When Zoya and Dave reached their Hotel, she realized she didn't have her phone with her so she used Dave's to call Sophia in case she left it at the Aroras but was disappointed to know that it wasn't there and that she might've left it in the doctor's office hence she asked Dave to ride her on his motor bike to beat the traffic that was in the city.
When she reached there she found the doctor looking at a screen that had a patient that was in critical condition according to the wires around him/her.

"Doesn't that violate hospital rules; you watching the patients. And I came to get my phone as I left it here" she showed it to the doctor after she had gotten it.

The doctor was startled because he didn't hear her come in.

"Oh! I had seen it and its good you've got it now and about breaking laws; we are not doing anything inappropriate especially when it comes to patients that are in critical conditions like her; your friend", he said pointing at the screen.

"That's the Preeta?" Zoya didn't look properly at the screen at first when she came in. She thought it was another patient.

She then saw someone seated on a chair near Preeta. His back was facing the camera so his face wasn't shown to them but the doctor knew who it was.

"Who is that person? I thought she wasn't allowed visitors?, you refused her family to see her awhile go".

"Your right but him and his brother pleaded so much that I felt sorry for them and had to allow him to see her, however I gave him a few minutes".

"Who is he?" Zoya asked defensively

"Her husband?"

"You've said husband"

"Yes, the one and only Karan Luthra, had no idea he was married".

"You did wrong, he's the reason she's in that situation"

"What would he have done?, he's a star and many young people look up to him. Am a fan" the doctor confessed but Zoya didn't look impressed.

"Let's leave him to see her after all, it's just for a few minutes and then I promise to never let him" the doctor continued to say.

Zoya watched on the screen as Karan stared at Preeta. With how miserable he looked and how his face showed guilt, she knew he was regretting hurting her. She watched as he moved to another side and moved his chair closer to Preeta's bed. He stood and kissed her head and sat down and then held her fingers in his. With how he had changed positions Soya could now clearly see his face as he was facing the cameras.

Karan had tears in his eyes, there was pain, guilty and love at the same time as he looked at the the woman he loves dearly attached to all those wires. His memories flashed back to two months ago before things got out of place

Flashback

They were at Sophia's apartment after, they had made love and were just relaxing. Preeta was seated in between Karan's legs, her back facing him as they talked.

"Can I stay with you baby for the rest of the nite?"

"Whatever you want", she told him

"And can I stay with you for the rest of my life?"

She turned looks at him end in his eyes and told him "always and forever".

"But your getting married to that clown and he's gonna touch you. I hate this break that engagement. I can't stand knowing that someone else is going to....." he said jealously.

"I can't break this marriage and secondly you should know that the only man allowed to touch me is right in front of me. I will never allow another man other than you to touch me. I will fake a sickness and then will file for a divorce in two weeks. I don't love Prithvi but this is for my mother. Or you come at my wedding and break it; that would be epic".

"Are you serious?"

"Yes, that way everyone will know about our love, I know people suspect us but I won't care if you did so because it will prove to them that we love each other".

Karan chock his head thinking about it.

"I love you"

"I love you too".

End of flashback

He did exactly that, he claimed her as his and even married her but then thinking about his dad's accident made him do his worst towards her. He did and said what he shouldn't have said. He didn't mean what he said when she told he told her how he didn't love her or that he hated her. Whatever was said that day was out of anger and his commitment to his family made him accept a marriage with Mahira. Had he known that Mahira, Sherlyn and Prithvi were the culprits he wouldn't have hurt her like he did.

Another Flashback

They were somewhere and there were seeing kids playing with their parents. But then there was a kid who wasn't with his parent; she fell and they both rashed to the said child. Helped her stand and played with her. There was a lady who was watching everything. She came to them and complimented them how good they looked and how good of parents they will be.
"Did you here that?" Karan had asked

"I did and I can't wait when the time came and we are parents; you will be the best dad ever".

"But your getting married to someone else"

"I know but know this; your are the man whose children I will carry".

They smiled at each other.

End of flashback.

Looking at her stomach and touching it only brought more tears, his child was already growing inside her. He felt guilt because of him Preeta and his child are in critical condition.

"Please forgive me. I've caused so much pain to both of you. I' m sorry for hurting you, am sorry for everything. Please forgive me. This isn't how I wanted things to go. Forgive me for being a coward. I ask you please to wake up. Please my love come back to me. If not for me do it for our child. Listen to me please. And I want you to know that I have never stopped loving you. It's always been you and always will be. I want to make everything right please babydoll wake up. I know there is apart of you that can hear me, please wake up", he cried out.

As he continued to pour his heart out; the machines started bleeping aggressively. Zoya who had watching everything had to call the doctor and at the same time Karan got scared and called the doctors and nurses. The doctor asked him to step outside as they tried to find out what has happened. Zoya too had entered the room at the request of the main doctor who had allowed her in. She went towards her friend and realized there were tears coming from her eyes and was surprised despite still in the coma state she was crying. The machines shown that her brain activities were back on even though they were still low. It gave the doctors hope. They injected some liquid medicine in that drip that was placed on her.

"This is a miracle, I didn't think her brain would show any activity. I guess her husband helped by talking to her. I rarely don't believe in such but I have seen a few cases where someone comes out of coma due to the voices they hear especially from loved ones".

"But she's still in a coma"

"True but we didn't think, there would be an improvement this soon".

