The Moon Sword (poem)
Notes:
!WARNING! This poem contains blood and violence!
This exercise required us to personify an object and write it from a first-person POV, and I thought about using a sword (this was the only object I could think of). But I couldn't write it in first-person because it was a bit hard, so instead I used third-person.
Also, this poem talks about the legendary Moon Sword! Yes, it's related to LOD! And I will officially declare it canon! This poem is basically a very short prologue/prequel about a war that happened a long time ago, when the Wolf King (aka the Moon King, thus King Salvador's ancestor. So this happened way before Salvador and King Black were born) used his Moon Sword to defeat the first Raven King in this first war.
Again, this poem is personifying the sword, and since the wolf king is using it, the sword he's holding is 'acting' like a wolf in this scene (get it? Moon, silver, wolf)
Anyways! Enjoy!

In this chaotic war, the Raven King stopped
He caught a glimpse of a twinkling threat from afar
That blade, slim yet sharp, clawed its enemies
That blade, long and bright, lunged at its enemies
That blade, it fought its way towards him, faster now that it smelled his fear amid this stench of death
Even when showered in blood, its silver glow burned brighter
Asserting its dominance upon these dark souls in battle
Finally, it met the Raven King with a heavenly clang against his crimson gladius, yet his arms wobbled and his weapon fled when the silver blade clanged again
Before the Raven King reacted, that silver thrusted itself into his body, the cold metal cut his heart in half
The Raven King knew but denied this reality
He refused this prophecy, that the rightful Wolf King will come and claw his heart with his holy Moon Sword
