People who hate classical music and a rant about most music in general
Before I begin, I am using the word "you" as if I am speaking to someone in particular that has the characteristics that I explain throughout this rant. I'm not litterally speaking to you, so don't yell at me in the comments about that okay? Okay :)
So is it like a thing today that all music is about that guy breaking up with a girl and wanting her back, and rap that just says the same exact word over and over again or using a particular word on every freaking sentence?
Or wanting to do that girl or guy because they're "hot" and describing what it was like in every detail even though they have no idea who they are and then never speak to them again.
And then that's the "right" music to listen to, and if you listen to classical then you're a "nerd" or "geek" or "loser" or whatever stupid insult you'd like to use.
"Classical is soooo boring."
"There's no lyrics! How could you listen to that?"
"You can't dance to it so it's stupid."
"How can you even search it with that ridiculously long European named dude!?"
Spoiler Alert: Classical is called "Classical" for a reason!
Or do you not remember the meaning of the word "classic"? No? How about "original"? Still not clicking? It should have by now.
And also just a really good instrumental song in general; just because it has no meaningless lyrics and an almost all drums tune with drunk robot mating calls it's stupid music!? And then that special insult people have for it: "gay"
Technically, you are stating that it is "over joyous" or just really really "happy", which is not always the case. So, your argument is invalid.
But I'm assuming - since the definition has changed, that you mean it's "homosexual", which really makes no sense. First off, is a song a living breathing being? No. So that argument is invalid as well.
But agh!! The way you use that word like it's a terrible thing...I'll get to a rant like that later.
Now I'm not saying that Classical is the "right" type of music to listen to, music is all about the listener's opinion about it. This is just my opinion of what I think of most modern music.
And about 2 months-ish ago, I saw a YouTube video of a dude messing around with guys on xbox live pretending to have the saddest life on earth, and he plays a sad piano song in the backround for affect and gets the whole party laughing (he laughs as well...c'mon he was effing hilarious) and one of them asks "How did you get that music in the backround" And hew replies "I am playing the piano right now-"
And then this sad excuse of a life form cuts him off and says "Of course you're playing the paino! Only f*gs play the piano!"
Everyone laughs.
And you are probably expecting that it was some 5 year old squeaker... Nope. It was a target audience-aged player (The game was COD Ghosts) and so was everyone else.
Of course I was mad, but then I noticed litterally every single one of the students at my school so far (the ones I run in to daily) that listen to their music with with the speakers on and it's always something about
For guys: "Yo I have money and guns and I'm gonna kill you and where's my **female dog** again?"
For girls: "Yo I was in the strip club gettin-- **I think you get it**
And ugh...is this really what most music is about these days? It makes me sick.
It's always
Intro
a verse
a chorus
a repeat of the first verse
the same exact words for the chorus
a bridge that just has a different tune with lyrics that don't ryhme as often
and the a repeat of everything else and then an end.
I am glad that there are songs out there with a similar pattern but the lyrics have a meaning, it's poetry. I'm a little jealous of my parents, getting to be young in an age where there was music like that everywhere (and the amazing 90's teen shows that my big sis used to watch and now they no longer show ;-;).
Okay, I've gone completely off topic, back to classical music.
"Only f*gs play the piano!"
Oh okay, well I can assure you that I am straight, and that a lot of other piano players are too. Surly not all of them, but either way, your argument is invalid.
So go listen to your "loud noise" (a quote on what parents call music in the movies you know?) and eff off forever :)
I've run out of things to say, I may or may not edit this later. But I couldn't take it anymore; what motivated me to write this and what reminded me that I had a rant book was from being on in the track today at school and hearing the dudes listen to a stupid freaking rap song (I'm not saying that all rap is bad though, I actually really like rap but not this style which is sadly growing ;-;) and saying "Dude thas' a tight song. Gud music man." or whatever they were saying, but I know that they were complimenting it like it was something worth anything like that.
=_=
