09. Homecoming

"Alright, let's say Mikael followed Elena in here, he tried to grab her so he could use her as bait" Stefan said, walking into the living room with Damon, Brayden and Elena.

"Why the hell is she involved in this plan?" Brayden asked, glaring at Elena.

"Because she is important to Klaus" Damon replied, "He needs her blood and it will make sense for Mikael to go after her then anyone else in this town".

"If she screws this plan up, it's on you" Brayden snapped.

Elena rolled her eyes at Brayden and turned to Stefan, "And you, what, vervained him?" she asked.

"No, we vervained him, guy's an Original" Damon reminded, "We have to make it realistic".

"Alright, so us three Salvatore brothers came together and vervained Mikael, and in that process we discovered a certain dagger in Papa Original's pocket" Brayden said.

"Which he planned to use on Rebekah, but instead--".

"We drove it through his heart" Stefan finished Elena's sentence.

"And what happens when he asks to see Mikael's body?" Elena asked.

"Good point", Damon looked at his brothers, "You my brothers have been compelled to do what Klaus says, so if the idea is to lure him back here and kill him that last thing we need is you two getting tripped up and tongue-tied".

"Hey, our job is only to get Klaus back into town" Brayden said, "The rest is on you guys".

"Klaus is smart, if we tell him that Mikael's dead, he'll want proof" Elena said.

"Then I shall be dead" Mikael stated, entering the room, and placing the dagger and some white oak ash on to the table.

"And what happens when Klaus asks to see your dead body in person?" Brayden asked.

"Well it means our plan is working" Mikael replied, "Klaus will absolutely want to see my body, you lure him here, and I will kill him".

"With what?" Stefan asked, "Those daggers won't work on him".

"Oh, I am in possession of a stake fashioned from the wood of the ancient white oak tree" Mikael informed, "The one that left these ashes when it burned".

"Where is it?" Damon asked curiously.

"Not here" Mikael replied, dipping the dagger into the ash, "Knowing its location is my insurance policy".

"Against what?" Stefan asked confused.

"You leaving this in my heart" Mikael replied, gesturing towards the dagger in his hand, "You see, a vampire can't dagger an Original without dying", Mikael turned to Elena, "So it falls to you", Mikael handed the dagger to Elena.

"You want me to actually dagger you?" Elena asked shocked.

"Clearly someone wasn't listening to what he has been saying this whole time" Brayden said, making Elena glare at him.

"Klaus will leave nothing to chance, especially when it comes to trust" Mikael said.

Elena nodded and then plunged the dagger into Mikael's heart, while the brothers watched.

"Portland is fantastic, once you get over the whiney music and healthy looking people" Klaus said, as soon as he answered Brayden's call, "It's literally a breeding ground for werewolves".

"Your father is dead, Klaus" Brayden informed, getting straight to the point.

"What did you say to me?" A shocked Klaus asked.

"Mikael, your not so real father" Brayden reminded, "Though he's not dead, dead, he's daggered dead, my plan was to throw his body into the quarry but Stefan said I'm supposed to ask you what to do with Mikael's body, so tell me, what do you want us to do with it?".

"Well, first, I want you to explain to me exactly what happen" Klaus replied, apprehensive of believing Brayden's words.

"Mikael followed Elena, he somehow found out about Elena's blood being the key to your hybrids so he tired to grab her and use her as bait to lure you back into town" Brayden said, "It was hard but somehow me, Stefan and Damon managed to vervain him and while we were fighting a sliver dagger fell from his pocket, guessing he wanted to use that on Rebekah, but unfortunately for him and fortunately for you, once Mikael was weak Elena ended up daggering him".

"I wanna see him, I want to see his rotting body" Klaus stated, "For myself".

"Well, currently his rotting body is in our living room" Brayden informed, looking at Mikael's desiccated body, "You're free to visit whenever you want to".

"If you're lying to me, Brayden, your compulsion will expose you" Klaus warned, "So answer with your life, is what you're saying the truth?".

"It's the truth" Brayden assured, "I saw Elena dagger Mikael with my own eyes".

"I want to talk to Rebekah" Klaus demanded.

"No problem at all" Brayden said, turning around and facing Rebekah, who was now part of the plan after finding out that Klaus was the one who killed her mother and not Mikael.

Rebekah took the phone from Brayden, "Hello, Nik" she greeted.

