idk why I'm ranting. just enjoy the story

Me and Ace go to dunkin' donut. His treat. I get special breakfast tacos, sandwiches, and burgers. While Ace gets a meat burger and two jelly donuts, along with some munchkins. I eat the food and guzzle water because crying takes up a lot of energy and hydration. Especially meltdowns. Which is why I try not to cry too often.

"You're going to get fat if you eat like that." Says Ace eyeing my food. I glared at him.

"You should never comment about a girl's weight. This is less than what I usually order, I don't want to be in big debt for using your money. Besides, you're the one to talk to. Look at how much food you got." I point my drink at his food with a raised eyebrow.

"I don't mind the money. Besides, I'm the guy. I eat more." He says and takes a bite of his burger. I raise my other eyebrow now.

"Did you just say that because you're a guy you eat more than me? Are you being sexist right now?" I say in mock anger and annoyance. It comes out sounding tired and bored, and I drink more water. I'm glad I don't wear makeup or I would look like a monster with mascara.

"Nah, it's just cause you girls don't wanna be so fat." He smirks. I threw a napkin at him.

"So you are being sexist." I say and offer a bite of my half eaten burger. He hesitates and then takes a big bite. He wipes his mouth with the back of his hand and offers a jelly donut. I take it the peace treaty is on.

As I take a bite of the jelly donut. He takes my phone out of his pocket.

"Here" He hands me the phone and I snatch it out of his hand.

"My beloved has returned safe and sound!" Re-enacting a scene from a movie. He just looks at me like, Really? Then I realized. "Shoot I'm supposed to ignore you!" I panic. Are they gonna hurt Leah? Marcus? Oliver!?

"I didn't tell them anything and I can act like nothing happened." Ace says quickly. I nod and try to calm my breathing.

"Okay let's do that" I say finally. He nods and leaves. I stay for another 30 minutes to think about what just happened. Then get up and leave. The rest of the weekend goes by so fast that Monday hits me worse than usual.
