Chapter 2
Taehyung and me meet in front of Lemon's. Luckily, there aren't any Paparazzi and we can easily walk in (Of course, we made sure that his cap was on and that there weren't so many people inside; mostly adults, middle-aged people, who don't even know what BTS is). We order two coffees and I also get a chocolate cookie with peanut butter. We choose our seats in a corner that is the furthest away from the door and enjoy our daily dose of caffeine.
"So, how was America?" I ask him. "Must be really exciting to perform on Coachella."
He sighs. "It was exhausting. Especially when Singularity came on."
Oh, I remember. Singularity is probably the hottest song on the album. I mean, the video speaks for itself. The commenters under the video were pretty satisfied with the fact that they got so see Kim Taehyung full on screen for three and a half minutes straight. Don't know what to think about the bunch of crazy ARMY that almost attacked him on Coachella.
We continue to drink our coffee and when I begin concentrating on my cookie I hear whispering behind my seat. Tae looks up over my shoulder and instantly starts smiling when I hear the steps coming closer to us. Then, there are two girls, approximately in our age, who come to our table, both smartphones in their hand and ask for pictures. They look a bit nervous, but like any other idol, Tae smiles at them, stands up and takes a selfie with them, but something seems a bit odd when taking the picture. It isn't his appearance though, he is jetlagged, yes, but probably in the best way possible: No red eyes, no black shadows under them and he doesn't look really tired.
It's more the way he smiles into the camera. It's not real. I've known Kim Taehyung almost my entire life and never did he smile at me like he does now. Okay, it looks great, but it's not Tae. It looks strained and like he doesn't enjoy it at all. It's the same way he looked at my first boyfriend a few years ago in our last day of middle school, just a fake smile.
He talks to them for good 2min, while I eat my cookie in silence. The girls go away and leave the cafe while still whispering and somehow laughing at the same time, probably disbelief that they just met Kim Taehyung.
I really have to manage the fact that Taehyung is an idol - One of Korea's most known ones. If I like it or not.
