06. Lost Girls

Mystic Falls, Virginia, 1864

Stefan walked out of his house, waiting for their new house guests to arrive, he watched as a carriage pulled up and two girls were escorted out.

Stefan looked at the two girls and was stunned with their beauty, he slowly walked over to them, "You two must be the Pierce sisters".

"Please, call me Katherine" Katherine said, forwarding her hand towards Stefan, who placed a small kiss on the back of it.

Stefan turned to the other girl, who was standing behind Katherine, looking down at the ground, "And you are?".

The girl finally looked up and gave Stefan a small smile, "Kaitlynn".

After making sure Caroline was home safely, Brayden walked into the cemetery and saw Damon draining someone's blood, while being surrounded by dead bodies.

"Thanks for inviting me to the buffet" Brayden said sarcastically, letting his presence known to his brother.

Damon stopped drinking and looked at his brother, "You have your princess to feed you, I don't have anyone, so leave me be".

Brayden rolled his eyes, "You realise you're going to have to clean this mess up right?".

"I thought that's your job" Damon mocked, "I make a mess, you clean it up".

"I need to get our daylight rings back from our baby brother, or did you forget that sun is about to rise in a few hours?" Brayden asked, taking his phone out of his pocket.

"Buzzkill" Damon mumbled, finally standing up and dragging the dead body towards the fire pit, he grabbed a bottle of alcohol and started sprinkling it on the other ones.

"Hello" Stefan answered.

"Me and Damon want our rings asshole" Brayden said, getting straight to the point.

"Where are you two?" Stefan asked worried.

"At the sizzler" Brayden replied, "Damon just finished having a buffet, now where's our rings?".

"I don't have it" Stefan replied, " Where are you two, what have you done?".

 "Ah uh" Brayden replied, "This isn't our fault brother, it's yours, so you should be asking yourself, what the hell did I do, what was I think locking my two very angry older brothers in the basement to starve, whatever we have done, whoever we killed, is on you Stefan, not us".

"You both are being careless, how many more animal attacks is this town gonna believe?" Stefan asked.

"Don't lecture me, me and Damon know how to cover our tracks, we're not you" Brayden snapped, looking towards Damon, who was now lighting the bodies on fire, "Now, I won't ask again, where the hell are our rings?".

"I gave them to Zach to hide" Stefan replied, "Probably shouldn't have kill him".

"Do you think I'm an idiot?" Brayden asked, "Since you are being so stubborn, let's put a clock on it, shall we? If by the next sunset, me and Damon don't have our rings, I'm going to your little girlfriend's house and I'm ripping her throat out, while making you watch".

"I already want you dead, don't give me another reason" Stefan warned.

"You know what? Fine" Brayden said, "Don't give us our rings, but then Elena's death will be on you, because you took my threat lightly, tick tock little brother, your girlfriend's time is running out".

Brayden hanged up on Stefan, "You are definitely more meaner then me" Damon commented.

"No, I just know how to get things done, you don't" Brayden replied.

"Sure, whatever you say" Damon said.

"You missed a body" Brayden said, pointing to the body of Vicki Donovan.

"Have some patience" Damon snapped, walking over to the body with the alcohol body.

"Clean the mess you made, faster" Brayden snapped back.

Damon ignored his brother and started soaking Vicki with the alcohol when suddenly she started coughing, causing Damon and Brayden to exchange a look.

Damon kneeled beside Vicki, "You just don't wanna die, do you?".

"Oh this is going to be a nightmare" Brayden mumbled.

"Where are you, Stefan?" Damon asked into the phone, "Me and Brayden are trapped at the house, and we are getting really bored and really impatient, and we don't do bored and impatient, bring us our rings, damn it".

Brayden walked down the stairs, drying his hair with a towel, "Oh come on" he complained, seeing Vicki's blood getting on their couch, "Damon, your plaything is ruining my couch".

Damon removed the towel from Vicki's neck and examined the bite, "I got you good, didn't I?".

"She can't hear you" Brayden replied, pouring himself a drink.

"Let's change that then" Damon said, biting into his wrist.

"You're gonna regret that" Brayden commented, as Damon started to feed Vicki his blood.

"Probably" Damon said, "Okay, drink up, drink it up", Vicki struggled for a bit, but then willingly started drinking, "Don't drip, there you go, good girl, that's it".

