Kajiwara isn't sure how  to deal with her apprehension at the moment. Here she is waiting by the bus station for Tsukishima and Yamaguchi. For repetition and clarifications, she's just really waiting for Tsukishima. She honestly forgot about Yamaguchi for now because he's got Kikyou-chan, dammit. 

Clutching her hand bag between her arm and rib, she taps her foot on the ground impatiently, fixing her hair every now and then. She swore she didn't mean to dress up today. It's just a pool outing with the gang after all! No need to make a fuss about today's outfit. Though she had to admit she want to look good. 

"I'm pretty sure he won't even notice!" She told herself stubbornly, blushing as she realized she was thinking of her Tsukkin again. 

She knocked on her forehead as self-punishment. "Shinobu, idiot! Why would you think it matters if he didn't?! He won't even look at you at the very most!" Kajiwara was practically vexing herself. Arguments and debates flying here and there, making her look crazy at the public's eye. 

A bunch of people had passed by her couple of times, wearing those rattled looks, whenever they set eyes on the teenage girl talking to herself; or rather, she was getting angry at herself for being so overanxious. 

Minutes later, her two best friends arrived without her noticing, and she continued to squabble to herself. The two lads stood there unsure on what to do. They've caught Shinobu like this a couple of times during their childhood, and sure in middle school she did it whenever she thought she was alone in her room, and they were peeking from her door. 

But she was now in high school and they couldn't believe she hasn't lost that habit of hers yet. It's making her look like a lunatic. 

Yamaguchi sweat dropped at her and let Tsukishima handle it. The taller middle blocker flicked the girl's forehead, stopping her motions or whatever incoherent words spluttered out of her mouth. She finally stopped mumbling and looked up at the two giants. Well she was a tall girl herself, having long slender legs as her height advantage. 

"Tsu-Tsukki! Tadashin! You're here!" Kajiwara jumped on her spot, acknowledging the two's presence. 

"Yeah. Sorry to keep you waiting, Shinobu," The Cute-Tall-Boy Debate winner smiles at the girl charmingly and asked how since she arrived. 

She assured them that they didn't take long and that she was early herself, not even answering the question asked by her friend. Tsukishima shakes his head. 

"Let's just go before her stupidity worsens," the blonde suggests, turning his back at them and prompt for them to get going at the meeting place, in between the mall. 

Sugimoto was the one who gave in the details to group, gathering them for meeting after school the other day. Being the one to go over the details of their outing. Of course the florist offered some help with it. They complied to go around ten o'clock and have lunch at the public pool.

Minami, who went there with her sisters once, informed them about the nasty servings of food there; noting that only the yakisoba there tastes good.

Ishinomori then proposed that she'll be in charge of bringing everyone's lunch, volunteering to cook for them. Also because she wants to impress Yamaguchi with her culinary skills. She remembered the advice her brother once said: "The best way to get to a man's heart is through his stomach!" which he probably stole from someone who said it before he did.

"Oh, Shinobu-chin!" Hisano caught sight of her best friend and wave over to them.

"Hisano-chan! Ah, Kageyama-kun's here too. Did we make you wait?" Kajiwara greeted her two, fellow Karasuno students.

The brunette shakes her head as a response, "We're actually early. Kage couldn't contain his excitement and wasn't able to sleep at all!" the girl cackled loudly, slapping her guy's back.

"That hurts, Sugi-san," he wheezes and manages to get his breath back.

From there, Tsukishima begins his teasing, after seeing his teammate.

"What's this? The king is excited to go to a public pool? Ah well, I bet it's his first time!"

'Tsukkin??!!'

"Maybe because he's gotta no one to go with, my my!" 

"Tsukishima!" Kageyama's hand flew to grab his teammate's collar and haul him towards him, their foreheads grinding against each other. 

"Ka-Kageyama-kun! Tsukkin! Stop it!!" Kajiwara served as their referee, pushing the tall males away from each other. Tsukishima wondered how the two were acquainted and questioned her - not even hiding the tone of jealousy which she didn't even took note of - and learned the two were classmates in middle school. 

Sugimoto then acknowledge the presence of Yamaguchi, then gawked at him. "Oh, aren't you Kikyou-chan's boyfriend?!" that got the said boyfriend flustered and raised his palms to explain himself.

"I'm not--Mori-san--"

"Huwah! You even got her a cute nickname!" Hisano chortled, slapping Tadashi at the back. "No wonder she blushes whenever I ask her what you call her!"

