This chapter may be more of a rant about AN's. I have my reasons.

First of all, you don't have to write one in each chapter. I saw many peeps who wrote just small talk. It felt as if they think AN's are needed.
If anything it is better to keep the number of An's as small as possible. But if you have too, please for the love of Wattpad, don't put them in the middle of texts. Wait for the end or beginning of a chapter. Don't interrupt text.

Secondly, if an AN is longer than the actual chapter, maybe it would be better to make a book only for AN's. Readers who care will check it out.

Thirdly, please avoid having whole chapters that are just AN's. Especially multiple ones, close to each other or even back to back.

You have a book, 20 chapters, 5 of these are AN's, these are too many.

I try to avoid AN's. Not only do I have info books on my main writing account, but I write forewords. The first chapter is a mixture of a welcome letter for readers but also an Author's note.  I inform the readers about book specific things, like upload schedule, changes to canon they should know, etc.

I also don't write stuff like "leave a comment and a vote :)" or talk about private stuff.

To be fair, I write everything before posting the first chapter, so I don't need to explain why chapters won't come. I don't write as I go.