Brayden rolled his eyes at his brother, taking his phone out, he messaged the one person's whose company he could actually tolerate.

"Wait, where did you two learn this game?" Stefan asked, running after his brothers.

"Camp outside Atlanta, one officer picked it up at Harvard" Damon replied, throwing the ball towards Brayden who easily caught it.

"Your turn" Brayden said, throwing the ball towards Stefan.

"Wait, wait, what are the rules?" Stefan asked, catching the ball, "What are the rules?" he repeated, as Brayden and Damon charged towards him.

"Who needs rules?" Katherine asked, as her and Kaitlynn made their way towards the brothers, "Mind if we join you?".

"Well, you could, uh--you could get hurt" Stefan replied, "My brothers like to play rough".

Katherine chuckled, "Somehow, I think that you play rougher", Katherine snatched the ball from Stefan and started running away.

"Why are you just standing there?" Damon asked Stefan, "That is a girl who clearly wants to be chased, if you don't do it, I will", both Stefan and Damon chased after Katherine, leaving Brayden and Kaitlynn alone.

"Are you not going to chase after her?" Kaitlynn asked curiously.

"I'd rather chase after you" Brayden replied, smiling at Kaitlynn.

"How many girls have you used that line on Mr. Salvatore?" Kaitlynn asked, slightly amused.

"You're the first" Brayden admitted, "And please call me Brayden".

"Well, Brayden" Kaitlynn said, "Will you like to take a walk with me?".

"I would love to" Brayden replied, forwarding his hand for Kaitlynn.

Kaitlynn smiled and placed her hand in Brayden's.

Stefan chased after Katherine, while Kaitlynn followed behind.

"Ha! I win, what's my prize?" Katherine asked Stefan.

"What would you like it to be?" Damon asked.

"They extended both of your leave?" Stefan asked his brothers in surprise.

"We were having too much fun here" Brayden replied.

"You guys commitment to the Confederacy is inspiring" Stefan said, hugging his brothers.

"Well, this works out wonderfully for me" Katherine said.

"How's that, Miss Katherine?" Damon asked.

"Now I'll have all three of you to keep me entertained" Katherine replied, "First and foremost, I'll need someone to escort me to the Founder's Ball".

"I would be honored", "With pleasure" Stefan and Damon said simultaneously.

Katherine looked at Brayden who didn't say anything, "I'd like to take your sister to the ball" Brayden clarified, making Katherine frown and Kaitlynn smile.

"I would love that" Kaitlynn said.

"I got your message" A excited Caroline said, entering the Boarding House, "And I came prepared".

"With what?" Brayden asked curiously.

"Okay, so I know you and Damon are stuck here all day, so I bought us something we can binge watch together" Caroline replied, giving Brayden a cheeky smile.

"No you didn't" Brayden said, realising what Caroline had bought.

"Yes I did" Caroline replied, "Now where's your brother? Damon, where are you?!".

"In the living room!" Damon yelled back.

"Come on" Caroline said, holding Brayden's hand and dragging him towards Damon.

"I'm not watching that Caroline" Brayden complained.

"What are you not watching?" Damon asked confused.

"I bought all the twilight movies" Caroline replied.

"No" Damon said simply.

"Oh come on" Caroline complained, "You both owe me, I saved both of you, if not for me, both of you would have still been in the basement".

Brayden narrowed his eyes at the Forbes girl, "You're emotionally blackmailing us".

Caroline smiled, "Maybe" she said, "Come on guys, it will be fun, I also bought a bunch of sweets we can eat".

"Not happening" Damon said, "I've heard Brayden complain enough about the books, I don't want to even know how the movies go".

"They're not that bad, I promise" Caroline assured the brothers.

Before anyone of the brothers could reply, a healed Vicki made her way downstairs, while drying her hair, "Man, that shower was so great".

Caroline looked between Damon and Brayden in confusion, "What is she doing here?".

"What is she doing here?" Vicki asked, glaring at Caroline.

Brayden ignored Vicki, "Damon" he told Caroline, knowing she will get it.

"Right" Caroline whispered.

Vicki looked at her neck in the mirror, and frowned seeing it all healed up, "What did you give me?".

"Some blood, you loved it" Damon replied.

