Oh I wonder (poem)
Notes:
This was an exercise to practice writing a poem in second-person POV, it was supposed to be amusing but I didn't pay attention because I was falling behind a bit in the session (the tutor went a little fast so I couldn't catch up so).
This poem is about my perspective and questions about people who go drinking and clubbing. Basically, it's actually more of a rant because seriously, I can't understand the point of drinking and clubbing (you'll get it when you read the poem). Consider this a POV of a Muslim woman coming from a religious family that is VERY sober (we don't have alcohol nor clubs nor bars no nothing in our country because it's completely banned due to obvious religious rules so)
Anyways, Enjoy! Also, no offense but this is just my brain not comprehending so...

I always wondered what it feels like to be in your shoes
How does it feel like when you are in a massive chamber filled with blinding colorful lights and deafening dubstep bursting through the speakers?
How does it feel like when you gulp shots, pints, and bottles of that burning substance down your throat? Doesn't it hurt you?
How does it feel like when you lose your mind and spill your secrets to the world? Only for troubles of the future to come and hunt you down
A man from my religion once told me, "when the clock strikes 5 or when the night falls, the demons come out to roam the streets"
I saw a couple of them once, they were near me and I feared for my life
So I'm sorry, but I prefer to stay with my books, sit beside the window and watch the sky cry
