Climbing Up
Location: Paris, France
Jazara's POV
As I left the stage, I couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching me. But who? I'm pretty sure no one knew I was there. As I approached Sally standing near my dressing room door, I decided that I was just a bit nervous the entire time because this was a whole new experience.
Sally smiled, "How did it go?"
I smiled, "Pretty good, actually."
"You should try it sometime." I said as I walked inside my dressing room and playfully hit her shoulder.
"No. That is NOT for me. I'd rather work behind the scenes." she said as she handed me my clothes.
Yeah, I work a lot of behind the scenes too I thought as I peeled off my final costume.
There was only the sound of hangers screeching on the rack as Sally hung up the clothes and as I wiped the makeup off my face. I desperately looked around my room for anything that could help me find it. I knew I was running out of time.
"What are you looking for?" Sally asked, her voice breaking the silence.
"Oh, um nothing. Just trying to take in all the details." I smiled weakly at her, "It might be a bit of time before I'm in another room like this."
She chuckled, "Yeah, that is exactly what everyone says. Some say it is the best room in the house."
"That sure is right." I softly said while putting on my black shoes. I looked around and still couldn't find anything that looked out of the ordinary. I glanced up at Sally as she fluttered around the room cleaning up, and then it dawned on me. She would know a lot more about the ins and outs of this place than I would.
"Do you always work in this room?" I asked.
She stopped her activities and turned to look at me, "Yeah, usually. Why?"
"Oh, no reason really. Have you ever noticed something interesting in here, or out of the ordinary?" I tried to ask nonchalantly.
"Nope" she said as she turned back to what she was doing. Then she stopped, "Well, one thing that was weird was that a few weeks ago they started putting in a bunch of carts covered in black sheets. I guess they ran out of storage temporarily, but when I asked them to take them out, because of course they were getting in the way during the show, they said they couldn't. When I asked them what was on them and why they couldn't put them somewhere else, they shut up and told me to not look at them, that it was none of my business, and that they would be out soon enough. I never got a chance to look at them because I was soooo busy, working with models and doing all the others things. After I complained a few more times, they removed them. Thank god, they were getting really annoying."
I sat up, turned to look at her full on, and took a breath before asking, "And do you happen to know where those carts are?"
"Last time I checked, some were put in the hallway just outside. I don't know what happened to the others." she said as she turned back to the rack.
There could be something on the carts, there could not be I thought as I stood up.
"Is there a particular way I have to exit?" I asked Sally.
She turned back to face me, "Nope, just go out the same way you got in. You remember the way, right?"
"Yes" I replied, "thank you."
"No problem." she said as I embraced her.
"Goodbye." I said as I waved to her heading towards the door.
"Aye, if your ever back in Paris, let me know. Perhaps we could hang out sometime." she smiled hopefully. At that point I realized that she was often forgotten about after the show was over. Just another face, another maid, another helper, all for the models.
I smiled back, "Sure, Sally. I won't forget about you. I hope I'll see you soon. If not, adieu for now."
She smiled back, "Adieu."
I left the room and looked around as I closed the door behind me. I walked down the quiet hall towards the stage looking for any carts. As I turned back to make sure no one was watching I backed into something and quickly swiveled around, ready to face whatever it was. It was just a cart. How did I not notice this before I thought to myself as I peeked under the black cover. As I turned to walk away, something glinted out of the opposite corner. I stooped down to pick it up and smiled, it was exactly PART of what I was looking for. I slid it into the front pocket of my black pants and continued walking towards the stage with a smirk on my face. That was too unbelievably easy.
I looked around the stage once more before stepping down to the audience level. It was almost too quiet, which gave me a pretty uneasy feeling. I navigated the numerous rows of foldable white chairs while counting the drapes. 1... 2... 3........ 10.... 13.... I stopped and looked up at the breathtaking ceiling, which reminded again that this place never ceased to amaze me. As I looked around one last time to make sure no one would see me, I took a deep breath, unwound the drape from the pillar and began to climb the velvety cloth.
I climbed as quickly and quietly as I could towards the one intricate square that would lead me to the roof, making sure to change my position as often as I could to prevent my face from being seen.

Michael's POV
At the end of the show, the guards found me and tried to kick me out. Of course, I couldn't let them, especially since I hadn't found her yet. They were way too easy to take care of, knocking 'em out for a good amount of time in less than a minute. I mean, they didn't even put up a good fight. I figured they were the type that went to academy, got their degreed and shit, and then didn't train another day in their lives after that.
"Sleep tight, fat asses." I sneered as I left them behind the garbage can. I wanted to make sure they would smell like, and feel like shit when they woke up.
I walked back to the show area and just as I was about to station myself in the shadows again, I heard someone take a deep breath. I stalked towards the sound, taking note to keep myself out of sight. As I walked behind another pillar, I saw a drape that looked out of place, especially with a girl climbing up it. I smirked, that's her alright, and I guess she found something. I tried to get a good look at her face while moving silently behind the pillars, but she kept moving around. It was almost as if she knew someone was watching her, but I knew that was pretty impossible. No one knew we were here. Oblivious little bitches.
"Cal" I whispered into my black leather jacket, "She's heading your way. I can't get a good look a her, but get ready. We can't let her get out of here with it."
All I got was silence in response, but I knew he heard. I turned on my heels and began walking back towards the exit.
"Goodbye fuckers." I said as I passed the guards and walked out the door into the bright sunrise.