"I did?" Vicki asked confused, Damon nodded, "Wait, I'm confused, how did we get here?".

Damon looked into Vicki's eyes and started compelling her, "We met in the woods, you were drunk, I attacked you, then I killed all your friends, brought you here, gave you some blood, you loved it, and now we're gonna party till the sun goes down".

"Okay, but first, can I have another hit?" Vicki asked, "That blood was so good".

"Okay" Brayden said, realising what was about to happen, "How about that twilight marathon then?".

"Seriously?" Caroline asked shocked, "You will watch it with me?".

"I will do anything if it means I don't have to watch those two be disgusting" Brayden replied, disgust evident in his voice.

"Anything?" Caroline asked, smiling, "Even sparkle in the sun?".

Brayden shook his head at Caroline, but a small smile did form on his mouth, "Except that".

"But that comes in the anything category" Caroline replied.

Brayden rolled his eyes, ignoring Caroline's words, he walked closer to her and picked her up in his arms.

"Woah!" Caroline yelled, startled by the sudden action, "What are you doing?".

"Taking you to my room so we can watch your stupid movies" Brayden replied.

"You realise I have legs, that work perfectly fine, right?" Caroline asked.

"Yeah but I have super speed" Brayden replied, speeding them up to his room, leaving Damon and Vicki behind.

"So what?" Vicki asked curiously, "Your brother and Caroline are a thing?".

"Not yet" Damon replied simply.

Vicki shook her head in disgust, "I wish your brother luck if he ever dates her, she is a handful".

Damon frowned, "You don't know her".

"I've known her since we were kids" Vicki retorted.

"There's a difference between knowing someone, and actually knowing what type of person they are" Damon snapped.

"Why are you getting so defensive over her?" Vicki asked curiously, "Are you in love with her or something?".

"No" Damon replied, starting to compel Vicki, "But while you are staying here, I don't want to hear a word against Caroline, am I clear?".

"While I stay here, I won't say anything against Caroline" Vicki repeated.

"Great" Damon said, "Now, about that blood".

Kaitlynn entered her room, and gasped in shock when she saw Brayden sitting on her bad.

"What are you doing here?" Kaitlynn asked confused.

"You're a vampire" Brayden whispered, shocking Kaitlynn.

"How--who told you?" Kaitlynn asked, sacred Brayden was now going to tell his father.

"Your sister cornered me, she said that if I'm going to love you, I need to know everything about you" Brayden informed.

"Katherine told you about me?" Kaitlynn asked shocked.

Brayden nodded, "And about her", Brayden stood up and started walking towards Kaitlynn.

"What are you doing?" Kaitlynn asked, slightly vary.

"I should hate you" Brayden replied, "I should think that you're a monster".

"Do you?" Kaitlynn whispered, as Brayden trapped her between the wall and him.

"No" Brayden admitted, "Looking at you, I don't see a monster, I still see the girl who has captivated my heart, you being a vampire changes nothing Kaitlynn, I love you, and I always will".

"Brayden--".

"Shh" Brayden said, placing his finger on Kaitlynn's lips, "No more talking".

Before Kaitlynn could reply, Brayden smashed his lips on to hers, it took Kaitlynn by surprise, but once she realised what was happening Kaitlynn gladly kissed back.

While they were still kissing, Brayden guided Kaitlynn towards the bed, Kaitlynn's knees hit the bed causing her to fall on it and Brayden to fall on top of her, his lips still attached to hers.

Suddenly, veins started appearing under Kaitlynn's eyes, causing her to push Brayden away from her and quickly sit up, but before she could go anywhere, Brayden sat up and grabbed her wrist.

"Brayden, please" Kaitlynn pleaded, not wanting Brayden to see her like this.

"Don't hide from me" Brayden said, making Kaitlynn turn to him, he ran his thumb under her eyes, "You're beautiful".

"I'm a monster" Kaitlynn whispered.

"Not to me" Brayden said, kissing Kaitlynn again.

When Brayden and Kaitlynn separated again, the veins under Kaitlynn's eyes were gone.

"I love you too" Kaitlynn admitted suddenly.

Brayden smiled, "I know" he whispered, finishing what he started.

The sun rays peeping from the curtains, disturbed Kaitlynn's sleep, she groaned and slowly opened her eyes, she tried moving but a hand on her waist, stopped her, confusing her, for a second Kaitlynn had no idea who was lying beside her, but suddenly everything that happened last night came back to her, making a smile form on her face.

