Let me just get this straight. I. Hate. Love. Triangles. (Unless it's Mr. Collins/Elizabeth Bennet/The Bennett's Potatoes. That is the best love triangle ever) This is probably just my preferences, as there seem to be a lot of love triangle books, tv shows, and movies (I'm staring at you, Fuller House), and a lot of them are well done. Just because I hate love triangle, doesn't mean that I will hate the book. But we need to get a few boundaries straight.

• If every time you MC is with one boy she thinks of the other and vise versa, she has a problem.

• MC: "Oh I'm so sad! I can't choose between the two cutest members of One Direction!" (I don't know Jack about the band, so sorry not sorry)

Me: "I can't even get a boy to talk to me that isn't "dating" my bff! There are bigger problems to worry about in 99.9% of your free time than two members of a *cringe* modern band.

• Two boys fighting over the girl.

Now there are a few types of triangles that I really like... I guess not "really like," I just like it better than the other options.

• MC starts dating one and then meets the other who they don't like but it evolves into a like and the original one that the MC was dating starts treating the MC like trash. (I'm a Greenhouse Academy fan, and it's sort of like this)

• The love triangle isn't the main plot. For goodness sakes people, if the love triangle is the only thing you book focuses on (like 0 other plot points), then I most likely will avoid it at all costs.

• The reasoning behind the triangle makes sense. Let's say that a girl is forced to marry someone, but they and the person that they are getting married to love other people. Okay, that's more of a square, but you get the point.

Guys if there is no real reason to have a love triangle, please save me the trouble. I know a lot of people love this stuff, but there seems to be too much o it from my perspective. If you have a love triangle book, just know that these are my personal thoughts, and they shouldn't (always) be taken to heart.
