Inspiration (fiction)
Notes:
I know it's been a while, was taking a break and focusing on my studies. And after a few lectures from creative writing, I think I finally started to have some motivation to continue writing.
Now, for our first week of fiction, we first started with inspiration. And we had an exercise where each of us wrote 5 words and passed the paper around, and we had to choose 5 different words from the other students who wrote them and use them as 'inspiration'.
I didn't use other words but rather, I took inspiration from my sub-conscience. Basically, I had this strange but intriguing dream about a couple of my characters going to a strange place. And I'm thinking about using this inspiration but in the far future when I develop the series further.
So here's a tiny sneak peek, enjoy :)

There were just too many of them, and the two kings couldn't continue to fight all of those hostile beasts, especially since they are outnumbered and enclosed by the stony walls of the cavern. And so they started running in the direction where there are fewer enemies, and they sliced and stabbed their way through.
"There! I see an opening!" King Salvador cried as he spotted the blinding light ahead of them.
They ran faster than ever, and with that light they regained their hope, for they were finally going to escape. However, once they lost the following beasts and jumped through the bright opening, the hope that they just had shattered once again at a sight they did not expect. Indeed they were outside of the cavern, but they were standing on the edge of it, for before them there was no floor at all.
The two kings' jaws dropped and their eyes never blinked when they found where the land was, or better say lands. There, above their heads, were large columns of earth floating in the sky, wrapped by a few wooden roots of a tree, and each column was surrounded by a ring of clouds.
"How long are we going to keep running and searching for this damn portal?!" The Raven King stomped the stone floor with a frustrated scream.
"I... I don't know..." King Salvador said, slowly crumbling into despair.
