V - Grian
Grian was stuck in bed for three whole days, even with all the healing potions. The hermits came and went, talking to Grian a little nad leaving him gifts, hoping he would be better soon. He was bedridden at least until Xisuma sent out an announcement that everyone, including Grian, had to meet at spawn in an hour. Grian, though able to walk and fly using an elytra and fireworks, still needed assistance from Mumbo and Iskall. Xisuma was very cryptic about the whole thing, and Grian had no idea what was going on.
An hour after Xisuma sent out the announcement, all 20 some-odd hermits were gathered at spawn facing an unusual symbol made out of bedrock. Grian who had kept his head down, as he still was a little tired, only saw the symbol once Xisuma cleared his throat and started talking. "So, yesterday night, Wels died, and not having a bed setting his spawn, respawned here. He immediately saw this symbol and contacted me-"
But Grian quickly tuned him out. For, standing in front of him, was the watchers symbol, the same one stitched onto the watchers uniform stuffed in the back of his closet and the same one that would surround the portals in Evo. But there was no portal. No, instead there were nine custom player heads, such as the ones used by Grian for his headhunt back at the beginning of the season. Only these were the heads of his old friends from Evo. Grian let out a small gasp that only Mumbo, Iskall, and Doc heard, them being physically the closest to Grian.
Grian briefly tuned back into what Xisuma was saying, "We don't know who these nine players here are, nor do we know why Grian and I are singled out in the middle but-"
Grian tore his focus away from the heads of the Evolutionists and looked up to the middle of the symbol. There was his head, Xisuma's head, and, and Taurtis's head. Grian knew why he was up there, but Taurtis and Xisuma... "Are they-" Grian muttered to himself, pieces finally clicking together. Grian hoped that Xisuma was almost done and that Grian could talk to him after. Grian noted that Xisuma, too, was wearing a cape, though his was a solid green.
Finally, after what felt like forever, Xisuma ended the meeting and Grian jogged up to him as everyone left. "Hey, could I talk to you in private?" Grian asked.
