16. The House Guest

"Brayden, wake up" Caroline said, shaking the middle Salvatore.

"Go away" Brayden complained, putting his duvet over his face.

"Brayden, you said you will drop me to school" Caroline reminded, removing the duvet from Brayden's face.

Brayden finally opened his eyes and looked at his girlfriend, "Hey" he greeted.

Caroline smiled, "Hey".

Brayden grabbed Caroline's arm and pulled her on to the bed, with him hovering over her.

"Brayden!" Caroline yelled shocked, not excepting Brayden to do that.

"How do you feel about skipping school today?" Brayden asked, removing Caroline's hair from her face.

"And why will I do that?" Caroline asked.

"To spend time with your boyfriend" Brayden replied, kissing down Caroline's neck.

"Brayden" Caroline warned, slowly losing control, "I can't skip school" she whispered.

"Then be late" Brayden said, smashing his lips on to Caroline's.

Before things between could escalate between Brayden and Caroline, the two vampires heard a crash.

"What was that?" Caroline asked, breaking the kiss.

"Who cares?" Brayden asked, about to kiss Caroline again, but she pushed him away, "Caroline" Brayden complained, in annoyance.

"What if we are getting attacked?" Caroline asked, getting off the bed.

"We are not getting attacked, princess" Brayden assured, "I'm pretty sure that noise was Damon finding  out about Katherine being out of the tomb".

"Seriously?!" Caroline asked shocked, "Katherine's out of the tomb? How?".

"I didn't tell you?" Brayden asked.

"No, you didn't" Caroline replied, walking out of the room.

"Stupid doppelgangers" Brayden complained, upset that Katherine ruined his morning.

Damon, Stefan, Brayden, Fae, Caroline and Elena stood in Stefan's room, glaring at Katherine who was wearing Elena's clothes, intending to confuse everyone, which she succeeded in, Kaitlynn wasn't there as she refused to be in the same room as Damon, she was still very much mad at him.

"What is she doing here?" Elena asked, glaring at Katherine.

"What the hell are you doing in my house?" Brayden asked Elena, glaring at both her and Katherine.

"I came to see Stefan" Elena defended.

"Stefan wants nothing with you, what part of that do you not understand?" Brayden snapped.

Caroline grabbed Brayden's hand, calming him down, "Forget Elena, Brayden" she said, "What is Katherine doing here?".

"When we killed Elijah it broke the compulsion, freed the bitch from the tomb" Damon replied.

Brayden glared at his twin, "So what I'm hearing is that her being free is your fault" he said, "Hope you are happy with yourself asshole".

"How's that possible though?" Stefan asked confused.

"He's an Original" Katherine replied, "They have all sorts of special skills".

"I don't want you here, get her out of here" Elena demanded.

"Are you serious?" Brayden asked Elena, he looked at his brothers, "Is the bitch serious?", he turned back to Elena, "How dare you demand things from us? This is my house, and I decide who stays and who doesn't, not you!".

"Brayden--".

"Shut up, Elena" Brayden snapped, causing Elena to frown.

"You and Caroline need me, Elena, you all do" Katherine said.

"Like hell" Stefan snapped.

"We all want the same thing" Katherine retorted, "Klaus dead, yet here you all are running around like chickens with their heads cut off".

"So you want our help to kill Klaus, so you are free from him" Fae realised, "Which means you need us, not the other way around".

"Do any of you know where Klaus is?" Katherine asked, "When he's coming, what he looks like?".

"In all those question you just asked, you only know the answer to one" Brayden snapped, "You don't know where Klaus is or when he's coming, your as worried as us Katherine, so cut it with the bloody crap and get out".

"Fine, then I'll just go to the Grill and have some lunch, maybe Aunt Jenna's free for a bite" Katherine taunted.

Brayden rolled his eyes and turned to Caroline, "Aren't you getting late for school?".

"Yeah, but--".

