Every night before I lay my head down I wished for you

If only you knew how I pined for you

Before I saw you my life was dull and gray

Then I looked up to see you shining bright in the sky

After I saw you I couldn't look away

And I knew I'd never be the same

Now you are gone ...

The light that shone so bright dissolved into nothing

But a dark hole devoid of any luster at all

I know I could just look up and find another star to wish on

But in sky full of stars I only wish for you