"Rebekah, love" Klaus greeted, "What's this I hear about Mikael's tragic run-in with a dagger?".

"It's true" Rebekah assured, "He's finally out of our lives for good, I miss you, I'm miserable here".

"I'll be home soon" Klaus promised.

"Good" Rebekah said, "I'll see you then, brother", after hanging up on her brother, Rebekah handed the phone back to Brayden, "He bought it, he's coming home".

"Now, was that easy or what?" Damon asked, after Rebekah had walked out the room.

"Did you tell the girls everything?" Brayden asked Damon.

Damon nodded, "Kaitlynn, Fae and Caroline are all informed and they are all ready for tonight".

"Great, let's get this over and done with then shall we?" Brayden asked.

Elena nodded, she bent down and pulled the dagger out of Mikael's chest.

"So you trust that Rebekah isn't going to turn on us?" Kaitlynn asked Damon, as both of them stood in Damon's bathroom, preparing the weapons for tonight.

"Yeah, because those Original vampires are usually so reliable" Damon replied, sarcasm evident in his voice.

"So you don't trust her?" Kaitlynn asked.

"Nope" Damon replied.

"So what are we going to do about her?" Kaitlynn asked, knowing that Damon wouldn't just leave a liability.

"We are not going to do anything" Damon replied, "Elena wanted to be on Rebekah duty, so I let her".

"Elena?" Kaitlynn asked shocked, "You think she can handle Rebekah?".

Damon shrugged, "We are going to find out tonight".

"Fair enough" Kaitlynn said, "But you do realise that there is a lot of loopholes in this plan, right?".

"Well, I am formulating a secret contingency plan" Damon assured.

"And what is that plan?" Kaitlynn asked curiously.

"Well, if I told you, it wouldn't be a secret" Damon replied, gesturing towards the door.

Kaitlynn looked at Damon in confusion, but the confusion was cleared when Brayden entered the room, making Kaitlynn realise that Damon didn't want his twin brother to find out about his secret plan.

"I need a tie" Brayden said.

"You have your own ties" Damon reminded.

"None of my ties are doing it for me" Brayden said, "They don't scream homecoming".

"Well, if your ties aren't cooperating, how about you stay home tonight?" Kaitlynn offered.

"Tempting offer but I'm going to have to reject it" Brayden replied, he then looked at what his brother and Kaitlynn were making, "Wolfsbane grenades, how lovely" he mumbled, "Please don't tell me this isn't your only plan to attack Klaus and his minions?".

"Never you mind brother, the less you know, the better" Damon replied.

"I want to be freed from Klaus" Brayden snapped, "And the only way I will be able to do that is if you guys execute your plan properly, and I know this might hurt, but I don't trust you two and your ability to make sure the plan goes perfectly well".

"It's not us you should be worried about, it's you and Stefan that are more of a liability then us" Kaitlynn said, "Klaus asks any of you one right question, and this whole plan falls apart".

"Let me enlighten you about something Kait, till this day none of my plans have ever failed, because I know how to separate my emotions from my plans, my brothers however do not" Brayden said, "They have a tendency to let their humanity get in the way of doing what they are supposed to be doing, and if I'm going to take a guess, tonight it's more likely that you guys will screw up then me or Stefan, now excuse me, I'm going grab one of Stefan's tie, I'll see you two at homecoming".

Caroline, Fae and Kaitlynn entered Tyler's house together, where homecoming was being held since the school gym had flooded.

"How did he plan a better party than me so fast?" Caroline asked, looking around in shock, "Wait, is that a band outside?".

"That's not the question you should be asking Caroline" Kaitlynn said, looking around and seeing so many unknown faces, "You should be asking who the hell are all those people around us?".

"They're definitely not school students" Fae said, "Where the hell is Tyler? I have some serious questions for him".

"You look for Tyler, I'm going to look for some drinks" Kaitlynn said.

"I'm coming with you" Caroline told Kaitlynn.

And with that the three girls split up, with Fae going to find Tyler, and Kaitlynn and Caroline hoping to find something stronger then fruit punch.

Stefan and Brayden walked in the Lockwood's backyard, where the crowd was busy cheering the live band on.

"Hey, Stefan, Brayden, what's up?" Tyler greeted, walking over to the brothers.

"Hey Tyler, nice party you got going on here" Stefan praised.

"Thanks, but I'm not the one throwing it, I'm just doing what Klaus wants" Tyler informed.

"What are you on about?" Brayden asked confused.

