i am not accepted anywhere.
korea was the place i first remember living in, even though my mother says i was born in the united states. somewhere in a place called "orange county". but we left shortly after i was born and never returned.
we moved to a place that was familiar to my father--since half his family on his mother's side was korean, from daegu. just a two and a hald hour drive south east of the country's capital--seoul.
in korea, i only had one friend.
my neighbor, taehyung.
i didn't count my cousins or family because they had to like me, or at least tolerate me. we were related.
the other children in the neighborhood never liked me because i wasn't korean enough.
i didn't quite look like them.
for nine years i lived in korea with my parents.

im posting three updates today because i wrote a longer chapter, but then i decided it was way too long for this book and cut it into three parts. i might post one in another few minutes. and the other soon after. or idk if i should wait an hour before each update.
what do you all think?
i hope you're liking the story so far.
i know it sounds rather depressing, but that's what its supposed to be. thank you all for reading and i hope you have a wonderful week.
