Style & Voice (fiction)
Notes:
This was just an exercise to find our style and voice, and all we had to do is write different POVs. For example, I'm used to writing in third person, so now I'm required to write in first person to see if I'm good at it, and I'm used to writing from a man's POV, but now I'm required to write from a woman's POV and I have to think like her etc.
I have nothing else to say but enjoy, and I hope you like the twist at the end. :)
P. S. this piece is based on a true story that happened with me.
~~~
At first, she didn't have time to play with me, she told me she was busy with her adult life. It was understandable because we can't live our lives with fun only, I mean there has to be a balance between fun and work and emotions and other stuff.
But one day, that balance started to disappear when she started playing with me every single evening. And I guessed, was it because she bought more games for me? Yes, and how many? Two. But most of the time, she only played one game for hours, long hours to the point I stopped because I wanted to take a break. She wasn't happy about the way I behaved.
What game did she play? I let out a bored sigh when she opened the small lid on my head and inserted the game. My brain scanned it for a few seconds and it beeped.
"Ah, nothing like a friday evening to defeat the Arch-Illager once and for all," she said as she sat on her sofa, with my blue and white Joy-cons at her disposal.
Another Minecraft game. Can she at least finish Dark Souls first? The first game she bought?