Slowly turning around, Kaitlynn was met with Brayden's sleeping figure, Kaitlynn leaned forward and placed a small kiss on his lips.

Feeling Kaitlynn's lips on his, Brayden slowly opened his eyes, "Mmm, good morning".

"Good morning" Kaitlynn whispered.

"You're up early" Brayden commented.

"It's ten o'clock" Kaitlynn informed.

"Too early" Brayden said, pulling Kaitlynn closer to him, "Go back to sleep".

"You know we can't" Kaitlynn said, removing Brayden's hair from his face.

"Yes we can" Brayden said.

Kaitlynn opened her mouth to protest, when suddenly the doors to her room burst open.

"Katherine!" Kaitlynn yelled, seeing her sister waltz into her room.

Katherine looked between Brayden and Kaitlynn in shock, she wasn't excepting to see Brayden in Kaitlynn's room, let alone in her bed, that too naked.

"Brayden?" Katherine asked confused.

"Hey Katherine" Brayden replied, laying on the bed and looking at the sisters in amusement.

"What are you doing in my sister's bed?" Katherine asked.

"Recovering from the banging sex we had" Brayden replied simply.

Kaitlynn put her hand over Brayden's mouth, muffling his laugh, "Please shut up" she said, she then turned to her shocked sister, "Did you need anything?".

"No, I just wanted to check on you, but I see that you're busy, I will come back later" Katherine said, leaving Kaitlynn rooms.

Kaitlynn finally removed her hand from Brayden's mouth, who started laughing, "God, you should have seen your face, you looked so mortified".

"It's not everyday your sister catches you in bed with a guy" Kaitlynn defended.

"You're adorable" Brayden said.

"I'm a vampire" Kaitlynn retorted.

"You're an adorable vampire" Brayden retorted back.

Kaitlynn playfully rolled her eyes at Brayden, "I don't have time for anymore of your nonsense, I need to get ready".

"So no morning sex?" Brayden teased, causing Kaitlynn to hit him with a pillow, making him let out a laugh.

"That's just creepy" Brayden complained, watching the scene in which Edward watched Bella while she slept.

"His a vampire" Caroline defended, eating sour patch kids.

Brayden looked at Caroline, "I'm a vampire, you never see me watching you sleep".

"I don't know that" Caroline teased.

Brayden scoffed, "If I watched you sleep, you would know".

"How?" Caroline asked.

"Because I would be in bed with you" Brayden replied.

"Vulgar" Caroline commented, her cheeks slightly red.

"Hey, I didn't mean anything by it, you're the one who has a dirty mind" Brayden teased.

"No I don't" Caroline protested.

"Yes you do" Brayden said, "Otherwise you wouldn't have turned red".

Caroline grabbed Brayden's pillow and hit him, "Shut up".

"Don't start something you won't be able to finish Forbes" Brayden warned, a playful tone in his voice.

"Why are you scared I will win?" Caroline teased, hitting Brayden with  the pillow again.

"That's it" Brayden said, grabbing a pillow and hitting Caroline, starting a pretty serious pillow fight between the two.

"Brayden!" Caroline laughed, running away from the Salvatore.

"You realise you can't run from me, right?" Brayden asked, as Caroline jumped on the bed, while Brayden was standing on the floor.

"I can, if I want to" Caroline replied, jumping off the bed and trying to escape Brayden, but before she could, Brayden wrapped his hand around Caroline's waist, and both of them fell on to the bed, with Caroline on top of Brayden.

"Hey" Brayden whispered, removing the hair from Caroline's face.

"Hey" Caroline whispered, her eyes flickering between Brayden's eyes and lips.

Subconsciously, Brayden's hand went behind Caroline's neck, and he slowly started leaning up while Caroline started leaning down, but as their mouths were about to touch, there was a loud knock on Brayden's bedroom door, causing Caroline to quickly realise what was happening and separate herself from Brayden.

Brayden frowned seeing Caroline move away from him like she was on fire, "Caroline--".

"You should check whose at the door" Caroline interrupted, not wanting to talk about what had just happened.

Brayden sighed but nonetheless nodded, he stood up and opened the door, only to see his twin brother standing on the other side.