"M-Mori-san---boyfriend---M-Me?!??!" 

... 

Their outing continued and they found themselves staring at a crowded pool, the vacant waters reflecting the light of the shining sun that struck their eyes. The most excited among them was Sugimoto who had already stripped down her top clothes, revealing her cute swimsuit that she bought the day before. 

"Yosh!" She cheered, two fist pumping in the air. Ishinomori stood beside her and raised a fist faintly, letting out a soft cheer of 'Osu!'. "Kikyou-chin, let's go!" 

"U-Uh, hai!" The said girl scurried after her friend who came in for a dive, water splashing at her face before she could even join the brunette in the pool. 

"Be careful, Hisano-chan! Kikyou-chan!" Kajiwara can't believe up until here, she has to babysit the two. She had enough of being the older sister! Now she has to make sure her precious Tadashin doesn't die from a nosebleed after seeing his crush in a bathing suit.

Which she poke too soon because it was Kageyama who fainted first. At least Yamaguchi has more stamina when it comes to girls. 

Hinata can't help but burst into laughter after his teammate dropped on the floor, liquid dripping from his nose. Tsukishima was slightly amused but hardly concerned. He casually drank his soda while relaxing under the umbrella provided at the public pool. 

"Seriously? They're like kids," Shimazaki complained from aside, shaking her head. 

"Ah, so you came too, Minami-chan," the tall blonde acknowledge their new acquaintance and asked if she'll go with the other two to cool down. Asked girl shakes her head and said she'll sunbathe on the chairs before going in. "How about you, Tadashin, Tsukkin?"

"Ah, I guess I'll join them..." Says the freckled boy and headed to the two girls splashing waters at each other. 

Kei didn't respond at all and cursed the summer heat.

"Oi Kageyama, wake up already! I challenge you to a duel!" Hinata was trying to wake up his partner whom he carried to sit on a chair and fanning him back to consciousness. 

He sighed, plopping himself on the chair next to the setter, his attention drifting to the judo player at the pool playing with the eerie girl. A playful smile crossed his lips, his mouth covering as he teased, "Mou! I can't believe you're this perverted, Kageyama-kun! Nosebleeding after seeing Sugimoto-san in that~" that made Tobio jerk out of his seat and grab Hinata's neck. (The boy was shirtless so he couldn't grab any collars.) 

"Du-Dumbass!!!" he screeched, face blushing and all. 

Tsukishima can't help but spit his drink out and guffawed. Kajiwara blinked curiously at the two and watch them argue idly. 

"Idiot! Just get rid of those thoughts already and let's play volleyball!"

"I'm going to kill you!!"

"EH?! Kageyama-kun, Hinata-kun, stop it!" Kajiwara ended their feud, pushing them off each other. Her height came in handy sometimes. It can easily intimidate those little feverish boys such as her ginger classmate. 

Huffing and turning away from each other, the two tread towards the pool, jumping in. If it wasn't for Kageyama's height, Hinata's high jump would've brought him more height rather than the tall prodigy. They both dumped in the pool and soon joined the three in their water play. 

The ginger lifted up a ball out of nowhere and coaxed his friends in playing volleyball with him. Tsukishima shakes his head. 'This was supposed to be relaxing and there he goes reminding us about club activities...' he face palmed, shaking his head. 

Shinobu set her eyes on her childhood friend and blushed when Tsukishima caught her staring. She then found the poolside amusing and refused to look back until she was so sure her best friend wasn't looking anymore. She then realized that it was only the two of them left in the table area and became flustered even more. 

Oh how grateful she was when her best friend interrupted their intimate silence, demanding the two of them join their mini volleyball game. 4 VS 4 match. 

Tsukishima filed a complaint against them but they pay no heed to him. 

Sugimoto led the team up; she being the one to make the draw lots - which were sticks - and colored each end with red and blue for teams. 

Team Red composed of: Kajiwara, Shimazaki, Yamaguchi, and Kageyama. The blonde was relieved to have two teammates she knew, one being her best friend. She tried her best to make Minami feel welcome and even assured them this was all for fun.

The rest were in Team Blue; Tsukishima, Hinata, Ishinomori, and Sugimoto. The two hyperactive students were their team's core of energy while the two other class 4 pupils silently watched them.

"This is going to be so much fun," Kikyou smiles at her classmates who seems far from pleased.

"Of course, volleyball again," Kei grumbled, exhaling deeply. 