"It's not a party man, it's a wake" Tyler replied.

Just as Tyler said that, the two brothers saw Klaus walk on stage and address the crowd.

"Good evening, everyone" Klaus said into the microphone, "I wanna thank you all for being here with me to celebrate, it's been a long time coming".

Seeing Klaus's smug face caused Brayden to roll his eyes and walk away from Tyler and his brother.

Before Tyler could walk away, Stefan quickly grabbed his arm, "Do me a favor Tyler, get Fae out of here" he said.

"What?" Tyler asked confused.

"Don't ask questions" Stefan snapped, "If you really care about Fae, get her out of here, she can't be here with things go down".

Tyler looked at Stefan in confusion, but nonetheless nodded in understanding.

"Isn't all of this a little too extra?" Brayden asked, walking over to Klaus.

"I've been planning my father's funeral for a thousand years" Klaus said, "Granted, in no version of it were these people invited, but you get the idea".

"So what happens now?" Brayden asked curiously, "What happens once you see your father's body?".

"Now I reunite my family" Klaus informed.

Brayden looked at Klaus in slight shock, "Your family?" he asked, "As in--?".

"As in, I'm going to wake Kol up" Klaus finished.

"I want to be there when he and the rest of your siblings kick your ass for carting them around in caskets" Brayden said.

"None of that matters anymore, Mikael's gone" Klaus said, "Bygones will be bygones", Klaus's eyes landed on a girl, who was wearing the homecoming crown, "Seems the homecoming queen still walks among the living which leads me to believe Rebekah isn't here, where is she?".

"I don't know, and I'm going to be completely honest with you, I really don't care" Brayden said honestly, just as his eyes landed on Caroline, "Now excuse me, I've got someone to see, my brother will take you to your father".

Before Klaus could stop him, Brayden had walked away from him and towards Caroline.

Caroline was watching the live band play, when she felt a familiar presence behind her.

"How can I help you Brayden?" Caroline asked.

"You shouldn't be here, Caroline" Brayden said.

Caroline turned to face Brayden, a mischievous glint in her eyes, "Is that worry I sense in your voice?".

Brayden shook his head at the girl infront of him, "For once in your life, don't be an idiot" he said, "Things are going to get messy, be smart and go home".

Caroline smiled, "It feels good to know that you care" she said.

Brayden rolled his eyes at Caroline, "It's like I'm talking to a brick wall" he mumbled.

Realising Caroline wasn't going to listen to him, Brayden turned to leave, but before he could, Caroline grabbed his hand, stopping him from walking away, "Dance with me" she said.

"What?" Brayden asked, not sure if he heard Caroline correctly.

"Dance with me" Caroline repeated.

"You've lost your mind" Brayden stated.

"Come on Brayden, one dance won't kill you" Caroline said.

For a moment Brayden just looked at Caroline, then he nodded, making a huge smile form on Caroline's face.

Caroline grabbed Brayden's hand and dragged him towards the dance floor, and just to their luck currently the live band was playing a slow song.

Brayden wrapped his arm around Caroline's waist and intertwined his other hand with Caroline's, he pulled Caroline closer to him, leaving absolutely no space between the two, and both the soulmates slowly started swaying to the music.

Caroline put her head on Brayden's shoulder and took in his scent, she had missed Brayden so much, she had missed them so much.

"I missed this" Caroline whispered, "I missed you".

"I've been here the whole time" Brayden whispered back.

"You've been near me, but not with me" Caroline corrected.

"It's better this way" Brayden said.

Caroline lifted her head up and looked into Brayden's eyes, "For who?" she asked.

"For everyone" Brayden replied.

"Screw everyone" Caroline said, "Look into my eyes right now and tell me that staying away from me is better for you".

"I never said it was better for me" Brayden whispered.

"You said everyone, you come in the everyone category" Caroline pointed out.

Brayden sighed, "Caroline, my head isn't in the right place to be having this conversation with you" he said.

"Why?" Caroline asked, "Because talking about us makes you feel things?".

"You just don't give up, do you?" Brayden asked.

Caroline shook her head, "I get that from my very stubborn soulmate".

Brayden rolled his eyes, "I'm not stubborn" he mumbled.

Caroline chuckled, "Trust me, you are" she said.

"Okay, you know what, I'm going to go find myself a strong drink" Brayden said, stepping away from Caroline.

"And I'm going to wait for you to come back to me" Caroline said.

