I cannot believe that I'm finally done. I just came out of my last paper ever in high school and I'm feeling good about it. I am done. I went to the roof to wait for the guys. We had already planned to go there when we were done. When I got up there, I saw Peter had gotten there before me.

"Hey mami" he greeted hugging me.

"Hey" I answered smiling. "How was it?" I asked him.

"It was fine. I can't believe it's finally done and dusted" he said.

"I can't as well" we heard Mike say. I ran to him and hugged him.

"Do I get a hug as well?" Jake asked and I hugged him. I didn't even know when he got up here. I was bugging him when I felt someone hug me form the back. It was Lou.

"Now off to Uni" Mike said.

"I don't even know" I said.

"I'm not eager to know" Peter said sitting on the floor.

"Why?!" I asked.

"What if we are accepted into different schools or separated in any other way. I'm going to hate it" he explained. I'm going to hate it as well. Truth is we all applied to the same school hoping to be accepted together. It's a long shot but we did it.

"Let's not think about that for now" Mike said.

"I agree" Jake said.

"By the way, dinner at my place. The whole family" Peter said.

"How do you know that?" I asked.

"Heard them discussing it. So just wanted to prepare you all" he answered.

"They want to celebrate our finishing school" Lou said.

"Let's celebrate it ourselves first!" I shouted and went to our secret booze compartment and brought out the last bottle of whiskey. We planned on drinking it in our last day.

"Our last day drink. It's so real now" Lou said when he saw the bottle.

"I think it was real when we finished with our last exam" I said shaking my head at him. Mike opened the bottle and we all drank. We tried not to make noise because of others that were still writing. Please note the sarcasm. Lou played music from his phone and we began to dance. Mike even carried me on his neck at a point. I'm weirdly going to miss this school. I just hope we are accepted in the same school. That would be dope.

The bells rang and we made our way back into the school. Students came out of their classes and threw papers in the air. The guys and I were part of those who did that. We began opening our locker and throwing unnecessary books and paper to the air. Some students were at a corner crying and hugging each other.

"I can't believe it's over. I'm not going to see you guys again" one girl said crying on her friend's shoulder. They've probably gotten their letters and are going to different universities. Now I'm really hating that the guys and I don't know yet. I'm definitely going to ask mum again when I get home whether she's received any letter for me.

The guys and I went home separately, we are going to get ready for the dinner and meet the over at the Peter's.

"Mum, did I get any letter?" I asked immediately I got home.

"No" I heard her sniff in the living room. She's probably watching The Notebook again. She always cry when she watches​ it. I tried watching it once but didn't finish it. I saw her in the living room surrounded by tissues and watching the notebook like I predicted.

"Why do you keep watching this movie" I asked when I saw her.

"I've been asking myself that same question" Kevin said coming out of the kitchen. He hugged me. I like Kevin a lot now. He's so right for my mum.

"I've got to go, I would see you guys later" he said leaving the house.

"Go get ready, Elly, we're going over to the Micheals by 7" mum said when I sat down beside her.

"You are the one who should be getting ready. Your eyes are red and puffy" I told her. She looks like she's been crying for ages.

"Really?" she asked touching her face and I nodded. She ran up out of the room and up the steps in a matter of minutes going to her room. I decided to go get ready as well. It's to 5 already giving me about two hours before the dinner starts. I ran to my room to shower.

Not knowing what kind of dinner it was I decided to wear a jean short tucked into my top and nude boots. I met my hair loose. I carried a small purse and kept my phone inside.

"Ready?" mum asked peeking until my room.

"Yes" I answered. I was already done with my makeup.

"How do I look?" she asked steeping into the room.

"Beautiful" I answered and she did in those gown. It's a blue below knee length tight down that shows her curves and all. She let her hair fall on her back holding it in place with bobby pins. She's putting on red stilettos with straps. We went downstairs together. We hadn't reached the last step when the door bell dinged. I went to open it while mum went into the living room to kick up her phone. It was Lou.

"Hey" I greeted.

"Hi" he said.

"What you doing here, aren't we supposed to meet at Peter's" I asked.

"That was the plan until dad said she wants to pick you guys up" he said.

"That's weird" I said because it is.

"He's been acting weird all week and wouldn't tell me why" Lou said we quickly because Kevin was coming.

"Where's Jess?" he asked when he got to the door. I pointed to the living room and he went in. Lou and I followed.

"Shall we?" Kevin asked mum. She was surprised to see him but nodded. Kevin drove us to Peter's place but was quiet all through. Anytime we go out together, he's never quiet. Like the time we all went to the carnival, he and mum kept talking non stop that Lou and I had to use ear buds.

"Finally" I said when Kevin parked in the driveway. Everybody else had arrived. " The awkwardness would be over" I added. Lou and I quickly went inside the house. Peter opened the door for us.

"Hey. We were beginning to think you guys were not coming" Peter said.

"I thought you guys had dropped off the planet" Jake added.

