6/9/17: I've been playing too much BotW
Okay, I apologize for not publishing this as soon as I woke up, but I was in a bit of a time crunch, and then I had homework and a three-and-a-half hour shift at the library, so I'm only just now finding the time to write this out.
Last night, I dreamt that I was back at my elementary school (which, for most Canadians, spans grades K-8, although some attend middle schools) in the grade six-seven hallway. My brother's friend brought his Nintendo Switch over to me, and asked me to beat a Guardian for him. I agreed to do so, and started playing. Link was dressed in the Champion's Tunic and Hylian Trousers, wielding the Master Sword and the Hylian Shield. The battlefield looked like a clear-cut version of the area just northwest of Tarrey Town. At first, I hid behind a deactivated Guardian, until the active Guardian's laser flipped the deactivated Guardian around, forcing me to run to another one. The same thing happened, and I charged the Guardian. (Probably not very smart, I know.) I didn't even manage to reach it, though, before it used an attack never seen in-game. It fired at me with large slabs of the strange black stuff that makes up the faceplates of the Blight Ganons. They stuck in the ground, but none of them hit Link. When they all had been fired, though, a section of the battlefield was sectioned off by two tendrils of Calamity. It also struck Link with two auto-hit tentacles of Calamity, causing him to ragdoll. (Have I ever mentioned that the ragdoll physics of BotW are hilarious? No? Well, they are) When I could look at the Guardian again, it looked very different. The bottom half was more or less the same, but the top half had taken the form of a giant squid, with tentacles of Calamity sprouting from it, and a storm of more Calamity whirling around above it. I don't remember much after that, only that I gave back the Switch to my bro's friend, telling him I beat the Guardian, and then a teacher told me I could go to my class now.
If this dream means anything, it's my subconscious telling me that I spend way too much time playing BotW. (It was worth it though, I managed to get almost 40 Yellow Lizalfos tails in one day for the Fairy Fountain)
