hydra had been. The dust from the 12 heads cut off was disappearing already, going to Tartarus.

"I'm guessing the reason hydra left wasn't because Mr. McSizzle scared it so much." Leo joked.