"That would have been better than the ride we just had" Lou said and I agreed. Lou and I went to go greet the other parents and everyone else. Jenny, Nick, Zoe and Happy were here as well.

"Congratulations you guys" Jenny said when she saw me.

"Thank you" I said smiling, hugging her.

"Now that we all here can we seat down and eat?" Nick said.

"Yes" Lizzy said and we all sat down on the dining table that had been set outside in the backyard. There were also lights from the small poles set. The place was decorated perfectly.

"First of all, a toast" Riley said before we sat down to eat. I heard Nick groan. Someone is hungry.

"Yes. To you kids for going through high school and finishing on top. Congratulations" James said and we all toasted to that.

"Nice decor" I complimented when we sat down.

"Thank you. We got it done" Daniel said. I was surprised it was style men that did it. Division of labour, the dads did the decor, the mom cooked. We said the grace and we began to eat. Halfway through nobody had said anything so I decided to break the ice.

"Mum, have you received any letter for me?" I asked.

"I don't think we're going to Uni" Lou said.

"You definitely are" Kevin said.

"We have your letters here" Paige said. Mum handed me mine from her purse, Kevin gave Lou his, James gave Mike, Riley gave Peter and Robert gave Jake.

"Now that I have the letter, I'm scared to know if we're going separate ways" I voiced my fears.

"Me too. I can't imagine going to a school without you" Mike said squeezing my hands. I stood up from my seat having lost my appetite and walked to the far end of the yard.

"One thing we must all agree to before we open this letters" Peter said from behind me.

"What is it?" I asked turning back to face them all.

"We are never gone stop being friends" he said.

"That's not an easy promise because going to separate schools means we would meet more people, we are probably going to grow apart. I promise not to stop being friends with you guys" I said fighting back the tears.

"I promise as well" Mike said.

"Promise" Lou, Jake and Peter said.

"Are we going to have to break up?" I asked Mike. That's my worst fear right now. Mike just stated at me and didn't say anything.

"I'm taking that as a yes" I said. Now the tear are going to really come out.

"That's a no. I'm going to make us work if we go separately. Even if that means I reapply to whichever school you go to and have to stay an extra year" Mike said.

"I only defer a year with you" I said and he kissed me.

"Let's open them" Jake said and that was it. Nobody said a word, the only noise were the sounds of paper tearing and the noise from the dinning.

"I hope it works out for them" I heard Zoe say. I squeezed the envelope in my hand and opened the folded letter.

We are pleased to inform you here at California State University that your application as been reviewed and you have been accepted into our Computer Science department. We cannot wait to receive you here on campus and help you with your transition.

Resumption dates and other necessary things have been attached at the back of this letter. We hope you have a safe journey down here and once again congratulations.

I've always wanted to school at California. Even the guys have said that's their dream school. Their campus is amazing and it's always sunny. I didn't bother to open the back and read the rest. Resumption dates and all that don't interest me now until I know where the guys are going. I looked up to look at them and I asked the dreaded question.

"Where?" I asked.

"I'm scared to say it" Lou said.

"Let's say it at once. If we don't say the same thing, we would know we are going to different places" I suggested. They agreed. My heart is beating so fast right now.

"1,2. Go" I said.

"California State" we said at once. I started at the guys and they too were shocked. We dragged each other's paper and read it. We actually all got into California State.

"No way" I said. I'm genuinely surprised. We ran back to the table and told them the news. Jenny, Zoe and Nick were surprised and happy but our parents weren't surprised.

"You did this?" I asked raising the paper up.

"Yes" James said.

"I'm not even gonna ask how. Just gonna say Thank you" I said smiling.

"Thank you so much" the guys said and we hugged them. We went back to our seats all happy now and began eating.

We were having our dessert when Kevin stood up from the table and went to mum's side standing her up from the seat.

"I love you Jess more than I have ever loved anybody. You make me happy, you make me want to protect you from anything. You make me stronger. You make me smile and you make me want to better for you" Kevin said.

"I love you too Kev" mum said smiling. She's definitely blushing although it's had to see under the lighting. Lots of 'awwwn' was said on the table. We were looking at them.

"I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me Jess" Kevin said on one knee.

"Wait... What?!" I shouted disturbing the proposal.

"You and Lou are gonna be siblings" Mike said smirking.

"It's no surprise there. You guys are basically alike. You are like the girl version if Lou even with his eating" Zoe said.

"You guys even guys even share birthday week. Basically twins" Jenny said.

"What?" I said again looking at Lou who was just staring at the proposal.

"Can you shut. She hasn't answered!!!!" Kevin shouted still on his knees. We all kept quiet and looked at mum. She locked eyes with me and I nodded slightly at her smiling.

"Yes!" mum shouted and Kevin kept the ring in her hand and stood up hugging her. They were both laughing.

"Congratulations mum" I shouted hugging her then looking at the ring.

"Thank you" mum said smiling.

"Congrats dad" Kevin said hugging him. Everyone stood up to congratulate them, hugging then as well.

"I guess we're planning a wedding!" I shouting.