Brayden looked at Caroline, who was already staring at him with a smile on her face, after a moment Brayden shook his head and walked away from Caroline, being near Caroline messed with Brayden's head way too much for his liking.

"This better be important" Fae said, as Tyler led her into the Lockwood's study.

"What are you guys up to with Klaus?" Tyler asked, getting straight to the point.

"Nothing that concerns you, Tyler" Fae simply said.

"He's onto you, Fae" Tyler informed, "Whatever you all think you're about to pull off, he's two steps ahead of you".

"We know what we're doing Tyler, you should just stay out of it" Fae said.

"No, you don't know what you are doing" Tyler snapped, "You won't be able to hurt him, Fae".

Fae scoffed, "Watch me" she said.

Fae turned to leave the study, but before she could could, Tyler had speeded behind her and injected her with a fair amount of vervain, which ended up knocking the heretic out.

Damon, Caroline and Kaitlynn stood hidden in the side, they watched as Klaus walked over to the front door, where Mikael awaited him.

"Hello, Niklaus" Mikael greeted.

"Hello, Mikael" Klaus greeted, "Won't you come in? Oh, that's right, I forgot, you can't".

"Or you can come outside if you want" Mikael said.

"Or I could watch my hybrids tear you limb from limb" Klaus threatened.

Just as Klaus said that, a bunch of his hybrids appeared behind Mikael, ready to attack him as soon Klaus orders them to.

"They can't kill me" Mikael reminded.

"Ture, but it'd make a hell of a party game" Klaus said, lifting two of his fingers up, "All I have to do is rub these two fingers together, and they'll pounce".

"The big bad wolf" Mikael taunted, "You haven't changed, still hiding behind your playthings like a coward, oh, and you forget, they may be sired by you, but they're still part vampire, and they can be compelled by me", suddenly one of Klaus's hybrids brought Elena and shoved her into Mikael's hands, however unknown to both Mikael and Klaus, the girl currently standing infront of them wasn't Elena, it was Katherine, "Come out and face me, Niklaus, or she dies" Mikael threatened.

"Go ahead, kill her" Klaus spat.

"No, Klaus, he'll do it" Katherine cried, pretending to be a terrified Elena.

"If she dies, this lot will be the last of your abominations" Mikael warned.

"I don't need them, I just need to be rid of you" Klaus snapped.

"To what end, Niklaus?" Mikael asked, "So you can live forever, with no one at your side? Nobody cares about you anymore, boy! Who do you have, other than those whose loyalty you've forced? No one, no one!".

"I'm calling your bluff, father, kill her" Klaus demanded, Mikael's words hurting him much more then he showed.

"Come outside and face me, you little coward, and I won't have to" Mikael said.

"My whole life, you've underestimated me" Klaus snapped, "If you kill her, you lose your leverage, so go ahead, go on, kill her, come on, old man, kill her, kill her!".

Mikael suddenly started chuckling, "Ah, your impulse, Niklaus" he taunted, "It has, and will forever be, the one thing, that keeps you from truly being great".

Klaus looked on shock as Mikael actually ended up stabbing Katherine, who was Elena in his eyes.

Before Klaus could recover from the shock, Damon speeded behind him and ended up stabbing him in the stomach with the white oak stake and pushed him on to the floor.

Mikael watched in shock as Katherine stood up, like nothing ever happened to her, that's when he realised he didn't stab Elena, "Katherine" he whispered.

Katherine gave Mikael a smirk, she then turned to all of Klaus's hybrids, just as Kaitlynn and Caroline speeded over to her, all three girls having wolfsbane grenades in their hands.

"Ka-boom" Katherine said, as all three girls threw the grenades towards the hybrids, temporarily making them useless.

On the other hand, Damon took the white oak stake out of Klaus's stomach, just as he was about to stab him in the heart, he was suddenly shoved off of Klaus by Brayden, the white oak stake falling from his hand.

"What are you doing?!" A shocked Damon asked.

"Saving your ass" Brayden snapped.

Caroline and Kaitlynn went to help Damon but Stefan quickly speeded over to them and grabbed the two girls.

Klaus grabbed the white oak stake and charged at his father, successfully stabbing his father in the heart, killing him once and for all.

"Run" Stefan whispered to a shocked Kaitlynn and Caroline.

Caroline looked towards Brayden who nodded at her, telling her to run, so both Kaitlynn and Caroline used their vampire speed to quickly leave the premise.

