You always loved words

I remember the way you would look through the dictionary

In search of new ones that you had never heard before

And how you would find ways to use those new words in your everyday vocabulary

I always loved everything you did

Although sometimes it hurt to do so

I remember feeling small

Because I didn't know those big words that you would use as if you knew exactly what they meant

On the other hand I loved you for it

I can't explain all the feelings you gave me

With you it was a roller-coaster of emotions

Honestly I miss it

Feeling so much at one time

It makes you feel alive

And for a long time I've felt numb

Now truthfully I'm scared

Scared to love again

Or maybe scared not to
