2 Weeks Later - Hiro's POV

I laid on my bed while listlessly staring at the ceiling as I thought. Something's off, yet for the life of me I can't figure out what.

She moves slower but barely. She's paler to the point of it almost being unnoticeable.

However, the most concerning thing is that she doesn't become irritated with me. In fact, she doesn't say anything unless absolutely necessary.

I wish she just tell me whatever the f*ck is wrong but she'd honestly sew her mouth shut herself before confiding in others. I sighed and sat up slowly with a lot of effort.

"Sir, Subject 'Komori Yui's' heart rate has dangerously spiked suddenly. It's higher than the normal spike." I groaned after the voice in my ear ceased to speak.

"Why aren't you alerting Amare of this? She would have no issue dealing with this."

I honestly just don't want deal with the annoying a** human. I'd probably kill her than save her not that I would mind.

"She is currently unavailable."

"Unavailable? She would only be unavailable if she was forcibly uncon...scious. Sh*t."

I jumped off the bed to go find her without wasting another second and ran out the room.

It only took me about 3 minutes of speeding through the big a** mansion before I found who I was looking for. What I saw nearly tore my heart in two.

My amare laid face down on the ground completely unconscious while the human was trying to wake her by shaking her with tears streaming down her face.

"Kaori-san?! Kaori-san?! Please wake up, Kaori-san!"

I didn't even realize that I was already by her side on my knees and was reaching out to Amare.

I tried everything. I shook her. I spoke to her. I even tried kissing her in vain hope that she would react like always but that too failed. I picked her up silently and held her to my chest tightly.

"M Neko-chan~, why are you cry- What happened to S Neko-chan?!"

I ignored his words as I smelled a familiar scent and ran towards it. He can help! He can save my amare! He has to!

Eventually, I ended up in the main hall and say Commander standing the open entrance. I didn't even question his presence as I made my way to him.

"Help her!"

"..."

"Why aren't you doing anything?! Do something! Anything! Please!"

He still remained silent and simply look at my looked at me with blank eyes. He sighed and began to move to the side.

"I can't do anything...but he can." By stepping out the way, he revealed the presence of Karlheinz.

"Calm down, Hiro." Karlheinz reached out to take her but I held her away on reflex and he chuckled at my reaction.

"Relax. I only mean to help." I was still reluctant until Commander spoke up coldly.

"Listen to him unless you want her to die." I was silent for a few more seconds without moving and placed a kiss on her temple. Reluctantly, I carefully handed Amare over to him.

"Hurt her and you'll wish for death."

"Don't worry. I only want to help."

He carried her over to the couch and told his sons that I hadn't even notice had appeared to move.

They obeyed immediately and stood off to they side near where the others were sitting. She laid her down gently and simply placed his hand on her forehead.

The entire room was silent as he stood as still as a statue while nothing happened. What the h*ll is he doing? He's just wasting time when she could get proper help.

I was about to yell at him until I was unexpectedly blinded and I shut my eyes on reflex. The light lasted for roughly 10 seconds and then I was able to open my eyes.

"What the f*ck was th-"

My question was cut off by my Amare being nowhere to be seen. I look around the room frantically and rushed to the couch in hope that this was some kind of sick joke.

All that was there was her armlet that rested where she was a few moments ago. My shaking hands reached out for it and I held it close to my chest with my head down.

A hand was placed on my shoulder, but I roughly threw it off.

"WHERE IS SHE?!"

No response. Karlheinz remained silent with a stoic face. I turned away from him and dropped to my knees.

She can't be gone. She's supposed to be here with me like always. Weren't we supposed to be together for eternity. Wasn't I meant to love you forever.

Ne, Amare...

I waited for her to say something in reply but I only heard stone silence. By now tears were streaming down my face freely and onto the ground as I quietly cried.

Please come back! Don't leave me! I can't live without you, please! I'll do anything so just please come back to me!

I heard muddled whispers behind me between Commander and Karlheinz and I slowly raised my tear stained face.

"Commander, can't you do something about this? Can't you bring her back?"

He shook his head and was about to reply until Karlheinz interrupted.

"I wouldn't prolong this event too long, Hybrid. Even more so since the human you know as Muto Kaori...is gone."