"I'm here for the twilight marathon" Damon said, entering Brayden's room, looking around he was shocked seeing the state of the room, feathers were covering all of Brayden's bed, and both Caroline and Brayden and pieces of feathers stuck on them, "Did I miss something?".

"Uh", Caroline rubbed her neck in nervousness, "We had a pillow fight".

Damon looked between Brayden and Caroline, he could tell something else had happened between the two, but he also knew if he pushed his brother then he will most likely hit him before deciding to open up, so Damon decided to drop it, for now.

"Where's Vicki?" Brayden asked curiously.

"Occupied" Damon replied simply, not telling the duo that he had killed Vicki after seeing a photo of Katherine and Kaitlynn in Stefan's room, meaning Vicki was now in transition as she had died with Damon's blood in her system.

"Well, we are up to the second movie, you can join us" Caroline said.

"Let's see how bad they can make us look this time" Damon said laying on Brayden's bed.

"Really bad" Brayden commented, laying on the other side.

"Don't listen to him, his still upset about the whole sparkle thing" Caroline said, laying between the brothers.

"You know what, we will let Damon watch this and then we will see whose side his on" Brayden said.

"Deal" Caroline said.

"Oh I am so going to regret this" Damon mumbled.

And just like that, the moment between Caroline and Brayden was put under the covers,

"What the hell" Damon said shocked.

"Isn't that like wrong?" Brayden asked, equally as shocked, "Imprinting a baby?".

"It's very wrong" Damon replied.

"I hate it" Brayden said, "Twilight is shit".

"Oh come on" Caroline said, "I admit the last movie is a bit messed up, but the series overall isn't that bad".

"A bit bad?" Brayden and Damon asked simultaneously.

"The characters are boring, the plot is boring, the relationships are toxic, and most importantly, everything about vampires in that movie, is just not accurate" Brayden replied.

"What he said" Damon said, agreeing with his brother.

Before Caroline could defend twilight, a delusional Vicki entered Brayden's room.

"You killed me" Vicki accused Damon, shocking Caroline and Brayden.

"What?!" Caroline and Brayden asked.

"We were dancing--".

"Then I killed you" Damon finished, getting up, "You're dead".

"I'm dead" Vicki said shocked.

"Yeah but let's not make a big deal out of it, you drank my blood, I killed you" Damon said, "And now you have to feed in order to complete the process".

"You're wasted" Vicki said, still feeling a bit out of it.

"You don't wanna be out there all alone" Damon warned, as Vicki started to walk away but Damon quickly speeded infront of her, blocking her way, "You're about to get really freaky".

"Look, I had a really good time, I just really wanna go home" Vicki said.

"You're gonna start craving blood, until you get it, you're gonna feel very out of it, you have to be careful" Damon informed.

"Come on, move" Vicki said, shoving Damon to the side.

"See, you're already starting to fall apart" Damon said, watching Vicki stumble about.

"And I'm going home now" Vicki snapped.

"Okay, fine, I'm just warning you" Damon said, "Actually, you know what? You should go, in fact, if I were you, I would stop by your boyfriend Jeremy's house".

"Damon" Caroline warned.

"Yeah, whatever, bye" Vicki said, walking away.

"Tell Elena I said hi" Damon said.

"And if you see Stefan, tell him his time is running out" Brayden called out.

"So you both are just going to let her leave?" Caroline asked shocked.

"What else are we suppose to do?" Brayden asked, on his phone.

"I don't know, maybe make sure she doesn't hurt anyone" Caroline snapped.

"She's not even a vampire yet, she will be fine" Damon assured.

"How can you two be so calm about this?!" Caroline asked, "And what the hell are you even looking for on your phone Brayden?".

"A petition I can sign that will ban twilight from this world" Brayden replied.

"That's more important then Vicki?" Caroline asked.

"Yes" Both Damon and Brayden said.

"Unbelievable" Caroline whispered, "Damon, you turned Vicki into a vampire you need to help her".

"I can't help her Caroline" Damon said, "The suns still out".

"Once the sun is gone you two are going to help her" Caroline said sternly, "It's not fair to leave her alone in this, specially when it's your fault she's in this mess Damon".

Damon sighed, "Fine, I'll go find her once the sun sets, happy?".

"Very" Caroline replied.

