The Truth Makes A Bunch Of Teens Feel Like Children

Harry POV

McGonagall had all the students gather in the Great Hall. None of the exchange students were to be seen, and I was actually kind of scared of what Percy might do.

We'd all seen him fight, we knew exactly what he could do.

And he could probably do more.

"It has come to my attention that some of you have been harassing the exchange students." McGonagall said when the school quieted down. "Percy and his friends are very offended by this and frankly, I am disappointed in you. They are guests in our school, just as the Durmstrang and Beauxbatons students were. Now, you are all lucky-"

"Was it Potter?"

McGonagall turned to look at Seamus. "Mr. Finnegan, please sit down."

"But was it him?"

McGonagall sighed. "Percy has chosen not to reveal names."

"Oh, it was him, alright." Hermione announced loudly.

"Hermione!" Ron snapped. "He's your friend!"

"Not with the way he's been acting lately." She responded tersely.

I frowned. What did she mean by that?

"So it was him?" Seamus had turned to Hermione.

She nodded, making it obvious enough for almost the whole hall to see.

People turned to glare at me.

"What? I was going off instinct, okay? They're strange, they're different. What if they're dangerous? What if-"

"You're darn right we're dangerous." Percy marched into the hall, wearing armor and looking absolutely terrifying. "Just not in the way you're thinking."

His companions filed in behind him, all of them dressed in a myriad of armor. Each person's had an individual touch, and their helmets were under their arms. Percy turned to Frank and nodded.

"Roman semidei, forma ordines!" Frank bellowed.

"SIC PRAETOR!" Half of the group shouted, dropping back into a formation behind him.

Annabeth turned to the others. "Ελλήνων ημίθεων, σταθεί στη γραμμή!"

She received various responses, Leo's being the loudest. "Το έχεις!"

Nico, Percy and Jason fell into a triangle formation, leading the other two groups. Frank's group marched in perfect unison, while Annabeth's just kept pace, without synchronization.

All in all, it was an impressive display. Weapons were visible as they moved and they all seemed as if they were ready to use them and certainly knew how.

When they reached the front, Percy turned around. He looked to Frank's group. "Singuli carri ducerentur!" Then he turned to Annabeth's group. "ενιαίο αρχείο!"

Each group saluted, the only thing they had done in sync so far, and marched up the stairs to stand behind him in single file.

Percy looked out at us. "Hello, wizards of Hogwarts. We are up here right now to show you what we are. This was brought on by a certain Boy Who Lived, who couldn't keep his nose out of other people's business."

More glares in my direction.

"But he has a valid point. We planned on telling you sooner or later, we were just waiting for permission. I now have that permission." He took a deep breath. "We are demigods. Children of the gods. They are real, they reside in America, and they are extremely annoying."

Thunder rumbled loudly, but he ignored it.

"How can the gods be real?" A Ravenclaw girl shouted.

"How can wizards be real?" Percy countered.

The hall received this information with silence.

"Perhaps some visuals would be in order." McGonagall suggested calmly. Percy nodded to her.

"Great idea." He turned to the line behind him. "Who wants to go first?"

Piper stepped forward, her eyes glinting. "I will."

"Alright. Name, title, demonstration of powers." Percy told her before moving back.

Piper turned to face us. "My name is Piper McLean. I am a daughter of Aphrodite and Percy lied when he said the only person he knew to have the power to control had died. Harry Potter," Her voice filled with power, compelling me forward. "Get up here. Now."

As I stumbled to my feet against my will, I heard Hermione whisper, "Now he's really going to get it."

Piper crossed her arms as I stopped in front of her. "Apologize to Percy and Annabeth for causing them to relive some very bad memories. And apologize to the rest of us for being an impertinent brown-noser."

The apologies rolled off my tongue before I thought about why I should even say them.

Piper turned to the students. "Charmspeak. Found in extremely powerful children of Aphrodite or Venus. All natural version of the Imperious Curse, and much stronger, obviously. If the great Harry Potter can't throw it off, no one can."

"I'll go next." Calypso stepped forward. Piper backed off to let her have the floor and I started back to my seat.

Something wrapped around my leg and jerked me into the air so I was hanging upside down. Looking at my foot, I saw a huge vine growing right out of the floor of the hall.

"My name is Calypso, and I am a minor goddess. I was exiled to the island of Ogygia and Leo recently rescued me." She dropped me and forced the plant back into the ground, leaving a hole in the floor.

"Leave the hole, we'll fix it soon." Percy ordered when Flitwick stepped up to fix it. The tiny teacher nodded and backed away.

"I'm going next." Leo announced. He stepped into the demonstration area and promptly burst into flames. Several people screamed.

"Leo Valdez, son of Hephaestus! Fire user, only guy to find Calypso's island twice, I built a metal dragon, and I have a magic toolbelt that gives me basically anything I want!" He shouted from inside the inferno. The flames began to loop around the room, not getting anywhere near any students but changing into a myriad of different designs.

