my mother worried on her visits that it barely even looked like i was pregnant. the doctors told her i had made good progress, but she still worried.

taehyung fell to his knees by my side while i was watching reruns on television of old mexican soaps that were popular in the nineteen nineties. taehyung immediately broke out into tears at the sight of me. "jagi, why didn't you tell me anything?"

i took his hand in mine and offered him a sad smile. "i thought that my presence was hurting you. i wanted to stop making you suffer."

"no." he shook his head, bringing my hand to his lips. "you're my only happiness."

"and you're my only reason for living." i replied.
