Kei's POV
~~~~~~~~~~
I left Reiji behind and wandered the halls aimlessly. After 10 minutes of random walking, I stumbled upon an empty music room.
It had everything from guitars to pianos to drums to banjos to...spoons? F*ck it. Who am I to judge? I'm the one whose a creature of the night after all.
Instead of going straight to my favorite, the guitar, I sat down at the piano. I felt like playing something more peaceful since the bloodsucker's have only been causing me annoyance and headaches.
Though, I typically don't listen to classical music, I can still appreciate it's calming nature. Hey, with a life like mine, for once I could actually have peace.
I lifted the board up and laid my hands down on the keys. Then, I let my fingers fly.
Shu's POV
~~~~~~~~~~
I was in the entrance hall as usual listening to music on the couch. I was quickly interrupted by Ayato and Kanato over who gets to eat the...marshmallows?
I got annoyed by their argument and said, "You guys...are too noisy.", just before I teleported somewhere else.
I then found myself to be in the music room and expected it to be empty like always. However, today unfortunately, it wasn't and someone else was sitting at the piano.
I dropped on one of the couches, too lazy to tell them to leave. As I landed, I heard a beautiful sound through my headphones.
I took them out and heard the melody clearer. Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, eh? I see they have good taste at least. I closed my eyes and relaxed to their playing.
Why...does their music...make me feel so...happy? Unlike my usual attitude, I felt light and...at peace.
Just as I was about to drift off, I heard a loud crash of the keys and snapped my eyes open again. I looked over to see her looking at me.
Why did she stop? She began to turn away but for some reason I stopped her.
Kei's POV
~~~~~~~~~
I stopped playing because I got annoyed by the presence that appeared in the room. I don't like playing in front of other people and this person was no exception.
I stood up and turned to walk away. I saw Shu laying in the couch, looking at me with...disappointment? That can't be right.
I looked away and continued to walk. I felt an arm grab me and I immediately pulled away. I looked over my shoulder and saw Shu standing behind me.
He looked shocked by his actions himself and stood frozen. I began walking again but got pulled back again.
What the f*ck? I was about to punch him but I felt arms wrap around my waist and was pulled into his chest. Lovely. Now, I can't shadow somewhere else.
He placed his forehead against mine and looked into my eyes. There was something in his eyes that I didn't recognize and I didn't like it.
My arms were pinned to my sides and he leaned forward. At first I thought he was going to bite me, but I saw that he was moving dangerously close to my mouth with his.
I leaned back to avoid him and kicked his shin. He groaned and his grip loosened but not completely. Luckily, it was just enough to give me the ability to escape.
The f*ck is up with him? But more importantly...why do I feel like someone is watching me? I left and went back to my room. I dropped face forward on my bed and let out a sigh.
My phone began to ring and I reluctantly moved to grab it. The second I pressed the answer button, an unfortunately familiar voice sounded through.
"Keiiiiiiiiii-chaaaaaaannnn!!!!!!"...I hung up the phone. It began ringing again and I turned off the ringer. I tossed it across the room into an empty chair.
I climbed further onto the bed and grabbed my laptop again. I also grabbed my headphones from around my neck and placed them on my head. I plugged them in and watched YouTube.
When I was about 5 minutes in an episode of Ridiculousness, I heard a loud a** bang on my window. I turned to look at it and was practically scarred for life.
Shiro was outside my window with a smile that could put The Joker to shame. He pointed to the lock and mouthed, Let me in.
And so, I did the obvious and got up. I walked over to the window...and closed the drapes. More banging was made on the other side, but I just went back to my show.
Just as I was about to hit the play button, Shiro teleported into the room and pounced on me.
He held me down and leaned deathly close to my face. "Now, that was just rude, Kei-chan."
I didn't struggle and before he could get any closer, I just kneed the idiot in the balls. He groaned and fell off the bed. I sat up and said, "You know I don't like being touched, dumba**."
He popped back up as if he was never injured and hugged, more like suffocated, me.
"Yeesh, I'm just kidding! You know I love you." He said jokingly. Love, my a**. More like love to annoy the f*ck out of me.
He let go of me when he saw I was about to kick him. He then walked over to the window and unlocked it.
He leaned his head out and said, "You comin' in or not?"
...What? I moved closer and leaned my head out as well...What...The...F*ck?...Ryo was currently standing on the ledge of the window and looked like he was dying inside.
He looked over to us and said, "Hey, Kei. Um...can I come in? It's not like I'm scared or anything but..."
He trailed off, not able to come up with a legit excuse.
For some f*cked up reason, Ryo has been deathly afraid of heights since his childhood and me and Shiro would always tease him about it.
