01's POV - 1 week later
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Another week had passed of guarding the girl. It was mainly uneventful except for the occasional attempt of biting her. Though, both parties are to blame.

I'm seriously wondering if Yui's IQ is only a single digit. She practically begging to be bit without realizing it whatsoever.

I mean, when I was walking her to her class, one of the bloodsuckers said he was thirsty and she got him coffee. What the f*ck?

Needless to say, he got pissed off and I dragged her away before blood was spilt. Today is Friday and finally the end of a long week has come.

Time skip - School

I sat at my desk and class hasn't begun yet. I did a quick scan around the classroom and my eyes fell on a pair of blue ones.

Shu just kept staring but I moved on after 5 seconds. The teacher finally arrived and I tuned out his voice. I heard the door open again but my eyes were kept close.

I felt someone come closer to me but I didn't move. Suddenly, my shirt was grabbed and my lips were being kissed.

I shoved them off and they laughed. It's somewhat sad I could recognize this person solely by their lips. They've done it enough times in the past and he's the only one that could survive after doing so.

"I see your the same as always, amare. It's been awhile."

God, I hate this guy. "Not long enough, Hiro."

"Ah, your words wound me. And, I came here just to see you. It's been boring without you being near me."

He ran a hand through his hairs and gave a smirk. All the girls in the class squealed. Some even fainted.

"D*mn, he's hot!"

"I would kill for him to be my boyfriend!"

"He must be amazing in bed!"

"He has such pretty eyes! I wonder happened to his right one."

That, I can explain. About 3 years ago, a combat team and I were given a mission to kill a gigantic group of vampires because they were mercilessly killing innocents.

Their fatality rate was 500 humans a day. We ambushed them and a battle had begun.

Flashback - 3 years ago

I was fine however my team was overwhelmed by the vampire's numbers. One after another, my team was ruthlessly slaughtered until I was the only one left.

Though, surrounded by bloodthirsty creatures, I continued to fight; never letting the thought of defeat get in the way.

I killed half of the remaining vampires leaving me with 100. I sliced another head off with my blade and stabbed another one through their heart with my other sword.

In my peripheral view, I saw a vampire about to pounce on me. I got ready to decapitate him but a blurred figure knocked him out the air.

The vampire's lifeless body landed with a loud thud on the ground. Without looking, I swung behind me; killing another and turned to the one responsible.

I would have called him human if it wasn't for the wolf ears on his head, sharp fingernails to the point of almost being claws, and his fangs.

Hybrid.

His eyes met mine and he froze. He was so out of it that he didn't notice the vampire coming at him and fast too.

I threw my right blade at his head; narrowly missing his ear and speared the incoming vampire behind him.

I didn't care about his safety but my mission was to exterminate every vampire here so it was just convenient.

I felt an incoming presence from behind me and I turned around to swing the blade in my left hand. Unfortunately, I was just barely too slow.

The vampire was able to get a slash at my lower back. The blow caused me to fall face forward and hit the hard ground. I tried to get back up but my body refused to.

I could feel the blood gushing out of my wound. The vampire walked around and crouched down next to me. He grabbed my chin and I slapped his hand away.

He hissed and moved to rip out my throat. Before he was able to do so, his head suddenly disappeared. His headless body dropped and I looked up.

Wolf-boy held the vampire's head in his hand. He looked absolutely pissed.

He threw the head and charged at the remaining vampires who were just standing on the sidelines until now. He killed every single last one of them until we were the only ones left.

After decapitating the last vampire, he calmed his heavy breath and ran back to me. He inspected my wound and moved fast. He tore off his shirt and tried to stop my endless bleeding.

I noticed in the midst of his panic that his right eyes was shut and had a bleeding gash on his eye lid.

He didn't seem to worry about it and just focused on me. I pushed his hands away and just waited for death. I'm not one for giving in but I wouldn't create false hope for myself and think I'd survive this.

My wound was too deep. I started to fade and he tried to keep me awake. Finally, my vision darkened and I blacked out.

Time skip

My eyes opened to be met with pure white. I took a second to gain my bearings and realized I was lying on a bed. I sat up and looked around.

Nothing but white walls surrounded me. I looked down at me body and found a clean black t-shirt and pants on my body.

Something on my arm catches my attention and I reach out to inspect it. Some kind of metal bracelet was cuffed around my bicep.

I tried to pull it off, but it refused to move even a millimeter; even with my strength. A door slides open; revealing my Commander and wolf-boy. They walked towards me and Commander spoke.

"01, after you had blacked out, one of our helicopters landed at the site of combat and recovered your body. You were taken back to base and was treated. Somehow, you were able to be saved. You are very fortunate."

While he spoke, I moved my hand behind me and felt under my shirt. I felt that bandages that surrounded my torso tightly.

"You should also be grateful to Masaki-san for ending the battle when you couldn't."

I felt 'Masaki's' eyes on me but I kept my attention on Commander.

"You are to rest until your injuries are fully healed and you are combat ready again."

"Yes, sir."

