Hiro's POV
~~~~~~~~~~~
"Finish this quickly." After those words left my mouth, I grabbed the girl and teleported to somewhere secure.
I heard a slight thud and turned my head towards the cause. 'Yui' was sitting down on the ground and was shaking. Weak. She's nothing like my amare.
I heard footsteps approach and didn't bother to turn. At least she listened to my words. I felt her standing near me and I looked at her.
The sun was just barely beginning to rise and the sun shined in a way that made her hair appear to be many colors.
Her silver eyes reflected the light as if nothing in this world could hide from her sight. She looked...beautiful.
Before I even realized it, my hands reached out and wrapped my arms around her. I hugged her to my body and cradled her head against my chest while my other hand rested on her lower back.
I leaned back slightly; just enough to allow our faces to be seen by each other.
I thought I was imagining her face coming closer until I felt her hands press against my chest and leaned forwards. My eyes fell onto her lips and I leaned forward as well.
Just as our lips were about to touch,...
...I suddenly felt my feet leave the ground and I was being flipped. I landed flat on my back and groaned after impact.
"Get up, Yui. You have class."
I heard her began to walk away and another pair of lighter steps following suit. I chuckled lightly and looked up at the sky. She never changes, does she?
I stood up and dusted off my clothes. Once I was done, I looked up and smirked.
A certain lazy vampire was staring out window looking down at me out of the corner of his eye; apparently having seen what had happened.
I threw him a small wave and turned to walk away.
I see you really are dangerous to leave alone for too long, amare. Look at the trouble your causing for me. Now I have to deal with another guy vying for your heart; maybe several.
This battle for your heart will certainly be a bloody one but the last survivor will be me. After all, you're mine for eternity.
I walked through the entrance and headed to class unaware of what my face had turned into.
Shu's POV
~~~~~~~~~~
What the h*ll happened to Kaori? After she had collapsed and Hiro had taken to the her to the infirmary, class had continued again somehow.
Usually, I would be ignoring the lesson and listen to music but I couldn't even keep my thoughts together.
Kaori isn't a weak person to collapse like this. Something's not right. D*mmit woman. You better be okay. You don't get to walk away like this after doing this to me of all people in this world.
I was so lost in my own world that I hardly noticed that class was almost over until something outside caught my attention.
I looked out through the window and saw none other than Hiro and Yui were outside the school; but there was no Kaori.
A few minutes later, Kaori walked out to them; looking completely fine. One minute she looks like she's dying, the next, it looks like she's on a relaxing stroll.
I kept my eyes trained on her and noticed that her hair looked like several colors in the morning sun.
What a stunning sight. Apparently, I wasn't the only one who felt that since that boy wrapped his arms around her and held her to his chest.
I had to catch myself from jumping out the window and ripping them apart.
I thought with her personality that she would have injured him immediately but she took me by complete surprise with her next actions.
Instead of separating, like she should've, she placed her hands against his chest leaned into him. Their lips kept becoming closer and closer until they were only a centimeter apart.
I swear, if you kiss him, there will only be h*ll to pay. My worries soon became unneeded as Hiro was suddenly lying on the ground and Kaori was walking away with Yui chasing after.
I breathed a sigh of relief and let out a small chuckle at the hybrid with his back flat against the ground. My amusement was cut short as I saw that he was laughing as well.
He stood up and dusted the dirt off of himself. Suddenly, out of nowhere he looked up and smirked at me.
I continued to watch him through my side glance as he waved at me and walked back into the building.
I sighed and turned away from the window. It won't matter. In the end, she'll be mine.
01's POV
~~~~~~~~~
I dropped Yui off back at her class and decided to go to the library. If I went back to class so soon, it'll expose the ruse of my 'condition'.
I doubt the library is occupied at the moment and if at at all it's only by a few. It'll be useful as a hideout for now.
As I entered, my thoughts turned out to be correct. Not a soul could be found in the gigantic room. I ventured to the back and found a wall fully lined with windows.
I sat on one of the windowsills and leaned back. At least it's quiet. I looked out the window and watched the sun rise; lighting a colorful array of clouds in the sky.
Ruki's POV
~~~~~~~~~~~
First period was over and Kou was driving me nuts.
"Ne, Ruki, do you think S Neko-chan is okay?"
"I don't kno-"
"She's okay, right?! She has to be! There's no way she's hurt, right?!"
"Calm dow-"
"I mean there's absolutely no way that S Neko-chan would just collapse like that! What if she's dead?! Maybe she's gone forev-"
"Be quiet." I uncovered my hand from his mouth and walked away to find somewhere quiet. And, I knew just the place.
Honestly, I don't understand what's got Kou so worked up about that human. She's merely food to our kind; nothing more.
Eventually, I found my way to the library and searched for a new book. I headed to the back where the historical fiction books were located.
Instead of finding a new book, I found the very human Kou was losing his mind about. She was sitting on the ledge of one of the windows and was watching the sky outside.
It seemed she didn't notice me as she kept her eyes out the window. I examined her and found nothing worth my attention.
I was about to carry on until a glint in her direction caught my eye. I glanced at her once more and found the sun shining in her eyes.
Such silver. A rare trait must I say. I didn't really notice that I was stating until her voice brought me out of my thoughts.
"Keep staring. Your eyes will roll out."
I blinked and walked to the book case and took out a book I wanted.
"A bit conceited, aren't you? Who ever said I was looking at you specifically? You weren't even looking at me."
She didn't respond and kept her eyes trained on the low sun as if she never heard me. I turned around, with the book in hand, and walked out of the library.
That was a complete waste of time. I still don't understand what interests Kou so much for his behavior earlier. Though, I do have one thing I want to figure out myself.
What dark secret lies behind those silver eyes?