"What the hell did you two do?!" Damon snapped, seeing Mikael's body burning.

"They've earned their freedom" Klaus said, walking back towards the brothers.

Brayden let of Damon and looked towards Klaus, taking the opportunity Damon quickly speeded away, knowing if he stayed any longer, Klaus would more then likely end up murdering him, "Thank you, my friends" Klaus told both Stefan and Brayden, "You two no longer have to do as I say, you're free".

Once the compulsion had been lifted, both Brayden and Stefan breathed sigh of reliefs, once they realised that they were no longer at the mercy of Klaus, however both the brothers knew by saving Klaus's life, they had possibly jeopardised their relationship with their elder brother forever.

Fae groaned and slowly opened her eyes, immediately realising she was in a unknown place, causing her to quickly sit up in panic, but the panic reduced when she saw a photo of Tyler and his mom on the side table, making Fae realise she was in Tyler's room. Remembering what Tyler did, immediately caused the feeling of panic to be replaced with immense anger.

Tyler entered his room and smiled seeing Fae awake, "Are you okay?" he asked.

Fae glared at hybrid, "What do you think, Tyler?" she snapped.

"I'm sorry I stabbed you" Tyler apologised, "Only thing I could think of to get you away from there".

"That wasn't your choice to make" Fae snapped, pushing the blanket away from and getting off the bed.

"You know, instead of getting mad at me, you should be talking to Stefan about this" Tyler said.

Fae looked at Tyler in confusion, "Where did Stefan come from in this?" she asked.

"He's the one who told me to get you out of there" Tyler revealed.

"Stefan?" Fae asked shocked, "Stefan asked you to get me out of there?".

Tyler nodded, "He told me to get you out of the party, he didn't want you to be there when everything went down".

Fae sighed, "God, these Salvatore brothers are so damn confusing" she complained, making Tyler chuckle, "Don't chuckle" Fae snapped, "This does not mean I've forgiven you, you don't just vervain people like that".

"I was just looking out for you Fae" Tyler defended.

"And I appericate that, but what you and Stefan need to realise that I don't need either of you to look out for me" Fae said, "I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself".

Before Tyler could say anything else to her, Fae grabbed her clutch, that was placed on the side table and walked out the room, feeling extremely frustrated with both Stefan and Tyler.

"Caroline is safely home" Kaitlynn informed, entering the Salvatore's living room, where an angry Damon stood near the fire, "And Fae just called, turns out Tyler had kept her away from the chaos because Stefan told him".

"We thought of everything, Kaitlynn" Damon snapped, "Klaus having hybrids, Mikael turning on us, we brought in Katherine, anything that could've gone wrong, we were prepared!".

"Something doesn't add up here Damon, out of everyone it was Stefan and Brayden who wanted Klaus dead the most, especially Brayden" Kaitlynn said.

"We blew it" Damon said.

Kaitlynn sighed, "Have you seen my sister anywhere?" she asked, not having seen Katherine since Klaus killed Mikael.

"She ran for the hills, like usual" Damon replied, "The minute things got bad, and who blames her? Klaus would have crushed her, I had him Kaitlynn, I had Klaus, this could have all been over", Damon threw his bottle of bourbon into the fire.

"Damon" Kaitlynn called out, walking over to the oldest Salvatore, she forced Damon to face her, "It's going to be okay, we'll survive this, we always do".

Damon stared at Kaitlynn for a moment, "We're never getting Stefan and Brayden back".

Kaitlynn shook her head, "That's not true Damon" she said, "They'll come back, they have to".

"How are you so sure?" Damon asked confused.

"Because I know that they love you" Kaitlynn replied, "I don't know if they will come back for Fae or Caroline, but I know they will come back for their brother, they always do".

For a second Damon and Kaitlynn stood there, staring at each other, before any of them could say or do anything, the ringing of Kaitlynn's phone brought them out of their trance.

Kaitlynn quickly stepped away from Damon and took her phone out of her pocket, "Hello sister" she answered, realising Katherine was calling her, "I'm assuming you're on the other side of the earth right now?".

"Yeap" Katherine replied, driving away in her car, "I just called to say goodbye to you Kait, I don't know what to tell you guys, you had a good plan Kaitlynn, and that's high praise coming from me".

"Not going to lie Katherine, right now, your words really did not comfort me" Kaitlynn said, "Are you back to hiding from Klaus?".

