Can someone please explain to me why people on tv can jump out of speeding trains, roll around down a hill for five minutes straight, then get back up with a few splotches of dirt on their clothes and their hair a little messed up?

Or that people in black leather clothing can walk away all cooly with an explosion literally five feet away from them? Like, do shockwaves not exist anymore?
