Ryo's POV

"Unfortunately, it wasn't long enough, brother." Why the h*ll is Ren here?

"Ouch, that hurts. And here I am, only trying to wish my baby sister a happy birthday."

"It's unneeded. Leave." Kei's eyes began to glow and she bared her fangs.

Ren looked up at the moon and let out a small chuckle before he coasted his gaze directly at his sibling. His eyes that were identical to hers glowed as well and his fangs extended over lip.

"Come make me."

Kei disappeared from my side without another word and suddenly reappeared behind him.

I moved forward to stop her but Shiro's arm kept me from doing so.

"This fight is hers, not yours."

And a fight it was.

Ren didn't move a muscle as she swung her leg downwards onto his head but before she could ax kick him, he disappeared as well and reappeared facing her.

There was a small crater in the ground where Kei's foot made contact instead of Ren's skull. They both looked at the whole in the ground then back at each other.

The same evil smile creeped onto their faces and they charged at each other simultaneously. The fight was fast paced and could only be kept up with if your had a vampire's sight.

By the end of the fight, multiple trees and bones were broken as they repeatedly threw each other into the trees and took brutal hits left and right.

Kei was lying down on the ground while listlessly looking at the sky whereas Ren sat at the base of a tree holding his broken arm.

He slowly stood up while using the tree as support.

"Well that didn't go as planned." He said to no one in particular.

Kei abruptly sat up and stared down her brother. She sighed and got up off the ground but not without a few grunts of pain from her more than likely broken ribs.

"Then was your genius plan, dumbass?"

Ren took a few seconds before her an answer. He straightened up as best as he could and aimed a serious glance at her.

"I came here to give you a warning."

"And here I thought you were 'only trying to wish your baby sister a happy birthday'".

"Kei. I'm serious."

She looked him in the eye for about a minute and it looked like had silent conversation between them.

"What's there to be warned about."

"Danger."

"Yeah, that's specific."

"I don't know what kind of danger is coming, but all I know is that if you aren't careful, you will get hurt."

"And how did come you across this information."

"...It doesn't matter. All that does matter is that you should be careful from here on out."

"Wow. It actually sounds like you care a about me for once."

Ren didn't reply as he was looking down with a  slight sad expression.

He began to walk away from us while saying, "I've always cared, Kei. And by the way...I did come here to say happy birthday, sis."

He disappeared into the tree line and blended into the night without looking back.

I teleported over to Kei's side and gave her support which she oddly didn't refuse for once.

I lifted her chin and examined her injuries. She raised her good arm and wiped the dripping blood off of her face.

"Ready to go home?"

"...Yeah...Lets go home."

I scooped her up into my arms and teleported her back to my room back at my mansion. Shiro had gone home as well to wherever he lives.

I sat Kei on my bed and went to get a wet towel to clean the blood off. She didn't need her wounds to be attended to since they heal on their own quickly.

I wiped her face off while she kept her eyes closed. Once she was clean, I laid the towel to the side. The silence between us gave me time to examine her features further.

I reached my right hand up towards her face and brushed her cheek with my thumb softly back and forth. This girl...doesn't even realize what she does to me.

I didn't know how long we stayed like that but the peaceful moment was soon interrupted by her speaking to me.

"Could you help me change, please."

I chuckled and drifted my eyes over her tired face.

"Be careful, Kei. Asking that question to any boy is dangerous."

"Luckily you aren't any boy."

I wouldn't be so sure of that. In fact, I'm so much worse than you could imagine.

I stood and went to the drawer that held her pajamas that she uses when she stays here. I walked back to the bed and assisted her in changing.

I tried my best to not look at her but in the end I took a slight glance of her beautiful body. Give me a break. With a body like that, it's a crime to not appreciate it. Sue me.

She was barely able to stay awake while I changed her and by the time I was done she was basically passed out.

I laid her down gently and changed my own clothes into some comfortable pajamas. I jumped into bed once I was finished and then laid her carefully on my chest.

My arm wrapped around her waist and held her close to me while my other hand played with her hair. It's been a long day, hasn't it Kei?

I leaned down and placed a kiss on her temple. Happy Birthday, Kei. And I wish many more to come.

Kei's POV - Dream

I stood under an odd apple tree in the middle of nowhere. I looked around but couldn't see anything past 15 feet around because of the ominous fog surrounding me.

What the hell is up with my dreams and fog lately?

"Eve."

...Yeah...We're not doing this again.

"Eve."

"Show yourself."

"Eve."

I swear I'm going to kill this guy if he says Eve one more time.

"Prepare yourself. We're coming for you soon, Eve."

It's been far long. I'll try to do better.