"Are they seriously no petitions to ban twilight?" Brayden asked.

Caroline grabbed a packet of sour patch kids and threw it at Brayden, making Damon laugh.

"What was that for?" Brayden asked confused.

"For being a dick" Caroline replied.

Once it was finally dark outside, Damon and Brayden dropped Caroline at her house and decided to find their younger brother, which is why they were now at the Gilbert house looking for him.

Elena opened the door, but as soon as she saw Brayden and Damon, she immediately tried to close the door, but Damon easily pushed the door open.

"Jeremy, go upstairs" Elena demanded, Jeremy looked at Elena in confusion but nonetheless went up to his room.

"Would you look at that, you're afraid of me and my brother" Brayden observed.

"I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess" Damon said, "Stefan finally fessed up".

"Stay away from me" Elena warned.

"No one wants to be near you" Brayden snapped, making Elena frown.

"We are just looking for Stefan" Damon said, "May we come in?".

"Of course we can, we've been invited in" Brayden teased, as he and Damon stepped into the house, causing Elena to step back.

"We can cut to the chase if you want, I'm not gonna kill you right now, I can't say anything about Brayden though" Damon said, making Elena look at Brayden in fear while he simply gave her a mock wave, "Killing you wouldn't serve my greater agenda".

"It would mine though" Brayden interjected.

"Where's Stefan?" Damon asked.

"He's out looking for Vicki" Elena replied, glaring at the twins.

"Don't look at us with those judgey little eyes" Damon snapped, "Girl's gonna thank me for what I did to her".

"Did you both thank Katherine and Kaitlynn?" Elena asked.

"Got the whole life story, huh?" Damon asked, while Brayden glared at Elena.

"I got enough" Elena replied.

Suddenly, Brayden wrapped his hand around Elena's neck and slammed her to the wall, "You think you know everything about us, but you don't even know half of it, so let's not pretend that you do, and never, I mean never, take Kaitlynn's name from your mouth".

Brayden finally let go of Elena causing to fall into a coughing fit, "Caroline's going to hate you once she finds out the truth" Elena spat.

Brayden smirked, "We will see about that".

"Tell our brother that we are looking for him" Damon informed, grabbing Brayden by his shirt and dragging him out before he actually killed Elena.

"Tip for later Elena" Brayden said, before stepping out, "Be very careful who you let into your house".

Damon and Brayden arrived at the cemetery, just in time to see Logan Fell about to stake Stefan, Damon quickly speeded over to Logan and bit into his neck, while Brayden speeded over to Stefan.

Brayden took the bullets out of Stefan causing him to yell out in pain, "Wooden bullets" Brayden said.

"They know" Damon realised.

"If you're going to die because of anyone, it's going to be either me or Damon" Brayden told Stefan, "Now, where are our rings?".

Stefan took Brayden and Damon's rings out of his pocket and handed it to Brayden.

Brayden wore his ring, and threw Damon's to him, when suddenly the brothers heard someone feeding.

"No!" Stefan yelled, seeing Vicki feeding on a dead Logan, "No, Vicki".

Vicki looked at the brothers with a bloody mouth, "I'm sorry" she cried, before running away.

"Oops" Damon said simply.

Brayden patted Stefan's shoulder and stood up, when his eyes landed on a familiar compass by Logan's body, Brayden picked it up, and him and Damon speeded away.

Caroline came out of the bathroom, having changed into her pajamas, entering her room, Caroline saw Brayden laying on her bed.

"What are you doing here?" Caroline asked, slightly confused, "I thought you and Damon were getting your daylight rings back".

"We got them" Brayden said, showing Caroline his ring, "I needed to tell you something".

"What?" Caroline asked, laying next to Brayden.

"Elena knows" Brayden replied, "About vampires, about me and my brothers".

"Stefan told her?" Caroline asked shocked.

"I'm guessing" Brayden replied, "But Caroline, I don't want Elena to know that you know about us".

"Why not?" Caroline asked confused.

"Because you don't believe that her and Bonnie are horrible friends to you, so I'm going to prove it to you" Brayden replied.

"And how's that?" Caroline asked.

"If Elena is your true friend, then she will tell you what I am" Brayden replied, "Specially since in her eyes, we are dating, and I'm the evil brother, real friends don't let friends date bad guys".