The doctor and Zoya left Preeta's room and with what she has just found out; she can't wait to share the news with Shrishti and the rest.

Karan was still in shock at what had happened. Hearing those machines beep so fast scared him and also how the doctors rashed him outside showed that something terrible was happening to Preeta. He closed his eyes and prayed to God to save Preeta's life. He didn't want to lose her and the child. He waited patiently for the doctors to come out and tell him what's happening.

Zoya was the first to come out and Karan went straight to her but the look she gave him scared him hence he waited for the doctor that had let him in. And as soon as he came out Karan asked him.

"Mr. Luthra, there was a slight improvement however she's still in the coma"

"When will she come out of coma?"

"We don't know since it can be in days, weeks, months and sometimes years. So I think it depends on her".

"How about my child? "

"Their survival depends on their mother"

"Their?"

"Yes!! She's pregnant with twins".

Karan opened his mouth to say something but words weren't coming out because he couldn't believe it. He smiled but also had tears in his eyes.

"Twins?" He asked excitedly but then become sad knowing that their survival depends on Preeta's survival.

"Can I see her again?"

"Am sorry but we won't allow anyone in again until she's out of danger. Despite having a slight improvement she's still critical. I suggest you go back your ward".

Karan first sat down to process what he's just heard; he gonna have two beautiful angels. Preeta is pregnant with twins. This is the best news he's heard and his only prayer is that prayer makes it so she gives birth to their twins. Right now he doesn't cars about anything but preeta's health. A while ago he asked the doctor to inform him about anything he may need for Preeta's treatment even after being told that someone covered some expenses. He told the doctor that he will pay for the remaining expenses; he even went ahead to pay for the most expensive private room where Preeta will be placed after she leaves the ICU. He didn't care how long it took.
After settling his bill too and receiving some more medication, him and Rishabh left for Luthra house.

He was crying silently and when Rishabh realised it, he stopped the car. He knew his brother was going through a lot emotionally seeing the woman he loves in that condition hurts a lot. He's also hurting but for his brother, he gotta be strong.

"She's carrying twins. Preeta is carrying twins", he confessed emotionally

Rishabh was shocked with the news.

"Karan that's great news. You should be happy"

"Its true but what if they don't survive?, what if she doesn't survive. Rishabh the doctors think it's still early to have hope. Despite a slight improvement she's still in critical condition and that cares me. I don't want to lose her, I can't lose them. I don't know what I will do. I have done a lot of mistakes, I have hurt the people I know, I have destroyed but if God is to punish me for it then so be it but not at the expense of my children ans Preeta. More than anything I want them to survive. I don't care if she forgives me or not. All I want is to see her survive this. I love her so much ".

"You should pray and believe that Preeta and your children are going to survive this. Your children will be born".

"Your sure about that".

"A hundred percent".

The truth is that, Rishabh wasn't sure about what he was telling his brother, he was also scared for Preeta. He was only trying to make sure that Karan doesn't do anything stupid again like what he had tried to do before (suicide).

They drove home silently, having different thoughts going through their mind.

When they reached home; everyone asked hoe Karan was doing. He just greeted them and then left for his bedroom locking himself in. His mum of scared thinking he could try to do something bad to himself again but Rishabh assured her that he won't especially if he has important things to think of and hope that he gets his family back.

"He found out Preeta is having twins; so that's what is on his mind right now. So mom don't worry Karan is only thinking about Preeta and his un-born babies. Let's just pray for Preeta and the children".

The Luthras especially Rahki and Mahesh were shocked and surprised about the news. They decided to remain optimistic and hoped that Preeta survives and the their grandchildren.

When Karan went to his room; he lied on his bed and all he was thinking about was Preeta. He regrets how he treated her and he's constantly blaming himself. He only hopes that Preeta gets well soon so he's able to do what he should've done a long time ago.

On the other hand, Zoya called up Sophia and told her about what had happened. They agreed not to tell Shrishti about Karan but that there was a slight improvement. She was happy when she got the news. She wanted to go to the hospital but Zoya said Preeta isn't be allowed visitors but should wait a little more.

Everyday of the week for months now Karan never missed a day without bringing flowers for Preeta, to be with her, and take care of her. This wasn't perceived by Shrishti but Karan stuck around and even refused to leave Preeta's side. Zoya and Sophia told Shrishti to let Karan be until she finally gave up. However she refused to speak with him. As for Karan his relationship with Sophia was getting amended slowly by slowly as he and Zoya also got to know each other.

Despite improvement in Preeta's health, she was yet to wake up and some family members both from Aroras and Luthra started losing hope of her ever waking up from her coma but Karan didn't lose hope. He believed and promised himself to be by her side even though it takes years for her to wake up.

He retired from playing cricket just so he could take care of Preeta much to everyone's disappointment in him. For him Preeta become the most important asset in his life. He didn't care what everyone thought about his decisions. His friends tried to make him lose faith that Preeta won't wake up but he didn't care because all that mattered was Preeta.

He always tried to talk to her even though he knew she might not be listening but he hoped that she did, however today after talking he dozed off from his chair he was seated in , his head was resting on Preeta's bed. He felt fingers touch in his hair; at first he thought he was dreaming but then felt it was real, so he caught her fingures still touching his head. He got up shocked and saw that she was blinking her eyes and was trying to open them but was finding it difficult due to too much light, also because she has been sleeping for almost seven months.. But with so much excitement and happiness Karan called the doctors as Preeta was finally waking up.
