As the huge mahogany doors opened Reyna, Thalia, and the first years gaped at what they saw. There were 4 incredibly long tables for all the students. Each house had a table of it's own where the members of that house sat. They probably each had their own dormitories as well. In the front of the great hall, which actually wasn't very great at all compared to Olympus especially after Annabeth started redesigning it, there was a long table where all the teachers sat. But the most amazing thing had to be the floating candles or maybe the ceiling that looked like it was just sky. Reyna and Thalia focused on the Headmaster who was for some reason holding a ratty old hat that was so hideous Aphrodite would probably faint if she saw it. When they arrived at the steps to where McGonagall awaited them she placed the hat on a little stool and took out a scroll.

I'm skipping the sorting hat song because I suck at writing songs or poetry or basically anything. Pretend he sung something along the lines of the song in the video.
"Who uses scrolls anymore?" Thalia quietly whispered to Reyna.
"Apparently she does now shut up and listen."
"When I call out your names come forth and place the sorting hat on your head. Thompson, Matthew."
"Hufflepuff!"
"Khan, Addison"
"Ravenclaw!"
"Duncan, Carter" (stupid Duncan's👹I swear every time I hear Duncan I feel like punching something until my hands are bloody raw.)
"Slytherin!" (The only place a Duncan belongs. I despise all Duncan's.)
"Boshears-Hazen, Danielle"
"Ravenclaw!"
"Boshears-Hazen, Chloe"
"Hufflepuff!"
"Combs/Duncan, Madison" (I forgot to mention I am biologically a Duncan much to my disliking. If you're reading this Donnie I hate you more than anything else in the world.👹😬😤😠😡😣🙅👺😾🐺💀)
"Slytherin!"
"Grace, Thalia"
Thalia approached the hat, sat on the weird little stool, and placed the hat on her head.
"Well, well a demigod. I haven't seen one of you in a while. Let's take a look through your memories shall we."
"What! No!"
Thalia quickly tried to block off her memories but it was to late. All her worst memories flooded through her mind invading her thoughts. She saw Luke, Zoe, and all her dead friends. She saw turning into a tree, watched day after day as Luke came and visited her crying, vowing he would get revenge. "Oh my. You have been through a lot. Perhaps even more than Potter. You're loyal, smart, cunning, and brave but where to put you? I know. Gryffindor!!!"
Thalia quickly snatched the hat off her head and walked over to the red table, wiping away tears that she hadn't realized had been running down her face.
"Arellano-Ramirez-Avila, Reyna"
Reyna approached the hat warily and placed it on her head scared of what was going to happen. It had to be bad if it had made Thalia cry.
"Another demigod huh. Interesting. Well, I'm tired so let's get this over with shall we?"
Reyna gasped as all the memories she kept locked away came rushing rough her. She saw her father beating her and her sister. She saw escaping from Circe's island. She saw all her past heartbreaks. She felt like crying but managed to get a hold of herself.
"Hm. You're quite similar to your friend. But your a bit more similar to a Slytherin."
"I want to be with my friend."
"In more ways than one eh. Very well I will put you with her but you'll have to work on the other way yourself. Gryffindor!!!"
Cheeks burning, Reyna headed over to the Gryffindor table and joined Thalia who looked at her questioningly. Reyna shrugged hoping that Thalia wouldn't ask her what had happened. After dinner the Gryffindors headed to the Gryffindor common room. After walking for what seemed like a century to the demigods they arrived at a picture of a very fat lady.
"Hades underpants"
Reyna smirked while Thalia doubled over laughing while the picture swung open to reveal a beautiful, homely, red and gold room that had three doors one of which had ημίθεο(demigod) printed on a gold plaque above it.
"Woah, what's with the new door?"
"It's for us."
Thalia and Reyna headed into their dormitories. When Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny tried to follow they found their was some forcefield stopping them from entering. Confused they all headed up to bed.
