"Huh? Tutor you?" Shimazaki mused on after Hinata approached her in requesting assistance for his academics. It was already the month of May and their midterm exams are just around the corner. He couldn't afford to fail now for Inter High was also next month. His captain and senpais reminded him to study for the tests but he can't do it without anyone helping him study.

Hinata clasped his hands together, desperately. "Please! I really need you to teach me English! It's my worst subject!" he pleaded.

Minami blinked at him and crossed her arms. "Sorry, but I can't really help you this time. I already have a group study with my team because of my captain being strict with our grades as well." she declined, stating her reason. "Doesn't your team have those kinds of things as well?"

"Unfortunately no..." the middle blocker sulked, giving up. "My smartest first-year club mate won't help me as well..." he referred to Tsukishima who repeatedly denied his favor.

"Hmm... it seems I can't help you on this one. Sorry." Shimazaki bid her goodbye and rushed off to practice before she could even receive another persuasion from Hinata. It was enough that she was letting him ask her out, but actually teaching him academics? She passes, yes, but she's not a bright student herself.

'I give up... there's no way I'd be able to study right...' Hinata moped around. He soon found himself hanging out in the library, pen in his hand and notebooks scattered on the table in front of him. 'Well it wouldn't hurt if I try...' he strived to open his Literature notes only to find it blank.

"I'm done for!!! I didn't even copy a single thing about our lesson!!!" he shrieked getting scolded by the librarian who passed by. "Sorry!" 'Gah! What am I supposed to do now?!' he stood up and decided to look around the Literature section to see if there were useful books that he could use as a reference to study. He saw a book title that was related and tried to reach it but he can't. He was too short.

"Um... is this the book you want...?" an eerie hushed voice asked from behind that was enough to spook Shoyo whose hair raised as soon as he heard it.

He froze on his spot with whitened eyes and a pale face, and pushed himself to turn around to see a murky black haired girl, whose hair and bangs were so long that it covered half of her face, adding it to her eldritch nature.

Hinata's skin hair rose, his feet zooming out of that area, back to his table to fix his things and ditch studying in the library that lunch hour.

The girl stood there confused as she rubbed her chin in worry. "D-Did I scare someone again?" she wondered, staring at the book she offered to the boy a while ago. "This book can actually help in the exams... I feel bad for that boy who ran away." she stared at the empty hallway ahead. 'Oh well'

As classes continued, Ishinomori Kikyou went back to her classroom, only to startle half of her class who never got used to her presence. "Oh, Shino-chan, did you came to the library again?" class 1-4 president, Narahashi Kado spoke to her, one of the persons who didn't treat the girl as an outcast or weirdo of the room. "I did..." She replied shyly.

Another was Yamaguchi, who went in right after her, together with his friend Tsukishima, who also didn't mind about the creepy atmosphere the girl brought.

Ishinomori flinched upon seeing the two best friends, feeling intimidation from them. Mostly from Tsukishima. "Tsukishima, Yamaguchi, hey there." Kado greeted the two who gave him a greeting before proceeding to their assigned seats. The pinch server stopped on his tracks for a while before turning to the long-haired girl with a blank face before sending her a small smile and a short hello.

"Hey there, Mori-san." that was enough to make the girl's heart flutter as she rattled where she stood and send a curt 'Hi'. 'Mo-Mori-san...' she repeated the nickname Tadashi gave her the first time they spoke.

He commented that her last name 'Ishinomori' was too long to say so instead of calling her that, he came up with a cute nickname that suited the girl, as he thought.

'Y-Yamaguchi-kun called me by my nickname again...' she felt elated and started to daze off in front of the classroom, creating weird impressions for her classmates again. But she didn't mind that.

As last period ended, everyone, especially those who joined a club, headed straight to their separate clubs, leaving the assigned cleaners of their classroom. Yamaguchi fixed his gym bag and approach Tsukishima so they could go to the gym together before noticing his classmate, Ishinomori, still sitting in her chair, busy with something. "Mori-san, you're not going home yet?" he asked, startling the girl who was focused on her work.

"E-Eh? A-Ano, not yet." she replies timidly, looking down at her lap. "Sensei asked me if I could stay here until the night to help her with some research."

"Research? Don't tell me it's that paranormal-addicted teacher again." Tadashi frowned, not liking their weird science teacher who's obsessed with supernatural happenings. Kikyou flinched, after getting read through by her crush.

"It's just a short experiment. Nothing dangerous." she assured, fidgeting her hands apprehensively. "A-And sensei's a nice person! S-She said that she'll give me extra credit for participating..."

Tsukishima glanced over his shoulder, giving Ishinomori a look with furrowed eyebrows and misread judgmental eyes. "You know she'll only add it to your conduct grade. She's only our homeroom teacher." he pointed out that caused the girl to stiffen up and sweat nervously.

"I-I know that... I just-I just want to help her out..." she admitted bashfully, hiding her blushing face with her long bangs. "Sorry, I should really go now... Sensei might be waiting for me." the long haired girl excused herself and vacated the classroom to head where her adviser was. 'Tsu-Tsukishima-kun is scary...' she brooded, purple lines appearing beside her.

"You scared her, Tsukki." Yamaguchi told his best friend as they walked towards the gym, with the freckled boy displaying a frown. He was hoping that since the girl will be staying at school until nighttime, he thought about asking her if they could walk home together. But of course, being a coward, and having Tsukishima as the best cock block there is, his chances of asking her are a negative. 'Now how am I supposed to walk with her? I don't even know where to find her... I'm really bad at this.'

"I heard Ichisada-sensei's holding her experiment just by the library where she assumed it was haunted." Kei mentioned out of the blue, pulling Yamaguchi out of his train of thoughts. It took a minute or two before the freckled boy realize why his friend blurted it all of a sudden; as his eyes widened, and his lips curled into a grateful smile.

"Thank you Tsukki!" he exclaimed. And the chances of him with Mori-san increased just a point zero five.
