One Year Later...

______ and Newt were spending a quiet night at home. After they got married a few months ago, Newt decided to move them out of their home in the city, and they finally finished getting settled in their new home: a cottage in a small village just a few minutes off the M-25. Newt thought it was a great place for fresh air, and a peaceful place to start their new life together.

As it got into the evening, ______ and Newt were sat in their backyard, Newt reading a book while ______ laid across his lap, looking up at the sky. Pink clouds filled the sky, and ______'s thoughts wandered around while Newt was focused on his book. After a while, _______ decided to speak up. "Look, darling," she started, grabbing Newt's attention. "The sunsets in this village are gorgeous."

Newt put down his book and smiled, looking up at the sky with her. "You're right," he stated, putting a hand on her head and running his hands through her hair. "It's quiet here, I like it. The city is too noisy."

"It's cozy out here..." ______ trailed off, sitting up. "Newt, there's something I need to tell you."

Newt looked at her quizzically, noting the change in mood. "What is it?"

"I..." she started, trailing off and gathering her nerves. "I'm late, a few weeks late, and I think I might be..." she trailed off again.

Newt's eyes widened and trailed downwards. Instinctively, he reached out and put a hand on her stomach. "You're serious?"

"Of course I am," she smiled at him, then her heartbeat quickened. "Do you think we're ready?"

Newt would be lying if he said he hadn't been hoping they'd eventually start a family. That was one of his other reasons for moving out to a place where he'd gladly raise children. The village was made mostly out of wizards as well, so there was no need to hide who they were out here. "We can't know for sure, but... I think you'd make an amazing mother."

______ smiled, moving over and hugging Newt tightly, both of them falling to the ground. They laughed, sitting up again. "I love you, Newt. You've changed my life."

Newt leaned over, kissing her and moving his hand to her stomach again. "You've changed mine for the better, ______. I love you, so, so much."

They leaned in again, kissing passionately. They wanted to stay in that moment forever, sitting in their garden underneath those pink clouds. When _______ was by Newt's side, he felt like he could face the world.