"No buts" Brayden interrupted, grabbing Caroline's hand, "I need to get out of here, so I'm dropping you to school".

Before Caroline could say anything, Brayden dragged her out of Stefan's room.

Brayden walked towards the basement and saw Damon trying to burn Elijah's body with a flamethrower.

"You are so lucky Kaitlynn isn't home" Brayden said, entering the basement.

"Where is she?" Damon asked curiously.

"With Fae" Brayden replied, "She didn't want to be around you, can't blame her".

"Whatever" Damon said, trying not to sure how hurt he was, but he forgot that Brayden knew him too well.

"You have no right to be hurt" Brayden said, "You broke her trust, you deserve her cold shoulder".

"I get it, Bray" Damon snapped, "I'm a horrible person".

Brayden sighed, "Have you even tried apologising to her?".

"Nothing I say is going to make her forgive me" Damon replied, letting Brayden know he hadn't tried to apologise.

"You won't know until you try" Brayden said.

"Ooh, burning flesh" Katherine said, entering the basement, ending the twins conversation, "If you're trying to get the dagger back you're wasting your time, he's indestructible".

"No kidding, how do you know so much about Original vampires?" Damon asked curiously.

"Spend 500 years running from one" Katherine replied.

"So when me and Brayden told you our plan to kill Elijah, why didn't you warn us that we'd die if we used the dagger on him?" Damon asked.

"Because she doesn't care about anyone but herself" Brayden replied.

"There's so many rules, it's all very confusing" Katherine said.

"You knew one of us was going to die" Brayden realised.

"Did Elijah tell you his plan?" Katherine asked, changing the subject, "Did he have a dagger to kill Klaus with?".

"Why are you still here?" Damon asked.

"Because you haven't forcibly removed me" Katherine replied.

Brayden glared at Katherine, he then snatched the flamethrower from Damon and aimed it at her.

Katherine scoffed, "You wouldn't".

Brayden smirked, "Are you sure?" he asked, making Katherine look at him in uneasy.

"Brayden, be smart, I want Klaus dead just as much as you do, more" Katherine said, "If I wasn't being honest about helping, I'd be long gone by now, okay? You can hate me, but we want the same thing, and you know, I always get what I want".

Brayden glared at Katherine, then without warning, aimed the flamethrower at Katherine's hand and turned it on, catching Katherine's hand on fire, making her scream in pain.

"That's for ruining my morning" Brayden said, throwing the flamethrower on the floor.

Damon and Brayden were now in the living room, going through the Gilbert's journals Fae and Stefan found at the Gilbert lakehouse, hoping to find the burial site Elijah was looking for.

"What you two up to?" Katherine asked, entering the living room, her hand now healed, but she made sure to stay away from Brayden, not trusting him to not attack her.

"None of your business" Damon replied, while Brayden smirked seeing Katherine slightly to afraid to come near him.

"We're pouting now?" Katherine asked.

"No, we are ignoring now" Brayden replied.

"Are those the Gilbert journals?" Katherine asked, but both Damon and Brayden ignored her, "How am I supposed to help you two if you won't tell me what you two are up to?".

"Can you tell us where a bunch of witches were massacred in this town a couple centuries ago?" Damon asked.

"No" Katherine replied.

"Then you are useless" Brayden said.

Katherine rolled her eyes and went to grab a journal but Brayden, having enough of her, snapped her neck, just as Kaitlynn entered the living room.

"What the hell" Kaitlynn said, confused seeing her unconscious sister.

"She's not dead, I just snapped her neck" Brayden said.

"Why?" Kaitlynn asked, ignoring Damon who was looking at her.

"Cause she pissed me off" Brayden said.

"Of course" Kaitlynn mumbled, not even surprised.

"Why are you here?" Brayden asked.

"Right, I came to tell you Caroline can't spend the evening with you" Kaitlynn replied.

"Excuse me?" Brayden asked, "Of course she's spending the evening with me, it's date night".