"Alright, Repair Boy, knock it off!" Piper called.

The fire went out and Leo bowed obnoxiously.

"Next!" Percy called.

"I'll go. What do you want?" Frank asked.

"What should he do, guys?" Percy asked the others.

"Can you do rhino?" Leo asked excitedly.

"I'm sure I can." Frank stepped forward, then suddenly he wasn't there anymore. A rough-hided rhino stood in his place.

"And archery!" Percy shouted.

Frank returned to his normal form and pulled his bow. "Jason, give me some targets!"

Plates began to fly into the air and Frank started shooting.

"And, stop!" Percy called.

Frank's bow hand dropped. "Frank Zhang, son of Mars, shapeshifter and Praetor of New Rome."

"What's a Praetor?"

"The leader." Jason provided.

"Zhang, stay up there." Clarisse started forward.

"Clarisse La Rue, daughter of Ares, Frank's half sister from a different pantheon, retriever of the Golden Fleece, technically, master of the spear."

She turned to her half brother. "Bring it on."

As Frank charged, Clarisse's spear, which she had been holding, sparked with electricity. The two fought brutally back and forth until Percy stopped them.

"We have to get the others to do it too."

"Right." Frank and Clarisse returned to the line.

"Your turn, Wise Girl." Percy said.

Annabeth stepped up, her hand on her hip. "Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena, too many titles so I'll name two. Survivor of Tartarus and two time Savior of Olympus." She pulled her dagger and lashed at Piper without saying a thing.

The daughter of Aphrodite took the challenge with a grin and the girls also sparred until Percy stopped them.

"My turn." Thalia said. She stepped forward and thunder crackled. "Thalia Grace, use the last name and I'll kill you, daughter of Zeus, lieutenant of Artemis." Again lightning flashed and thunder boomed, then she pulled her bow and shot several arrows at the wall across the room.

They made a simple lightning formation on the wall.

Jason stepped forward right after. "Jason Grace, son of Jupiter, former Praetor of New Rome." More thunder and lightning. He rose into the air and began to fly around, looping and diving.

"Swordsmaster!" Thalia added loudly as her brother landed next to her.

Hazel stepped between them and smiled sheepishly at us. "Hazel Levesque, daughter of Pluto, born in the 1920s, champion of Hecate." She waved her hands and all the torches went out, then relit with green flames. Another wave of her hands and small stones and gems began to shoot out of the ground.

"Don't touch them, they're usually cursed!" She shouted, forcing the stones back into the ground. Then she turned to the hole from Calypso's demonstration and slowly closed it.

There were only two demigods left. Percy looked at Nico and the pale boy shook his head.

Percy nodded and turned to us. "Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon, way too many titles to count so we're going to go with two, like Annabeth. I do have the ones she mentioned as well, but the titles I choose to tell are Slayer of Gaea and Kronos, though that didn't last forever, obviously."

He pushed his hands outward and the liquids in the Great Hall rose into the air. "I'm not going to demonstrate, but hurricanes and other natural disasters relating to water are rather easy. I can control a lot of different liquids, including poison and blood if I chose. I usually don't. I am a swordsmaster and I was a praetor of New Rome. Jason, Nico and I have all spent extended amounts of time at both camps, which we will explain later on. Now it's Nico's turn and I am going to request that he say at least three of his titles."

Nico scowled as he stepped forward. "Fine, Jackson. My name is Nico di Angelo. I was born in Italy in the 1920s, four years before Hazel. I am the only son of Hades alive. I am the Ghost King, The Heir of the Underworld, and Ambassador to Pluto." He bent down and placed his hand against the floor. The temperature dropped in the room and the torches, still green from whatever Hazel had done, flickered and dimmed.

A crack split the floor and white skeletons began to crawl to the surface. Nico banished them immediately and turned to us again.

When he spoke, it was not directed at us. "Your king calls you. Come and bow."

Ghosts floated from every angle, dropping into submissive crouches in front of Nico. "Not you, Lily, James." Nico said, his voice sounding softer. My parents smiled and moved to float behind him.

"Now, I'm sure you have questions-"

"What did you do to Luna?" Ron shouted. "Did Piper do something to her?"

Percy frowned. "Luna?"

"She's been acting weird! What did you do?"

"They did nothing!" Luna stood from the Ravenclaw table.

"Then what's wrong with you?" Ron blundered on, probably trying to salvage himself. Even I could see this was not a good idea.

"Has it ever occured to you, Ronald, that there are demigods in the school? Demigods that came before the exchange students?" Luna asked acidly.

[A/N whooheee that was a long chapter...I wanted to get it done on one go. And I still didn't...oh well, look forward to the rest of it.

I'm sad about the packers game, but hey, someone had to lose and it just happened to be us. Good game, Broncos. (my roommate was surprised by my response to the end of the game, she's a broncos fan)]
