Notes: 

This week were taught about the use of notebooks and (obviously) how notebooks help the writer/poet work on their writing and see progress. Most of the examples we saw were lists, and so they told us to write a list of things or words or write what we see or if we had an idea we have to write it down. 

Basically they're telling us to try and use the notebook to help us write our ideas and work on our projects. And interestingly enough, I made a list of words and I prefer to call this method a 'Word Sketch'. I only do this when I want to write a poem, and as the name implies, it's like you're sketching your poem first before you start lining it or polishing it. It's the same as drawing, you sketch an image first and once you have a good idea of what you're going to draw, you start lining the sketch and give it details afterwards. I'm doing the exact thing but with the use of words.

Poem: 

That fear from the past came looming in

A faint distant voice, a familiar one, warned me of abandonment 

That abandonment, could be caused by cruel false rumours, not again, not the loss

Lonliness, no longer peaceful lonliness, it's a depressive one 

I was intrigued, curious and excited to venture in this new world, to have this sweet harmless freedom 

Yet I have a limited time to savour this freedom of mine, before I am pulled back to the land that lacked colour and sympathy for one's well-being--

Wait, what's the point? Everywhere I go I see heartless people, life is getting dimmer, darker, painful, sadder and nature agrees

For once in our life, let's brighten lives by handing out our support and respect, push away those who want darkness

Let's open our mind to people's thoughts and perspectives, let's read their intentions before jumping down to that pit of harsh conclusions 

Let's be wise than those who are unwise and who prefer ignorance

We are human, we have emotions, and judgment can shatter our hearts and make us suffer 

 Let's show some human decency, even to those who walk the wrong path, and those who sin, because we all have a soul that deserve human empathy