I would have thought he would have out grown out of it but it seems that I was mistaken. Why didn't he just...you know...TELEPORT IN?
I moved slightly out the way and he practically jumped through the window.
He landed on his feet and then kissed the ground...Boi. He stood up again and looked at me. He looked a bit irritated but tried to mask it with his usual attitude. What did I do?
We just stood there, looking at each other, and I soon got annoyed by them interrupting me for nothing.
"So...what the h*ll do you want?"
Shiro gained an enormous smile on his face and said, "We're going out!"
I looked at them with my typical blank face. "No." And, I jumped on the bed again. I didn't even get to lay down fully before they grabbed my arms and legs and carried me off.
"To bad. I wasn't asking." said Shiro with a lowered voice and mischievous glint in his eyes. I didn't try to fight back knowing it would just be wasted energy.
With their strength combined you would need at least 18 wrecking balls to knock them down for 5 minutes and you can't run from Shiro.
"should know. I've tried so many times I should get a Noble Peace Prize because I endured his bullsh*t.
They threw me out the window and they teleported down to the ground below me. They caught me just before I could hit the ground and continued to carry me somewhere.
They reached the gates and out to their limo. They have one together because they live with each other. I was tossed in and landed on one of the seats.
They entered next and we left but little did I realize that a certain lazy male vampire was watching us with annoyance and...jealousy?
Ryo's POV
~~~~~~~~~~
We were riding in me and Shiro's limo somewhere. I don't know where that somewhere would be since Shiro just had to be full of surprises.
I looked over to Kei and found her with her eyes closed while listening to music. I turned to look out the window and the previous events reappeared in my mind again.
Flashback
~~~~~~~~~~
Me and Shiro were currently creeping around the Sakamaki's mansion looking for Kei. While Shiro was focused on a random bird, I looked through the windows but only found empty rooms.
Finally, I found one that appeared to be a music room and I saw that Kei was sitting at a Grand Piano while playing a pretty melody.
She really is...quite beautiful. I enjoyed her playing until I felt one of the bloodsucker's presence pop in. It seemed that Kei felt it as well but continued to play on for another minute or two.
I saw her expression become more annoyed and she crashed her hands down on the keys creating an awful sound in comparison to her previous song.
She stood up and began leaving. I saw that the presence moved and grabbed her arm. The presence turned out to be none other then Shu Sakamaki.
He seemed shocked by his own actions because he froze in place. Kei broke free from his grip and turned away again.
He grabbed her once more but this time he pulled her into his chest and placed his forehead on hers. He better not! But he did.
He began moving his face closer to hers and before I could see their lips connect, I turned away not able to bear watching anymore.
I told Shiro, who was still focused on the bird, that I didn't see her. Shiro then decided to move on and search for Kei's room.
Eventually we found the it but her window was locked. We were standing on a ledge and when I decided to stupidly look down, my vision became blurred a bit.
I quickly looked back up and took deep breaths. How can a powerful first-blood, like me, be afraid of heights of all things? God, I'm pathetic.
With my little panic attack, I failed to realize that Shiro had disappeared until I heard the window unlock and he poked his head out.
"You comin' in or not?" After he asked that, Kei popped her head out as well.
I'm sure I appeared weak as h*ll to them but I still asked, "Hey, Kei. Um...can I come in? It's not like I'm scared or anything but..."
I didn't finish my sentence because I knew if I did I would have came up with a lame reason.
I don't know why but every since I was young, I have been terrified of heights despite me being a 'big, bad vampire'. And, because of this Shiro and Kei would tease me about it.
sigh* Just the thought of their taunting irritates me. I noticed that Kei had moved out the way a little bit and I practically threw myself through the window.
I'm not ashamed to say that I kissed the floor when I landed on the ground...it's just that I'll never say it out loud. I stood back up and looked at Kei.
The scene of her and him from earlier flashed through my mind and I got irritated again. Seriously though, I never knew they had gotten so close. She wasn't even struggling!
I could tell my emotions were showing on my face because Kei was looking at me confused and I quickly changed my expression to normal...or at least I tried.
Soon an awkward silence surrounded us and I could she was getting annoyed by our interruption.
"So...what the h*ll do you want?" She finally asked.
An enormous smile appeared on Shiros' face and responded excitedly, "We're going out!"
She looked at us with her usual blank face. "No."
And jumped on the bed again. We didn't even let her get to lay down fully before we grabbed her arms and legs and carried her off towards the window. "To bad. I wasn't asking."
I heard Shiro say with a lower voice and mischievous glint in his eyes. I swear this guy is bipolar or has a second personality. It's hard to keep track with his idiotic pace and all.