"Oh, Tsukishima-kun, shouldn't you take off your glasses?" 

"It's fine. It's not like I'm gonna dive into the water." 

"I see..." 

"Let's do our best everyone!" Shinobu motivated her team which composed of the most awkward and quiet ones. Only Yamaguchi responded to her encouragement with a cheer. 

Shimazaki spared a nod while Kageyama was focused on winning this seriously. 

'Can't he keep volleyball off his mind??' Tadashi wonders if his teammate's brain was made of a hard rubber ball. 

Sighing, Kajiwara commences their game with Hinata serving since he's the one holding the ball. The blonde did a solid receive. Their team's setter, of course, couldn't avoid doing a complete set, expecting his guy comrade to do an exceptional spike, but them playing in water made it harder to jump at an average height and the pinch hitter completely missed the set.

"Ha! This ain't a real match you know?!" Hinata hollers from the other side of the net. "We're here to have fun Kageyama! So forget about winning and let me beat you!"

"And so he says..." Tsukishima groans, shaking his head. 

"Alright, it's my turn to serve!" Hisano cheers from his side and takes the ball that floated on the surface. 

She positioned herself at the back and hit the ball with her fist that was sent flying towards the net with a straight angle.

"Net ball," Minami spectated before letting out a yawn. 

Their 'fun' match continued, with several arguments from Hinata and Kageyama, and scolds from Kajiwara mostly. Sugimoto, the ever so oblivious and carefree girl, just laughed at everything that happened today; including the time Kajiwara slipped on the pool tiles and dumped herself into the pool. 

Yamaguchi rushed to her aid while Kei just watched to see if she was okay. Her Tadashin's there to help her anyway. (Insert bitter scoff from the middle blocker of a bastard.) 

They decided to have a short break from playing, Yamaguchi letting his best friend have a seat. Shimazaki volunteered to buy drinks for them alongside Ishinomori while Hinata and Kageyama still quarreled. 

"Shinobu-chin's so clumsy as always," Hisano commented, not even showing a tad of concern for her friend. Same with the megane beside her. 

The brunette sneaked a glance at him, and whispered: "Aren't you going to take care of your girlfriend?" that got the so called "Shinobu-chin's boyfriend" twitching and giving a glare at her. 

"I'm no one's boyfriend," he corrected, his eyebrows furrowing at the false assumption. But his face soon turned into a mischievous one. No way he's going to be teased by a girl he barely knew. "But maybe Kageyama-kun is," he smirked when he saw the girl stiffen. 

"Wha? Kage? Girlfriend?" Sugimoto says, surprised to even receive such information. "Since when?"

"Since when?" Kei mumbles to himself. What does she mean- Oh. Oh. Hohohoho, this just became more interesting. 

His first goal was to tease Sugimoto with her obvious and open crush on Kageyama, but she was open about it so it would useless to do so. 

"Ah, guess you didn't know~!" 

"Didn't know? Why would I know something that isn't true? That's just for suckers."

"HA? What'd you say?"

And so it backfired, and Tsukishima just found another girl that can make his face reunite with his palm once again. The two teens sent glares at each other while the set-partners still argued. 

Shinobu sweat dropped at the sight before her and only snapped out of her trance when Minami and Kikyou came back with the drinks.

"Today is so much fun~!" Clearly, the innocent eerie girl of Class 4 is enjoying herself; being out at the pool with her friends. 

She neglected the dispute of her batch-mates and focused on the bright side of their bonding. Shimazaki sweat dropped.

"It is fun, if you omit those two idiots," she mentioned, pertaining to a ginger boy and the raven haired prodigy. 

Yamaguchi lets out an awkward laugh. "Now, now, it's still early. Let's just continue enjoying the pool and then we can have lunch afterwards!" 

"Right! Way to go Tadashin!" Agreeing, Kajiwara stated that they should live it to the fullest until they reach the time to go home. "Let's go down the slide a couple of times and have swimming races!" 

"Don't forget the water fight!" The freckled boy added. 

"You guys sure are energetic," The soccer player commented, slumping on a plastic chair near their table. 

"What're you talking about, Minami-chan? Of course we are! It's an outing after all! We should have fun!" Kikyou tells her friend who peeks behind her. 

"Tell that to them." 

Hinata and Kageyama need to stop going at each other's throats. And Tsukishima needs to learn how to talk to a girl if ever he pursues on courting Kajiwara. (He has yet to get Sugimoto's approval of him.)
