When Grian was made a watcher, saying his final goodbyes to his friends and family on the Minecraft Evolution server, he was given a pair of wings. Real feathered wings that could be concealed but not removed. For some time after this, Grian, also known as 'The Red Watcher' or simply 'Watcher 3', sat in the eternal void, watching and waiting. Finally, Grian was dropped into a brand new world soon to be the home of the Hermits of Hermitcraft Season Six, with nothing but a few words: "The time will come. Be patient." Grian was finally able to do something. In the eternal void, he was able to hone his survival skills, including his redstone, and practice his flight. But it wasn't the same as being in a real survival world, actually having to put his skills to the test. However, in a brand new world, he knew he would have to play down his skills, and conceal his wings in the form of an iron golem cape. He could not fly now, he would need to get an elytra.

And so the hermits from Hermitcraft Season Five came through the portal and joined Grian for the next season of Hermitcraft. And so it all began. Grian built his shipwreck in a bottle, started his futuristic base, and got his elytra. The memories of the watchers and his concealed wings started to fade, brought back briefly during his time in Alpha, and forgotten again. His redstone knowledge slowly integrated itself into his life, and Grian became a normal member of the Hermitcraft server. He played pranks, blew stuff up, just like in Evo, though he tried not to think of it. He thought it was unfortunate he had to leave to focus on Hermitcraft, and he did miss his family. But he moved on, though not without help from his fellow Architech, MumboJumbo. He loved being able to play Hermitcraft, blissfully unaware of the turmoil occurring, deep, deep, below the surface of the world, right into the game code itself. Until nearly two years after the season had started.