And so we threw her out the window and caught her before she hit the ground. We dragged her to our limo without any issue since she didn't struggle.
Neither would I when dealing with the psychop-Shiro...I meant Shiro. We tossed her into the limo and we came in next.
I shut the door but not before I gave a small smirk to a certain lazy vampire who returned it with a glare and we drove off.
Present
~~~~~~~~
And that is how I ended up here. Now that I think back, I really should have just teleported into her room to begin with.
For 20 minutes we have been riding in pure silence, even Shiro which was a miracle in itself. I felt the car stop and saw that we were parked in front of a huge a** glass building.
I turned back to Shiro but found him shaking a very unconscious Kei violently to get her attention.
Her eyes snapped open and looked ready to kill. "Get up, sleepyhead! We're here!"
He said happily and before she was able to wrap her fingers around his neck, he slipped out the door, just barely out of her reach. She sighed and then exited as well.
I followed her out and walked to catch up with Shiro how was already at the door while I was dragging Kei since I knew she wasn't going to move willingly.
We caught up and walked through the door. We were greeted by the reception lady who gave me and Shiro a seductive smile but failed miserably.
We walked past her and entered an elevator. Shiro pressed the top floor and the doors closed. The second we started going up, I instantly felt sick. I did not think this through.
We made it to the top finally and I was the first one out. Shiro then led both of us somewhere and opened the doors to a room with bright lights.
He was instantly surrounded by people and taken somewhere else, leaving me and Kei behind. He came back out but in a completely different outfit and stood in the center of the lights.
Someone told him to specifically stand a certain way and he complied. About a hundred flashes followed after and I was temporarily blinded.
He walked off the set and disappeared again. 20 minutes later he came out again in another outfit. He posed again and this process continued for another 5...f*cking...hours.
Every time he came out, he appeared to have a different personality.
From friendly,
To cold,
To sexy,
To distant,
To dangerous,
To mythical,
And lastly, sophisticated.
...I don't even understand how Shiro, of all people, could even act 'sophisticated'. But seriously though, it appeared that I had forgotten that Shiro was a professional male model.
I guess his personality made me forget he's actually good at...anything. Oops.
When he was finished, he pounced on me and said, "I'm done!"
I pushed him off and said, "Next time, tell me where your dragging me to. Actually better yet don't drag me anywhere so I can do something truly useful."
He pouted and said, "Touché. However, I know the next place will make you happy. Well, you and Kei."
The second he said her name, only then did I remember her existence. Where's is she actually. And so, for the next 10 minutes we searched for Kei.
Eventually, we found her asleep in one of the chairs in a dark corner outside the photo shoot room. Shiro tried to shake her again but Kei's hand caught his before he could.
She yawned and let go of his hands. "Can I leave now?"
"Yeah, I'm all done now!" Exclaimed Shiro while dragging her off to the elevator. When we were rounding a corner, we ran into someone. Well, more like Kei but...whatever.
The figure backed up a bit and said to Kei, "I'm sorry! Are you hurt?"
Shiro looked at them and then looked annoyed but then plastered on a fake smile. "Hey, Kou! Long time, no see." 'Kou' finally took his glance away from Kei and looked over to Shiro.
"Hey, Shiro! How has it been?"
"Its been good. You?"
"Great! Who are your friends?" He asked but mainly kept his gaze on Kei. I didn't like the way he looked at her.
Especially, since he is another vampire but only a half-blood which was easy to see. Shiro introduced us and pointed to us individually.
"This is Ryo. And this one, is Kei-chan." Kou still failed to look away from Kei.
Throughout this entire interaction, Kei still had her headphones on and was looking absently at a wall. I don't think she even realized there was someone standing in front of her.
Leave it to Kei to not care about a guy giving her attention. It wasn't until Kou moved so that he was in her line of view that she noticed him.
Kei gave him a nod and began walking to the elevator again. Kou seemed a bit stunned by him being ignored but soon gained an amused and interested look on his face.
He watched after her as she walked to the elevator without a care and we soon followed after her.
The elevator doors closed a few seconds after we entered and before they shut I could see Kou was still looking at Kei but his right eye was glowing.
The door were finally closed and the elevator began to move downwards. My irritation from before soon disappeared as I realized that I was standing in a dropping metal death box that was above the ground.
As soon as the doors opened again, I jumped through the doors onto solid ground. Shiro and Kei both passed by me as they exited.
Shiro was laughing and Kei just had a blank face but I could tell she found my behavior amusing. We all walked out to the limo and left the shooting site.
"Okay, now that that's done, I have somewhere else for us to go!" Great.
"And, that would be?" I asked.