"No, tonight there's a live band at the Grill me, Fae and Caroline are going there, so your going to have reschedule your date night" Kaitlynn informed.

"Why are you telling me this and not Caroline?" Brayden asked.

"It was Fae's idea" Kaitlynn replied, "She knew if Caroline came here to talk to you, then she will never reach the Grill, so she sent me here as the messenger, while she stays with Caroline, making sure she doesn't run to you".

"That's not fair" Brayden complained, "She's my girlfriend".

"And our friend" Kaitlynn said, "It's one night Bray, you will survive", Brayden went to protest, but Kaitlynn ignored him and turned to Damon, "The massacre you two are looking for, Emily and Fae told me about it, it was a huge deal for all the witches".

"Why?" Damon asked confused.

"According to Emily and Fae, whenever a witch dies violently, they release all their magic at the place they died at, marking it as a place full of magic and power" Kaitlynn informed.

"Elijah wanted to know the site of the massacre" Damon told Kaitlynn.

"Why?" Kaitlynn asked confused.

"I don't know" Damon replied.

"You could ask him, oh wait, you can't cause you daggered him" Kaitlynn taunted, glaring at Damon, making him sigh.

"Yikes" Brayden commented, he then turned to the entrance of the living where he saw Stefan, who was looking at Katherine's unconscious body in confusion.

"What did the Doctor witch and his son say?" Brayden asked.

Stefan and Fae had set a meeting with Dr. Martin and his son Luka, the two witches who were helping Elijah kill Klaus, because Klaus had Dr. Martin's daughter in captivity.

"Elijah had no weapon to kill Klaus" Stefan revealed, "But he believed that if a witch could channel enough power, they wouldn't need one".

"Like the power you get from a spot marked with a hundred dead witches?" Damon asked.

"We just need to find it" Stefan replied.

"Then let's get to it" Brayden said, grabbing a Gilbert journal.

After Kaitlynn left to spend the night with Fae and Caroline, Brayden, Damon and Katherine, who had finally woken up from her snapped back, sat in the living room, going through the Gilbert journals, trying to find the location of the witches massacre.

Brayden suddenly felt something weird, causing him to look towards the entrance of the living room, but finding no one.

"What?" Katherine asked Brayden, seeing him look around confused.

Brayden shook his head, "Nothing" he said, thinking he was just being paranoid, unaware that Luka Martin was currently in the room.

"Can I help you?" Damon asked Katherine, sensing her behind him, reading the journal over his shoulder.

"I'm bored" Katherine replied, making Damon sigh in annoyance while Brayden rolled his eyes, suddenly Katherine's eyes landed on something, "Emily Bennett was taken by the Council today, they tried to find her daughter Fae but it seemed like she had left town" she read, "The council kidnapped Emily from her home and took her to the same location her ancestors were burned a hundred years ago, so Emily died on the site of  the massacre too".

"Yeap" Brayden said, exchanging a look with Damon, both of them knew exactly where Emily had died, after all they had tried to save her.

"Does it say where?" Katherine asked, missing the brothers look, and trying to grab the journal from Damon.

"Nope" Damon said, keeping the journal away from Katherine's reach, "You know this whole friendly, cooperative thing?".

"Mm-hm" Katherine hummed.

"None of us buy it" Brayden finished.

"I have no reason to lie to any of you, Brayden" Katherine said.

"Lie" Damon whispered, making Brayden chuckle.

Katherine rolled her eyes at the twins, "I'm hungry" she announced.

"You're the unwanted houseguest, go feed yourself" Damon said.

After Katherine left, Brayden took his phone out and sent Damon a text, not wanting Katherine to hear him.

You remember, right?

Damon looked at his phone, then at his brother and nodded, letting Brayden know he remembers where Emily had died.

"Well, nothing in any of these" Stefan said, entering the living room, "You both find anything?".

"Nope" Brayden replied, while Damon nodded his head, confusing Stefan.

