Edith

Waking up to the enchanted forest from a small hut nestled amongst tall trees with leaves of fall and views of all you could dream of is everything. From the sun rising as the moon falls, to the soft breeze of wind hitting your skin, it's all beautiful and a part of Arendelle. Travelling back to the village and castle of Arendelle is always great unless there's a family announcement which is exactly what this trip was for to her misfortune. the only good thing was being able to see her cousin, more her sister Edith would say to people as that's how Adaline and Edith feel about their bond. 

Her parents had already been at the castle since yesterday Edith being stubborn as ever chose to stay in the forest for an extra night with the Northuldra tribe, normally she'd travel with everyone but this time her gut was telling her it would be the last time she'd have my feet within the moist dirt of the forest for a while. Edith was hoping it would be wrong. Walking down to the rivers whistling summoning the water spirit she nicknamed her Storm since it felt rude just calling her a spirit Gale has a name too so why not name the rest of them? As Storm emerged from the water and galloped over to Edith aligning their foreheads together making her water form change to a more snowy appearance as she became more solid.

"You ready?" Edith breathed out to her as she nodded to me, kneeling her down towards me as she walked to her side gently putting her left leg over first balancing herself as she rose back up. Riding on a storm as she traveled over the water was another beautiful feeling of their homeland that she enjoyed the history, spirits, people, land animals, and all that comes with it knitting their land together as one and forging it today known to be as Arendelle. Edith knew there's more to Arendelle than what has already been discovered but time will only tell as chapters of her life expand more as she grows. 

Realising she'd dazed off, we had already arrived at the dorks at the Ford of the Kingdom, getting off gently from Storm was thanked as she let go and changed her form adapting to go back underwater once more. Edith saw people of the village wave to me, and share their smiles of welcoming as Edith returned it genuinely. Walking through the pathway of stone leading to the gates, the guards bowed their heads toward her, Edith entered the doors of the castle only to be tackled into a hug which was responded to instantly already knowing who it was she smiled. "You've been gone too long" Addie mumbled into her ear making Edith chuckle shaking her head in disbelief "It's only been just under a week max not even" the girl teased Adaline jokingly making her push her softly before Edith questioned, "what's the family meeting about?", Addie shrugged not knowing, she was just happy to see her sister after what felt like eternity. 

Walking up the stairs interlinking one another's arms as they walked down the hallways in silence entering the living room they mainly use for game and movie nights or just family fun, rarely announcements. Seeing her mum, aunt, uncle, ma, Olaf, and Sven standing awkwardly, Edith loosened her hand from Adaline's arm only to intertwine it with her hand instead as Adaline gave a reassuring squeeze. "Did you travel safe my love?" Her ma asked, "Yes, I did ma, why are we all here?" she spoke calmly, "Well Adaline, Edith my dears, you both-" Aunty Anna was cut off before she could finish her sentence as Olaf interrupted of excitement "are accepted into the school of Auradon prep, no more homeschool", seeing my aunt's glare upon him even if it was soft he muttered "sorry" which she sighed softly too, "Auradon? as in Ben?" Edith glared at them all as her tone turned bitter which made her uncle look at Sven and Olaf awkwardly as Addie squeezed her hand, while her aunt gave her a comforting smile, her parents stepped forward, "You'll be fine, we may not have gone but this is your chance to have a normal short of teenage years before taking over after us, I do not wish for you to be isolated, and if it doesn't work out even though Addie will be there you can always return home, besides I'm sure Ben's missed you." Edith did nothing but quickly accept the decision that was already made for her and Adaline nodded her head, making everyone smile gently due to how she accepted it better than they thought she would. 

After leaving the living room, Adaline smiled at Edith dragging her away from the rest of their family chuckling at them as they ran to do their own thing. "Even though you don't enjoy the idea of it I know it will make you feel better that we have an excuse to shop instead of doing it randomly, school supplies, and dorm supplies which we are sharing hopefully resulting in more and new bedroom decorations, heck we could get new outfits for our wardrobe" Adaline exclaimed excited finally making Edith smile thinking at this part will be the easiest and funniest. 

Going to a spare bedroom the girls set up to share for when Edith stays over, detailings of wall prints being mixed of urban colours, greens,  and blues mainly, as they did originally have two beds but ended up taking it out for more space to do as they please and share one instead. Their vanities of white, drawers, wardrobe, and closet melted in the room with darker wooden structures as hints of gold outlined the features. While their window seat was surrounded by bookshelves built within the walls perfectly tucked to its side the window was triangled just like her ma's bedroom as a kid. 

Both girls breathed it all in seeing their bed made as it was queen-sized and the canopy was covered by the drapes of the light-coloured brown curtains. One of the favorite parts of their bedroom was how it smelt like hot chocolate and snow. A perfect mixture of cold and warmth. 

Edith finally with a more brightened and positive attitude dragged Adaline to the bed pulling both of their laptops from the bedside tables beside them giving Addie her's as softly spoke "Let's shop" making Adaline giggle resulting in her chuckling as they opened their laptops sitting beside one another snuggled with each other's warmth. 

NOTES

so this was the first chapter, it's short which I apologise for I'm struggling with some breathing issues atm and am very tired, so don't be surprised about the mistakes it will be edited as said earlier in reminders of the first part of the book once it's complete. I have so much planned for Adaline and Edith with their relationship it's gonna be heartwarming but a bit of angst, there's gonna be some parallels of their mother so keep an eye out for those. The vks won't be introduced for a few chapters as I want to get the girls settled in and started at Auradon prep first and focus more on not only their bonds but bonds with other characters like Audrey and Ben. The next chapter is gonna be longer and out tomorrow hopefully also if you guys have any scene ideas or anything please let me know as I'd love to hear them. The word count of this chapter was 1101 words without the note section as far as I'm aware but I can't wait to take you guys on this journey of writing this story with me. I'm most likely gonna introduce more OCs later on possibly if I do I will add them to the cast section. And finally just letting you guys know with paragraphs I make some short, some medium, and some long as I said earlier I'm working on a layout so don't if I'm testing things that aren't normal.
