My Big Fat Thief Wedding

A lively, melodic tune could be heard throughout the entire kingdom of Nem as people gathered at the cathedral on the grassy, hill. Dressed in their finest clothes, people came from all over to witness this joyous event. From Nem itself, all the way to the Black Market tunnels.

Inside this cathedral, in a separate room off to the side of the main entrance, paced a young, red-head in a short, knee-length, white wedding dress with blue swirls on the bodice. "I can't believe this is actually happening, I'm actually going through this," Estelle said as she ran a hand through her long hair.

Dalilah let out a small chuckle as she watched her friend pace the bridal dressing room. "Ellie, calm down. You're marrying your best friend, and partner and crime. That's a dream come true if you ask me."

Estelle came to a stop in front of Dalilah and let out a sigh. "Yea, I know. It's just we have such a weird dynamic between the two of us. Would we even make a good pair?" She bites her lower lip. "Well, I guess we would, we have known each other since I was eight. Not to mention we've saved each other's asses countless of times."

Dalilah smiled and nodded her head. "See, your finding plenty of reasons as to why your perfect for each other. Your like each other's yin and yang, two sides of a coin, honey to a bee, chloroplasts to a plant—"

"Dai, I get your point."

She let out a giggle. "Sorry got carried away there. But what I'm trying say hun, is that if there would be the essence of a perfect couple, it would be you and Finn."

Estelle gave a small smile. "You really think so?

Dalilah nodded. "I know so."

Just before Estelle was about to speak up once more, a knock on the door was heard. "Estelle? You ready girl? I've managed to calm down Finnigan and prevent him from taking you out of the cathedral and eloping with you. So, I think we're about ready," Pip called out from the other side of the wooden door.

Estelle let out a chuckle, put on her veil, and grabbed her bouquet of red and black roses from the corner table. "Why am I not surprised?" She shook her head. "Yea, I'm ready Pip. Let's get this show on the road."

Estelle opened the door with Dalilah and Pip following right behind her. As soon as she stepped into the main hall, the tune the bards where playing went from their fast-paced joyful tune, to a much slower and elegant melody.

She let out the breath she was holding and smiled. Out in the isles were all of her friends from Nem, they've all come to see her on her big day. If only her parents were here to see this. She shook her head. This is not a time to be dwelling in the past. She thought. Pip walked to her side and offered his arm. "Ready?" he said with a grin.

Estelle smiled. "Ready as I'll ever be." She gripped the flowers in one hand and started her walk down the aisle and toward her future husband. With each step, she could feel her heartbeat increase and her face flush. I'll never admit this to his face, but Finnigan looks quite handsome in that tux of his.

Then, after what seemed like an eternity, she finally gets to the end of the isle and stops in front of her grinning fiancé. He smirks. "You look beautiful Estelle," he said.

She lets out a small laugh. "You don't look so bad yourself hot shot."

They hear the minister clear his throat and both thieves turn to him. "If we're ready," they nod. "Dearly beloved we are gathered here today to witness the marriage of two wonderful—" he paused and let out a chuckle. "And mischievous people. Estelle and Finnigan Clyde." He turns to Finnigan. "Do you Finnigan Clyde take Estelle to be your lovely wife, forever, in sickness and in health, for your forever partner in crime, till death do you part?"

He grinned and ran his hand through his hair. "Hell ya I do."

The minister turns to Estelle. "Estelle, do you take Finnigan to be your smart alek—"

Finnigan cuts him off. "Hey!"

The minister shakes his head. "As I was saying, husband, forever, in sickness and in health, for your forever partner in crime, till death do you part?"

Estelle smiles and nods "I d—"

I suddenly wake up in my bed with a gasp and run my hand through my red hair. "Holy shit. When the hell did I start having dreams about marrying that idiot!" I shake my head. "I need to stop drinking so much honeydew tea before bed. With a sigh, I then plop back into bed falling back asleep. "Me and Finnigan getting married. Feh, how preposterous," I murmur just before I fall asleep.