Damon handed him a journal and pointed to a passage.

"That's too bad" Stefan said, after reading what Brayden and Damon had found out.

"Yeah, bummer" Damon said.

Stefan nodded at his brothers and left the living room, taking the journal with him.

"Damon! Brayden!" the twins heard Katherine yell.

The twins exchanged a look and rushed towards the basement where Katherine was, reaching there they were shocked seeing Katherine on the floor with a wooden plank through her stomach.

"What happened?" Damon asked confused, taking the plank out.

Katherine looked towards Elijah's body, and saw the dagger slowly coming out, "Damon" she whispered.

Damon turned to Elijah and saw the same thing, causing him to quickly grab the flamethrower.

"Damon, wait!" Brayden yelled, but it was too late as Damon turned the flamethrower on and started burning Luka.

"What are you doing?!" Stefan asked, running into the basement extremely shocked and confused.

"Some kind of crazy ass psychic witch attack, get over there and do something about it!" Damon yelled.

"You go to the witches, I'm going to make sure the girls are safe" Brayden said.

Stefan nodded and with that both Brayden and Stefan rushed out the boarding house.

Kaitlynn, Caroline and Fae entered the Grill where the live band was playing.

"Wow" Fae said.

"They're good, right?" Caroline asked.

"Amazing" Kaitlynn replied, as the girls started dancing on the dance floor.

As Caroline was dancing, her eyes landed on the bar where she saw Brayden sitting, keeping an eye on the girls.

"I'll be back" Caroline told the girls.

"Unbelievable" Fae said, also seeing Brayden, "He can't stay away from her for one night".

Kaitlynn chuckled, "Let them be Fae, they're in love".

"But tonight is girls night" Fae complained.

"And she will come back" Kaitlynn assured, "Till then dance with me, Bennett".

"She has ten minutes" Fae stated.

Kaitlynn chuckled, she grabbed Fae's hand and spinned her around, making Fae yell in surprise.

"It's a live band, Fae, enjoy it" Kaitlynn said, making Fae laugh.

"Are you spying on me?" Caroline teased, walking over to Brayden.

"I'm making sure you're safe" Brayden said, handing Caroline a shot.

"Is everything okay?" Caroline asked, downing the shot.

"Everything's fine" Brayden assured, not wanting to ruin Caroline's night by telling her about the witches attack.

Caroline narrowed her eyes at Brayden, not believing him, "You're lying".

"You should get back to Fae and Kaitlynn" Brayden said, "Fae looks like she wants to bury me alive".

"Brayden--".

Brayden grabbed Caroline's wrist and smashed his lips on to hers, "Go have fun, princess" he whispered against her lips.

"If I get drunk will you take care of me?" Caroline whispered, looking into Brayden's eyes.

"I always do" Brayden assured, "Now, go".

"Okay" Caroline laughed, walking away from Brayden.

"Princess!" Brayden yelled, making Caroline turn to him.

"What?" Caroline asked confused.

"I love you" Brayden said, making Caroline smile.

"Back at you" Caroline said, running over to Kaitlynn and Fae, leaving a smiling Brayden behind.

"Finally" Fae said, seeing Caroline walk over to them.

"I wasn't gone for that long" Caroline said.

"Doesn't matter, tonight is girls night and you went over to your boyfriend, and for that you must be punished" Fae stated.

"Seriously?" Caroline asked amused.

"Seriously" Fae replied.

Kaitlynn put her arm around Caroline's shoulder, "This is what I've been dealing for the past century, now it's your turn".

Fae glared at Kaitlynn, "I will deal with you later" she said, she then turned to Caroline, "Now, are you ready for your punishment?".

"Do I have a choice?" Caroline asked.

"Nope" Both Fae and Kaitlynn said stimuteanously.

Caroline chuckled, "Okay, so what's the punishment?".

"You love Brayden, right?" Fae asked.