"It wouldn't be a surprise if I told you, silly!" He said excitedly. He then handed me a stack of...tickets? What the f*ck would I need tickets for?
We continued to ride for another 30 minutes in silence. And by silence, I mean I wish I had silence. Shiro wouldn't shut up for a single second.
Kei was lucky she had her headphones to block out his annoying a** but I'm sure she would have thrown his a** out the window before the car even began with her temper.
When the car finally stopped, Shiro was the first one to get out, then Kei, then me and then I looked at our destination.
...Why the f*ck did he bring us to a god d*mn carnival? By now it was dark outside so the bright lights of the rides contrasted greatly against the night sky.
I turned to ask Shiro what was his plan but found him gone...I'll just kill him later or something. I then turned to Kei and saw her staring absently again.
"Oi, Kei." I said after I moved one side of her headphones off her ears. She gave me a small glare for touching her stuff but listened anyway.
"Shiro disappeared somewhere so...you want to walk around?"
"...Sure." And so we just randomly walked around the rides together in actual silence. I saw many couples walking around hand in hand who looked like they were really happy together.
It kind of made me want someone like that as well. I've never dated anyone because all the girls that were drawn to me were plastic and fake.
My eyes then drifted towards Kei. Maybe if it was Kei, I might not mind- Hold up. Like me and Kei would ever date each other. We'd fight to much to even get to the date part.
But, despite my thoughts, deep down I wasn't that against the idea of us being a couple.
I felt a hand brush mine and my heart skipped a beat. I looked over and saw Kei with the tickets in her hand that were once in mine.
I didn't even realize that we were standing in front of a ride which just happened to be the Ferris Wheel.
The ride monitor asked, "How many?"
Kei replied with, "Just one."
"Okay, that'll be 5 tickets. Oh, and which one of you will be riding tonight?" That's a stupid question 'cause it sure as h*ll won't be me riding in that spinning metal death trap.
"Him." She said while pointing to me.
"Eh?" Kei handed her the needed tickets and before I knew it, I was being thrown into the steel cage attached to the Ferris Wheel.
I turned myself around after face planting into the floor of it and saw Kei laughing slightly. The monitor looked a bit shocked by Kei's actions but moved to lock the cage anyway.
Kei began turn away but just as the monitor was about to close the door, I grabbed Kei and dragged her in as well.
I'll be d*mned before I let her win anything. The door was then locked and the ride began to turn.
Kei's POV
~~~~~~~~~~
It seems, unfortunately, my plan to get Ryo into the Ferris wheel alone failed and backfired. He actually had the nerve to drag me in here as well though I guess I deserved it...not really but whatever.
I would have shadowed back to the ground but the idiot next to me had an iron grip on one of my hands; keeping me in place.
We rode in silence and traveled around the wheel three times until the ride was over. And, we just so happened to be at the very top waiting for the wheel to take us to the bottom.
I could feel Ryo anxiousness because of his shaking leg. I bet the occasional swing of the cage wasn't helping him either.
Ryo finally let go of my hand and sighed. "Kei?"
"...Yeah?"
"I'm sorry."
"Sorry for-", before I could even finish my sentence, my vision was taken over by his figure and felt Ryo grab me by the waist. He scooted closer to me and nuzzled his head into my neck.
His hands were shaking a bit but settled after holding on to me for a while. He tightened his grip and let out a breath as if he was content.
I tried to get out of his grip but he wasn't having any of it and just buried his head deeper.
"Please...Just let me stay like this for a little longer."
Reluctantly, I allowed us to remain in that position but only because I doubted me kicking him would be good while being up this high and I don't plan on dying tonight.
Before I knew it, we had made it to the bottom but Ryo never moved once. As the Ferris wheel stopped, I separated us and crouched to exit.
I turned around to wait for Ryo but he was too busy looking at me with the same expression as Shu and it kind of freaked me out a bit.
We continued to look at each other until a brilliant idea popped into my head. Just as Ryo was about exit, I closed the door and locked it.
"Kei, what the h*ll are you doing? This isn't funny!" Said Ryo who was nervous to hear my reason.
I gave him an innocent smile and said, "Just a little payback for touching me without permission, dumba**."
I gave the ride monitor a total of 10 tickets because of my unplanned ride from before and Ryo's second ride.
I'm sure Ryo could have easily broken the barred door with his pinky but he wouldn't be so stupid as to do it in public. Shiro on the other hand, is a whole other story to deal with.
The ride began to turn and Ryo began shouting things at me that should never be repeated.
I began to walk away so I could put enough distance between me and him since I know he'll try to kill me the second he touches the ground.
He should really deal with his height issue. But whatever, it's not my problem.