"At least my life's not boring" Katherine replied, "Goodbye, sister".

"Take care of yourself" Kaitlynn said.

After hanging up on Kaitlynn, Katherine turned to the person who was sitting in her passenger seat, "None of them know where it all went wrong" she said.

Brayden looked out the window, "None of them need to know anything".

"Are you good from here?" Katherine asked, stopping her car, "I need to put a million miles between myself and Klaus as soon as possible".

"I'm good, Stefan's meeting me somewhere here" Brayden said, "Question before I go, how did you know that I would save Damon's life?".

"I didn't" Katherine admitted, "I was just hoping that you would want to".

After his and Caroline's dance, Brayden needed to get his head straight so he quickly went upstairs knowing no one was allowed there, as Brayden was passing the master bedroom, someone suddenly grabbed his arm and pulled him into the room.

"What the hell?!" Brayden snapped, realising it was Katherine who had pulled him into the room.

"Don't talk just listen" Katherine said, "We've only got a minute before they realise I'm not at the party".

"What do you want?" Brayden asked, in no mood to deal with Katherine.

"If Klaus gets killed, he's taking Damon down with him" Katherine revealed.

"So tell them to cancel the plan" Brayden said, not knowing why Katherine was telling him this and not the others.

"And face the wrath of Mikael?" Katherine asked, "We'll all be dead, okay look, I know you've turned off your humanity and that you don't care so there's only one solution".

"Which is what exactly?" Brayden asked confused.

"Care, Brayden" Katherine replied, "Care enough to save Damon's life, because I am going back to that party and I am seeing this plan through, Klaus will be killed, and we'll have our freedom, but then Damon will be dead, your twin brother will be dead, Brayden, unless you care enough to do something about it".

"You've hated Klaus longer then any of us" Brayden said, "Why did you risk your freedom for Damon's life?".

"I wasn't just trying to save Damon's life, Brayden" Katherine defended, "I was trying to save yours and Stefan's as well, your guys humanity, even though old you wasn't nice to me, I still prefer him then this version of you".

Brayden chuckled, "Why are you lying for Katherine?" he asked, "Everyone knows that Katherine Pierce doesn't care for anyone but herself".

"You and I both know that is not true" Katherine said, "Even though you never loved me, but I loved you, I loved Stefan and Damon too, humanity is a vampire's greatest weakness, no matter how easy it is to turn it off it just keeps trying to fight its way back in", Katherine glanced at Brayden, "Sometimes I let it".

"Letting all those emotions back in isn't an option for me" Brayden said, "If I do, I'm afraid I won't be able handle everything I did".

"If you don't let yourself feel you won't be able to do what I need you and Stefan to do next" Katherine said.

"And what is it that you want us to do?" Brayden asked confused.

"Get mad" Katherine replied.

Brayden entered the house in which Stefan was in, just in time to see his brother call Klaus.

"Stefan, miss me already?" Klaus asked, answering the phone.

"I'm just calling to thank you for mine and my brother's freedom" Stefan replied.

"Well, I like to believe I'm a man of my word, more or less" Klaus said.

Brayden snatched the phone from Stefan's hand, "Yeah but there's a slight problem Klaus" he said, "Our freedom came with a pretty high price, we lost the girls we love and our own brother hates us now, everyone we care about has given up on us, because of you".

"Let bygones be bygones, trust me resentment gets old" Klaus said, walking over to the truck in which his family's coffins were placed in.

"Maybe, but I know something that never seems to get old" Brayden said, just as Klaus opened the truck and realised his whole family was missing, "It's the sweet feeling of revenge".

"No" Klaus said, realising what the brothers did.

"What's the matter, Klaus?" Stefan asked, taking the phone from Brayden, "Missing something?".

"What are you two doing?" Klaus asked.

"We're just enjoying our freedom" Stefan replied.

"I will kill both of you and everyone you've ever met" Klaus threatened.

"You do that, and you will never see your family again" Stefan warned.

"Tell me something Klaus, for a thousand years you've always been one step ahead of everyone" Brayden said, as Stefan put the phone on speaker, "Were you prepared for two baby vampires to outsmart you like this?".

Before Klaus could say anything, Stefan hanged up on him, the two brothers glanced at each other, and then at the four coffins surrounding them, Katherine's words had worked, Brayden and Stefan Salvatore had gotten mad and now they wanted revenge for everything Klaus took from them.