Without another word, he turned around and left threw the door; leaving me and wolf-boy alone. Silence followed after that until he spoke up.

"The names, Hiro."

I glanced at him from my side and noticed that a black eyepatch covered his right eye. I gave him a curt nod in acknowledgement and stood up from the bed. I began to walk away towards the door.

"What? Not going to say anything to your savior?"

I stopped walking and spoke without facing him.

"I understand that I'm am in your debt for finishing a battle that I couldn't. However, once I have done so, I have nothing more do with you."

I began to move again and just as I was 3 feet away from the exit, my arm was grabbed.

I turned to face him and said, "Move your ha- "

I was cut off by his lips meeting mine. He broke the kiss a second later and whispered lowly, "You won't want to break off our connection completely once I'm done with you, amare."

He ducked his head again but I snatched my arm back and kneed him hard. He fell down and held himself. I finally made it out the door but I faintly hear the words, "Feisty, I like it."

Present
~~~~~~~~
Ever since then, Hiro would follow me around like the lost puppy he was and bug me with every breath he had.

I never got a break from him because Commander recruited him into the base because of his strength as a hybrid.

Meaning, no matter how annoying he was, I couldn't kill him despite me wanting to so badly.

The only breaks I get from him was when I was given a new identity and relocated somewhere. It takes him a week to figure out where I had disappeared to since the information is classified; yet he always pops up anyway.

"Masaki-san, can you please sit down?"

"Sure."

There were open seats near the front but instead of taking one of those he walked to the seat behind me.

"Move." Was all he said to the kid occupying the desk.

The kid got up quickly without question and took a seat at the front. Hiro sat down and threw an innocent smile at me. I turned away from him which seemed to piss him off.

"Really, nothing?"

I just tuned him out like every other time. Class began and Hiro wouldn't shut up. He kept whispering and throwing bits of paper to get my attention.

By the end of class, I was drowning in ripped paper and was ready to choke a certain hybrid the f*ck out.

Though, annoyed deeply on the inside, I stood up calmly and exited the classroom for my next class. Halfway down the hallway, an arm slung itself across my shoulders and drew me closer to its owner.

"How's it going, Kaori? We should catch up on what I've missed; don't you think?"

I elbowed him in his ribs; causing him to double over to catch his breath. I continued to walk while Hiro went to move to a nearby wall for support.

"Guess this was not a good time for 'catching up'. Don't worry, amare, you'll be seeing more of me. I promise you that."

Unfortunately, Hiro is a man of his word. So when he said, 'You'll be seeing more of me.', it means he'll undoubtedly be there to be a pain in my a** every waking moment.

Just how he'll do that is something I'll have to figure out on my own.

Time skip - After school
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The night had finally passed and I was ready to go back 'home'. I had found out, much to my utter annoyance, that Hiro and I shared a complete schedule.

I was beginning to understand his, 'You'll be seeing more of me.', remark. Seems like I can't escape him this time around.

Once this mission is over, I'll ask Commander if we need him anymore so I can finally execute his a**. We had arrived at the mansion. We entered the giant doorway and before we separated our own ways, Reiji spoke up.

"I have an announcement."

Yui and I stopped walking up the stairs while the others just stood on the ground because they were going to teleport to their rooms.

"You all must attend dinner tonight. Karlheinz and another guest will visit us. I expect all of you to be here in 3 hours and to be on your best behavior or you will be punsihed."

After that, the vampire's teleported away and Yui and I continued up the stairs. She went to her room to do whatever and I went into mine to begin my report.

Time skip - 3 hours later

I had grabbed Yui to make sure she would be on time to dinner and we headed down. As I entered the dining hall, I could immediately tell something was off.

There stood a man with long white hair at the head of the table and giving the bloodsuckers a warm smile.

The Sakamaki's glared at him while the Mukami's looked at him with respect. He turned to looked at us and his smile grew even more.

"Ah, Yui. It's a pleasure to finally meet. I'm Karlheinz." He walked up to us, shook her hand and then turned to me.

"I don't think we've met before. And, you are?"

Despite his simple words, I could tell he was lying through his teeth. This wasn't the first time he has met me.

However, this was my first time meeting him which was the confusing matter. He extended his hand to me and I just let it hang.

"I'm no one you need to know."

He retracted his hand and examined me. After his look over of me, he walked back to the table. The servants brought the food but nobody moved to eat.

Karlheinz broke the empty silence by saying, "I'll be quick about this and do what I really came here for. I'm here to introduce to you someone who will be staying here for a while."

I really don't care. Suddenly a figure walked through the hall's doors and stood next to Karl. The 'figure' locked eyes with me and gave me a smirk.

Oh, for f*cks sake. Hiro was now currently being stared down 10 vampires and he just waved in response.

"Hiro will be staying here and all of you will treat him kindly. It was nice meeting you, Yui, Kaori." And with that he left.

Funny thing was, despite my lack of introduction, he still knew my current alias's name. If he new my 'name' already, why the h*ll did he ask in the first place?

