the next night i had already i decided what i would do. i cooked dinner for us and tried to take care of him as best i could. i wanted to thank him for being there for me when i most needed someone--in my many moments of self-loathing and loneliness.

i had called my mother in cayey and told her i was ready to return to her.

she was beaming with happiness. it had been a while since she'd seen me and she wanted me to meet her new boyfriend.

through dinner, tae ranted about how the media wasn't helping with jin's situation. they were spreading rumors about soojin supposedly secretly seeing namjoon and yoongi behind her boyfriend's back. but he knew his group mates would never do that to jin.

so our main character is going to leave to puerto rico with her mother, convinced by everyone that she's hurting tae by staying with him. and in her own bad self esteem, she believed them no matter how many times he has reassured her.

this sucks for tae and for her too. letting the bad guys win.