"Yeah" Caroline replied, confused as to where Fae was taking this.

"Okay, so your punishment is that you're going to go on that stage, and sing a song for Brayden" Fae said.

Caroline looked at Fae in shock, "What?".

"You heard me" Fae replied, "Go on".

"Wait" Kaitlynn said, taking Caroline's jacket off, "Now you can go".

"You both are evil" Caroline said.

"You love us" Kaitlynn teased, she then pushed Caroline towards the stage, "Go".

"Trust me, we are helping you here, if you sing a good song, I assure you that tonight you and Brayden will have banging sex" Fae teased.

Caroline looked at Fae wide eyed, while Kaitlynn laughed, "You're vulgar".

"Did I lie though?" Fae challenged.

"Come on Caroline, show Brayden that he's not the only one who can make a grand gesture" Kaitlynn said.

Caroline looked towards the bar, to see Brayden drinking bourbon and talking to Alaric, taking a deep breath, Caroline nodded, "Let's do this" she said.

"Yes!" Fae and Kaitlynn yelled, high fiving each other.

"Go get them tiger" Fae said, pushing Caroline towards the stage.

Caroline gave Fae and Kaitlynn one last glance, and then ran on stage.

"Hey, everybody" Caroline said into the microphone, gaining Brayden's attention, who was shocked seeing her on the stage, "Let's hear it for the band, aren't they awesome?", everyone started clapping and hooting, Caroline then looked towards a shocked Brayden, "So there's this guy, and he always lets the world know how much he loves me, and I realised I never let the world know what he means to me, it's not easy, just because I talk a lot doesn't mean I always know what I'm actually talking about", Caroline took a deep breath, "Like now, I'm feeling loopy and I don't really know how to express myself, how to let the world know much I love him".

"Sing a song!" Fae and Kaitlynn yelled, making Caroline laugh.

"I can do that" Caroline said, "Yeah, you know what, I'm gonna sing", Caroline looked towards the bar, where Brayden stood, shocked, "Brayden, if you want to join, feel free".

"Come on, off the stage" The lead singer of the live band said.

"You are gonna let me live out my rockstar fantasies and you are going to be my back-up" Caroline compelled.

"What will it be?" The compelled singer asked.

Caroline smiled and whispered something into his ear, she then looked at Brayden, "I love you" she said, just as the music for They Don't Know About Us by One Direction started playing.

"People say we shouldn't be together, too young to know about forever, but I say they don't know, what they talk talk talking about" Caroline singed, looking right at Brayden, "Cause this love is only getting stronger, so I don't wanna wait any longer, I just wanna tell the world that you're mine boy".

Kaitlynn and Fae ran over to Brayden and shoved him towards the stage, and without wasting any time, Brayden ran on to the stage, making Caroline smile.

"They don't know about the things we do, they don't know about the I love yous, but I bet you if they only knew, they would just be jealous of us" Brayden sang into the microphone.

Caroline smiled at Brayden, and then both of them started singing together, "They don't know about the up all nights, they don't know about I've waited all my life, just to find a love that feels this right, baby they don't know about, they don't know about us".

Brayden walked closer to Caroline, and started singing in her microphone, "Just one touch and I was a believer, every kiss it gets a little sweeter, it's getting better, keeps getting better all the time girl".

"They don't know how special you are, they don't know what you've done to my heart, they can say anything they want, cause they don't know about us" Caroline sang.

"They don't know what we do best, that's between me and you, our little secret" Brayden sang.

"But I wanna tell them, I wanna tell the world that you're mine, boy" Caroline sang.

Brayden stared at Caroline for a moment, then without warning, he grabbed her hand and spinned her around, dipping her down, Brayden smashed his lips on to Caroline's.

"Get it on!" Fae yelled.

"Brayline forever!" Kaitlynn yelled.

Brayden and Caroline laughed hearing Fae and Kaitlynn, Brayden helped Caroline back, "Yours" he whispered into her ear.