Time skip - After Dinner
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dinner ended in awkward silence and we had separated once again. Now that I'm back in my room, I changed into a pair of loose black shorts and a plain black t-shirt.

My body was starting to feel fatigue from the past week. It was also time for my weekly five hours of sleep.

I put Yui's earpiece back in my ear. I had taken it out before dinner since I was with her the entire time. My only weakness when sleeping is that I sleep heavy.

A god d*mn tornado could be 5 feet away from me and I still wouldn't wake up.

I walked into the closet and took one of my guns out from my suitcase. Better safe, than sorry. I turned the lights off and climbed into the bed.

I placed the gun under my pillow and kept my hand on the trigger. Finally, peace. I quickly fell into darkness and slept.

Time skip - 5 hours later

I opened my eyes and felt refreshed. I was belly down on the bed with my hand still on my gun. The only thing out of place was the weight on top of me and the arm around me.

I drew my gun from under the pillow and aimed it at whoever was the culprit.

"Now, now, amare. Shooting someone after you've just woken up is a bit much, don't you think?" Hiro's grip around me tightened and he placed his head on top of mine.

He's lucky he doesn't have a full clip in his chest right know. I lowered my gun and set it in the nightstand next to the bed.

"Get off."

He chuckled. "Why would I do that? I'm quite comfortable here."

I began to roll out of bed but was dragged back. I was turned so that Hiro and I were facing each other and our faces were only a few inches apart.

I was about to shove him away but he caught my hands and rolled us so he was directly on top of me.

"Mov-" before I could even get a full word spoken, I was cut off by Hiro in his oh-so special way.

I felt a prick on my thigh and my body began to lose feeling. After a few seconds, I had lost complete control of my body.

"And, that was?" I asked.

"A new paralyzing serum I had developed. It's still being tested but I wanted to see if it worked properly as of now."

"That's not your only reason."

"Smart as ever, amare. You are correct. That wasn't my single reason. Though, I wanted to test its effectiveness, I also wanted to do this."

He suddenly dipped his head and nuzzled himself into my neck. One of his hands cradled my head while the other snaked under me and wrapped around my waist.

He planted kisses up and down my neck from my collar bone to my ear. When he reached my ear, he began to nimble on it a bit.

He let go of my ear and whispered, "I know you've missed me, amare. I've certainly missed you."

He kissed down along my jaw and kissed my lips once again. He bit my bottom lip before going into another kiss.

Just when he slipped his knee in between mine, I felt the feeling begin to come back into my fingers. Soon, I had feeling in my entire body again.

Hiro had made a big mistake when he placed his knee in between mine since he had also placed one of my knees in between his.

The second he tried to slide his tongue into my mouth, I rammed my knee upward into his very sensitive area. He froze and I shoved him off causing him to roll of the bed and hit the ground.

I finally got out of bed and said, "You were right. I did miss that."

I grabbed him by the back of his shirt and dragged him to the door while he was still groaning. I threw him out the door and went to sit on my bed.

It was the weekend meaning I'm free for 2 days. Hopefully, it won't be a pain in the a** today.

Hiro's POV - After 01 fell asleep
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was late so I figured why not go and see what's going on with my amare. I teleported into her room and found her asleep.

She was absolutely stunning. It's hard to say this was the same heartless girl I had fell in love with three years ago. That day changed my life forever.

In the midst of battle, there she stood, tall and strong, my one true amare. From the very second I had laid eyes on her, I had fallen helplessly for her.

My father was a werewolf while my mother was a vampire. My father had imprinted on my mother when he had laid his eyes on her and my mother slowly fell him as well.

They got married and had me. Since I was a hybrid, I never thought me imprinting would have been possible but it did. And, it just so happened to be her.

So, when I saw that filthy vampire injure my amare, I went ballistic. All I saw was red. By the time I had calmed down, every single remaining vampire had been massacred.

The anger I felt before was nothing compared to when I had seen her condition. Blood spilling out of her by the second.

I took a deep breath. Everything is alright, Hiro. She's alive now and that's all that matters. I walked over to the bed and brushed the back of my hand over her cheek.

I wasn't worried about waking her since I know she's a heavy sleeper. Her one weakness.

I yawned and realized it's been a week since my last sleep. Since I'm here, I might as well stay. I climbed into bed with her and looked at her for a little bit.

I slowly raised the back of her shirt just enough to expose a gruesome scar that covered her entire lower back.

I'll never forgive myself for allowing her beautiful skin to have been marred. I leaned down and planted a light kiss on the scar and then moved her shirt back in place.

I laid down and put an arm around her. I kissed her temple and closed my eyes.

She doesn't know how h*llish these past 3 years have been. Never being able to truly love her completely and hold her when I want to like now.

It's hard loving someone so beautiful, yet so heartless. But I do it anyway. It'll take time for her to admit that she belongs completely to me.

Her body. Her soul. Her 'heart' as well. As of 3 years ago, I was hers. And for the rest of eternity, she's mine.