Caroline smiled and kissed Brayden again.

Brayden and Caroline were in the bathroom, making out, when suddenly the bathroom lights turned off, causing Brayden and Caroline to separate and look at each other in confusion, Caroline opened the bathroom door and realised the power to the whole Grill was out.

"The whole places power is out" Caroline said.

"Great" Brayden said, putting his hands on Caroline's waist and pulling her towards him, he put Caroline's hair to one side and started kissing down her neck, Caroline closed her eyes and relished Brayden's touch when suddenly the door bursted open, causing Caroline to yell and hide behind Brayden.

"Are you kidding me?" Brayden said, glaring at Stefan, Fae and Kaitlynn.

"You guys can have sex later, right now we have a problem" Kaitlynn said.

"God, dammit!" Brayden yelled, pissed off, "What happened now?".

"Jonas is here and he's after Caroline and Elena" Stefan revealed.

"What, why?" Caroline asked confused.

"Because Damon killed his son" Stefan revealed, "We have a plan but Brayden you need to get Caroline out of here".

"On it" Brayden said, grabbing Caroline's hand.

"Wait, what's the plan?" Caroline asked.

"Katherine's the plan" Fae revealed, shocking Brayden and Caroline.

"Come on" Brayden said, trying to take Caroline out of the Grill, but before they could leave, Dr. Martin blocked there way, "Dr. Martin, you don't want to do this" Brayden warned, standing infront of Caroline, "I'm sorry about your son, killing him was never part of our plan, but we can still help you get your daughter back".

"Only Elijah can do that" Dr. Martin said.

"Well Elijah isn't here" Brayden snapped, angering Dr. Martin causing him to light the bar on fire.

Dr. Martin went to attack Brayden and Caroline, when Fae came and using her magic, started giving him an aneurism, "Go!" Fae yelled to Brayden and Caroline.

Brayden nodded, grabbing Caroline's hand, both of them rushed out the Grill.

Stefan, Fae, Brayden, Caroline and Kaitlynn entered the Gilbert's house, where Fae had located Dr. Martin.

"Where's Elena?" Stefan asked Jeremy.

"Upstairs" Jeremy replied.

"When did you get home, Jer?" Brayden asked.

"A few minutes ago" Jeremy replied.

"Please tell me you checked the house" Kaitlynn said.

"And why would I check the house?" Jeremy asked confused.

Before anyone could say anything, the vampires heard noise coming from the upstairs bathroom, causing Fae and Stefan to speed up, while the others stayed downstairs, 

Entering the bathroom, Stefan and Fae saw a dead Dr. Martin, courtesy of Katherine.

"You're welcome" Katherine told the group.

"There was no need to kill him like this" Fae snapped, kneeling beside a dead Dr. Martin.

"Yes, I did" Katherine said.

Fae looked at Dr. Martin's dead body, she hated seeing dead witches, it was one of the worst feelings in the world, just as Fae was about to close Dr. Martin's eyes, he woke up and placed his hands on Fae's head and started chanting, Stefan quickly speeded over and snapped Dr. Martin's neck.

"Are you okay?" Stefan asked, helping Fae stand.

Fae didn't say anything she just nodded, she was too shocked with what just happened.

"Thank god" Stefan said, hugging Fae, who gladly hugged him back, while a jealous Katherine looked on.

"How did you guys convince her to do this?" Elena asked Damon and Brayden.

"We didn't, it was actually her idea" Damon replied.

"That's concerning" Kaitlynn said, knowing that her sister did nothing without a ulterior motive.

"Very" Brayden said.

"Everything's take care of" Stefan said, as he, Fae and Katherine came down.

"I'm guessing you're going to want this back" Katherine said, showing Elena her necklace, "But your pretty little outfit is going to need a good dry-clean".

Elena glared at Katherine and snatched her necklace from her, she then turned to Stefan, "You're gonna have to get her out of here before Jenna gets home".

"Is that all you have to say to me?" Katherine asked.

"One good deed doesn't make you the good guy, Katherine" Brayden said, handing Caroline some curly fries he got for her, knowing she needed it.

"Thanks" Caroline said, eating her curly fries.

"We are going home, now" Brayden said, as Caroline stood up, "My evening has been ruined, I don't want to ruin my night as well by seeing Elena and Katherine's faces, so goodbye".

"Are you sure you are okay?" Stefan asked, following Fae into her room.

"I'm fine, Stefan" Fae assured, "I'm more then fine".

Fae stepped closer to Stefan.

"Fae--".

"Shh" Fae whispered, she moved closer and started whispering into Stefan's ear, "Dr. Martin told me how I can kill Klaus".

Fae stepped back from Stefan, "What?" A shocked Stefan asked.

"We finally know how to kill Klaus, Stefan" Fae said, smiling.

"Can we talk?" Damon asked, entering Kaitlynn's room.

"No" Kaitlynn replied, "I don't want to hear your fake apology".

Damon sighed, "I'm not here to apologies, Kaitlynn".

"Then why are you here?" Kaitlynn asked confused.

"What I did, it was to protect the people I care about from Elijah, who I don't trust, even if he is your soulmate" Damon replied, "He lied to Caroline, he made her think he was going to protect her, but he was planning to hand her over to Klaus, you can hate me all you want Kaitlynn, but you can't deny that Elijah wasn't innocent either, not even when it came to you".

After saying his point, Damon walked away, leaving a conflicted Kaitlynn behind.

After dropping Caroline at her house, Brayden entered his room, only to see Katherine laying on his bed.

"Do you have a death wish?" Brayden asked.

"Stefan's with Fae, while Damon's busy with my sister" Katherine replied, "I'm bored".

Brayden smirked, "You're jealous" he realised, "You're jealous because my brothers could care less about your sorry ass".

"Why are you so rude to me?" Katherine asked, walking over to Brayden, and putting her hand on his chest, "We could have so much fun together Brayden, and I promise, Caroline will never find out".

Brayden looked at Katherine, and just as Katherine thought he was about to kiss her, Brayden shoved her to the ground.

"You know what I'm confused about" Brayden said, laying on his bed.

"What, Brayden?" Katherine asked, standing up and glaring at Brayden.

"How did this town know about Emily Bennett being a witch?" Brayden asked, "Fae definitely didn't out her mother, and it wasn't Johnathan Gilbert because Emily was helping him, so he didn't turn her in", Katherine shrugged, giving Brayden his answer, "I knew it".

"She was a loose end, I like mine tied up" Katherine defended.

"I can't wait to see what Fae's going to do to you once she figures out that your the reason she lost her mother" Brayden said.

"You know what I can't figure out?" Katherine asked, changing the subject.

"I honestly don't care" Brayden said.

"Why you won't tell me where to find the site of the witch massacre" Katherine said.

"Maybe cause I don't know where it is" Brayden lied.

"You and Damon knew that Emily Bennett was the key to getting me and Kaitlynn out of that tomb" Katherine said, "Something tells me that you two did everything in your power to make sure that she was safe, yet you have no idea where she was killed, who's the liar now?".

"Still you" Brayden replied.

"You hurt me today, twice" Katherine said, laying next to Brayden.

"I will hurt you again if you don't get off my bed" Brayden threatened.

"You were mean, and very rough" Katherine said, moving closer to Brayden, "And monstrous".

"That's how I am with people I hate" Brayden said, glaring at Katherine.

"I like this Brayden" Katherine whispered, moving closer to Brayden's lips.

Before she could kiss him, Brayden pushed her off the bed and on to the floor.

"Get the hell out of my room" Brayden said.

Katherine stood up and looked at Brayden, who was now busy texting Caroline, after one last glance, Katherine walked out of Brayden's room, realising he had no interest in her.
